My Texas friends and I came for a girls day in March and I am now back in May. Lindsey is the nail lady I see and personally request. Her foot rubs are superb and quite possible my favorite foot rubber. The classic pedi is perfect if you need a quickie and the deluxe is even more grand! The sea salt and hot stone makes it a wonderfully relaxing experience. I have deep big toe ingrowns and that past two times I have been here the team has help relieve the pain that it can cause. Hot nails is tucked away in the same parking lot as vanguard church off Austin bluffs and academy.

I had been here with the previous owners, so I was curious to see how it was after the change. The pedicure was okay, but it wasn't the same experience as before. The technicians spent a lot of time talking with each other, which made it less relaxing. My technician also almost skipped the callus remover until I asked, even though it was included in the peppermint package I chose. They also didn't offer any water or drinks like they used to. Overall, it was just okay. It's a convenient option if you live nearby, but I feel the experience isn't quite what it used to be.

If you do, DO NOT RETURN or be aware of them doing their best to humiliate you. Update: I went back today after feeling as if I had done something wrong for feeling upset two weeks ago. I chalked it up to a misunderstanding. I went in and asked for an acrylic fill, gel polish change, asked for Ryan as usual. I was told to come back an hour later. After an hour, I returned and was told to wait in the lobby for my appointment. Only to be told there wasn't anyone to do my nails. When I asked why they had no availability with any technicians but they were taking walk-ins I was told there was no one to do MY nails. It felt like a humiliation ritual. 0/45, do not recommend. Ryan the nail tech is great! However, when asked to wash my hands, I went to return to Ryan's station only to find him starting another appointment and all my belongings moved by the receptionist. I've been loyal to Ryan since I started with him and I was shocked with the treatment I received. I have over looked little mistake like nail shaping and wrong color application. I cannot overlook blatant disrespect.

Also, they were running a special you get free gel polish... but if you wanted the cat eye it was an extra $10!! Jennifer came over and got the water and the jelly stuff started for us to put our feet in soak... then they started to take off our gel polish, clip and clean out toe nails... Tam had Jennifer but, I was told she didn't do pedicures by the dude that made our appointment.. I had Sue and Kenn had Emma. Kenn said he liked how she clipped and trimmed his toe nails and the hot towels. Tam said she liked how Jennifer clipped and polished her toes and made them look so nice. Sue was very gentle on my feet. I have very sensitive toes and feet due to neuropathy... so I was satisfied with how she did things... clipping the skink and cuticle around my big toes hurt a little.. The massages was great we really enjoyed them and who doesn't love paraffin wax it just makes your feet feel sooooooo wonderful... I also got a fresh gel coat on my nails which was another $10.. I was very satisfied with the service and we will be back.

No reservations needed, walk-ins welcome! A gut named Harry took care of my wife's feet and a wonderful young lady named Courtney took on the challenge of my feet. The chairs have built-in massage, so that was awesome. Dipped my feet in the luxurious warm, great smelling water. Okay, I honestly don't know all the steps we went through, but there was foot and leg massaging, warm paraffin wax, some cheese-gratering, smoothing, sugar scrubbing and more. Courtney was so pleasant and funny and she has very strong hands. She made me so comfortable with the whole process. I did find out that my feet are surprisingly ticklish, but even that was fun(ny). I succumbed to peer pressure from my wife and other customers and even allowed my nails to be painted a very macho shade of jet black. All-in-all, this was a super fun and relaxing way to spend some time getting self-care. I highly recommend Fancy Nails Spa!

The gel polish has bubbles throughout and is on my skin and cuticles and completely uneven and outside the lines. I have never had my nails look so poorly and I've been to a lot of different salons over the years. I came home and immediately tried to fix them to the best of my ability. The staff was friendly but the salon was a mess. The station I sat at was covered in dust and the protective shield up from Covid was covered in splatters and stains. The light for the gel polish was also filthy. They didn't put a towel down or any sort of wrist rest and I left covered in nail dust. For $70, I would highly recommend finding another spot to go. I try not to leave negative reviews but I felt like I had to warn other people who rely on Yelp reviews when deciding to visit a new salon.
