I ordered croquettes made with ground farro, lightly fried and crispy on the outside with a creamy center. They also had excellent bruschetta and an antipasti plate that included wild boar sausage - tender and flavorful. For my entree, I had tortellini topped with a white sauce and a creamy cheese on the inside. I also ordered a side of cauliflower. I love cauliflower and order it in any restaurant that offers it. It was roasted with tiny bits of spicy chili pepper. My only teeny tiny complaint was that while I love olive oil, it had a bit too much on it for my taste. Their house wine was sublime - very smooth, crisp and refreshing. We had a wonderful server, and the chef came out before we left to ensure we enjoyed our meal. Such a nice lunch!

Yes, there is no hurry -- but that's true anywhere in Italy, especially in the picturesque town of CdP. And the specials are great -- I ate the farrow salad whenever it was available, and kids devoured the special fries like they were going out of town. A simple spaghetti cooked specially by the owners for us using pomodoro sauce and some "Indian spices" they borrowed from us, is the best spaghetti I have ever eaten.... And late night sitting under the cozy awning, sipping wine while shameless hogging the wifi / watching the Olympics, will be one of my abiding memories of one of the most pleasant vacations I've had...

This is a family run restaurant with three generations all working together. They were warm charming and very helpful with recommendations. When I asked about one of the dishes the grandson proudly told me that it is his grandmothers favorite and a signature dish of theirs. I really want to go back tonight but am not here for long and feel the need to try other places and on the other hand I know how much I like Masolino so why risk not doing what I know I love ?

The host does speak English and his wife cooks. The second visit we had a chou paste shell with chicken liver pate, stewed onion, and candied apple. We had duck confit and the boar filet for mains. I would not miss the boar filet. It is real boar with a medieval sauce. The cannoli fordessert was also great. If we were here longer, I would try everything on the menu.
