This little restaurant caters almost exclusively to Italian clientele. Seafood is purchased daily, and the menu is nonexistent. Basically, you have two choices. You can have a crudo followed by a pasta with one of the many catch of the day followed by a secondi of another catch of the day.... OR, the better way to experience what the restaurant is known for is to ask for the "degustation" which is a series of crudo and cooked fish and shellfish that were probably still wiggling around in the kitchen before they hit your plate. The flavors are fabulous. One of my favorites was scampi crudo and a plate full of tiny (whole) deepfried fish. Do not expect a salad. There will be plenty of verdure (vegetables) to accompany the endless fish dishes. There were three of us dining. We must have had 10 courses, 2 bottles of Sicilian wine ($30 euros each) and the entire bill was $150 euros.... meaning we each ate for $30 euros each.... RIDICULOUS since you wouldn't be able to get a fraction of this in the US for the US equivalent. It would be at least $200 a person in the US including wine and we paid that for three people. Shhh... don't tell anyone. And don't tell anyone about the beautiful outdoor patio.
Service impeccable. The maitre d'/manager delightful (and so cute/sexy!). Everything, even the bread, was amazing.
They have an additional location in the nearby town of Vittoria (about 10 mins away). read more
