It teaches knife skills, safety, and you get to take your fresh fish home and cook a delicious meal with it. They also have a bar inside, of course it is New Orleans, and I got an espresso martini and it was quite good! So great fresh fish and cocktails! The fish class came with two large fish, you got to keep the knife, and learned skills. The lady monger demonstrated on her fish, and then watches you carefully, guiding you to ensure the best technique. There was about 4 people per cutting table and they also required use to wear apron and gloves. Don't feel intimidated because they are right there guiding, ensuring safety. It was a fun unique experience. Even if you know how to gut a fish, you may still learn something new! I have to come back and try some these fresh sandwiches or poboys. There is so much greatness here, you just have to swing by and check it out yourself!

The Good: The Staff was lovely and the Tostada was AMAZING!…read more The Bad: Everything else... Outside of the Tostadas, the food we had was shockingly bad. The fried "Captain's Platter" is $35, it's worth maybe $12. It was 4 shrimp, 4 oysters, and a decent sized piece of fish, all considerably over-fried, with fairly plain coleslaw and hushpuppies that looked like they had been cooking since the shift the day before. --- I honestly couldn't believe this was brought to the table, but it seemed normal so apparently that is how it is served there. It was VERY small and fairly overcooked. The boiled crabs were mush. Decent flavor, not great. Would not recommend. The charbroiled oysters again seemed to have been cooking for 3-4 times longer than they should have. They were rubber, flavorless and unappetizing to look at. They were pretty bad. - At least they were clean. I didn't get any shell. But I also didn't get any oyster in 1 of the 6 oysters served at $18. Then we got a Sausage Poboy. The sausage was decent, but the sandwich wasn't good. WHY WOULD YOU TOAST THE BREAD? NO ONE WANTS SAUSAGE BETWEEN TWO CROUTONS. Just kind of a weird mistake that makes you wonder if anyone there has tried to eat any of their own food. Because it's not easy... Honestly 90% of the food we got there was pretty bad. But we will be back for Tostada alone. That was phenomenal. 10/10 Delicious.

It is a bit of a challenge to find as they don't have a sign up yet so you just need to park at Pucchino's and walk under their patio and then you will see the front door entrance to Krazy Clay's.

I hadn't packed mine and showed up with a full belly of food yet still managed to drink a hot chocolate, eat a bowl of jambalaya and a couple spoons of my friends gumbo. I know I said it was a sweet shop but apparently the owner just really enjoys cooking and boy can throw down in the kitchen! It was good and unexpected for a "sweet shop!" ha From what I understand from a friend his burgers are really good too! If you're looking to get some cocoa bombs to better enjoy this cold front moving in he has a bunch. He also has French vanilla cappuccino bombs which I'm not a coffee drinker but that sounds interesting. He has cute coffee mugs and tumblers for sale too! The coffee mug with something about the Grinch and a cocoa bomb would make for a really cool Christmas gift idea! Just sayin. And before you judge me for the pictures yes we went ham buying cocoa bombs! It's the best way to drink hot chocolate let's be real!
