In my case, they had me send them the actual physical title to get the loan, not an electronic copy. Then, when I went to pay off the balance of the loan they told me I would be sent a "release of lien" document that I take to my DMV, and pay 25 dollars to get a new title. When i asked what happened to my original physical title, they kept telling me it was submitted electronically. My point is, don't expect to get tour old title back. I understand records are kept electronically in the 21st Century, but they basically refused to answer when I asked what happend to my orginal title. Plus, when I went to pay it off, they made it extremely difficult and had three different amounts I needed to pay off. When I told the customer service agent they had 2.4 out of 5 and YELP he told me he had no idea what their ratings were and that he really didnt care. When someone tells you who they are, believe them. Stay away from Loan Mart Title Loans folks.
