The building has an great history and has a very warm atmosphere. Service was excellent with every attention to details that you would normally find in very upscale restaurants. Realizing that we were cutting it close to get to our play, the owners went all the way to driving us to the theater in order to avoid having to try to find a parking spot. On the food front, Thierry the chef and owner is offering a great variety of home made products (foie gras in various form is to die for!) always show casing his food with plate presentation that once again you would expect in top restaurants. Flavors, textures are all spot on and are a great equilibrium between traditional french cooking and new world modern twists. If you are in the vincinity I would definitely say that this is a place worth trying!

They serve a unique my motor which is a mixture of cider and orange juice. I had the duck burger for dinner and we came back from brunch where I had their hangover platter which is basically everything. French toast, sausage, bacon, toast, crepes, eggs and ham. The ham is a show stopper. It's so delicious. And the duck burger. Well that was like having a religious experience. For only $15 you get a large portion of smoked duck with mushrooms and cheese on a hamburger bun. It's so juicy and flavourful. I can't do it justice here you just have to try it.

With a small establishment with 1 cook and a small kitchen, it does makes me wonder how could that be possible. Breakfast/Brunch with eggs, bacon, crepes and french toast ($11.99) is disappointing... a lot of food, a lot of carbs... everything is luke warm. It definitely taste like and look like something I made at home. Should I be excited? My Yelp friend's poutine and burger looks depressing... but at least it is specials for $7.95. BTW, I think he kind of like the maple syrup... when he started dipping my whole wheat toast in that... I guess he must still be hungry after he ate his food. At least the waiter is nice, the coffee is good and the hand made scrapbook menu is cute!

Only small complaint was it took a long time to clear the table... they brought the bills before this was done. Not a huge deal. Would go back with people who have big appetites. Edited to add: there was a live musician (on a Saturday morning!) who played some lively guitar that set a calm mood. He is not paid by the establishment so throw him a few dollars if you enjoy it.
