Since I was already there, I placed an in-store pickup order at 2:10 PM and asked how long it would take. I was told it would take about an hour for the order to appear in the system. However, I received the confirmation that my order was ready just 10 minutes later--after I had already left the store. This made it clear that the wait time I was given was inaccurate and misleading. When I returned around 3:30 PM, I showed my order number and confirmation email. The associate ignored me while she was on her phone texting and only acknowledged me after she finished. This felt unprofessional and disrespectful. Before handing me my order, she asked for my ID, which felt unnecessary given that I had the full order details and confirmation on my phone. In the end, she barely checked it anyway. First I walked around to see what they had and then I had someone ask me if I needed help, which I did. She pointed me in the direction of what I asked for but then left me. I still didn't find what I wanted and I kept walking around the store. I had two more sales associates help me but both of them quickly disappeared. Nobody seemed like they were trying to make a sale. I noticed the color of eye shadow I wanted was out of stock and someone tried to check and see if they had it in the back but it took over 10 minutes for her to finally come back and tell me they didn't have it.
