Then in the summer of 2013 they had a major fire and had to close down for almost a full year to renovate and totally rebuild. Since the rebuild the fire damaged the tanning salon next door so the new Lazio just opened up again and it is really a well designed and beautifully decorated upgrade. Also in the new Lazio is a cafe-lounge. Onto the food. They are known for their tomato pizza bread. Usually I go for a half $8. or you can have a quarter size for $5. Their tomato bread is a Quebec specialty. A really good tomato sauce and the bread is nice light and great to munch on small pieces. It makes wonderful finger food for a party. They also have an excellent selection of olives, sausages and desserts. Sometimes we get the tart au sucre, sometimes the 5 fruit. Also their bread is super fresh and a great place to get a fresh baguette. Some of their items are a bit on the pricer side so be careful and look at price. This is our go to Italian place for goods and I can tell by the lineup on Saturday's that it's many other people's go to place as well!

We have purchased cakes for special occasions here and they are wonderfully delicious and artistic! Another curious delight is their pizza bread. This is a Quebec specialty and theirs has a tad more garlic flavour but is richer in flavour than some other places. Everything I've had here is tasty. Really fresh and delish. I definitely will come back to test a sandwich. Good sandwich shops are hard to come by in Terrebonne- Mascouche so I'm looking forward to testing it out. The owners are a couple French Canadian-Italian and you can definitely see the pride they take in preparing high quality food.

I wish their seating cafe section was a little more cozy... the only reason for my 4 And also a greater variety of non cow milks... but they adjust with time! It's at the upper end of the spectrum in terms of cafe's that serve fresh baked goods and prepared foods. This location has expanded their cafe and also offered free wifi (a fantastic idea). For lunch you can get here in and out under $13 (taxes and tip) for an excellent lunch. On the day I came by I had indulged in a nourishing fresh bacon sandwich which was pannini grilled with lettuce and tomato. I was able to enjoy a fresh pea soup (not too salty) with this. All around it was awesome. People who know me well know I complain about a lot of the crap quality food in this province but here it's nothing but excellent quality all the way! Selection is good of soups, sandwiches, some pasta dishes and salads. Originally I'd come for their breads as they have really high quality crispy but fresh and soft inside breads. Baked fresh daily. Also their pastries and cakes are decadent and delicious. A very popular place especially during the holidays or valentines day as they always have a good selection of artisan chocolate.

Then a couple of years ago they added an extension and added fresh meats, seafood and prepared meals. Prices of the fruit and veg are a bit more expensive but I believe their quality and freshness to be a bit higher than your Metro, Super C, Maxi etc. Also it's nice to come into a smaller store to be able to get in and out of quickly (with some staple items) and typically not the longer lineups. I have found that their meat and seafood are very expensively priced (we go to Costco)! The place to me is the perfect size of corner grocery stores (from an era in which there were local supermarkets). Now the majority of the supermarkets are so big and you don't need half of the items they have. Although price is a tad higher I don't mind paying for it for produce. For meat however this is a different ballgame.
