Ordered Seared Tuna for an Appetizer. There was also a complementary Salmon Tartare. Salmon Tartare - 5/5 - excellent! No complaints here. Seared Tuna - 4/5 - very good! The soy sauce is a bit salty, so I recommend going light on dabbing it. Crispy Veal Sweetbreads - 4.5/5 - delicious! Soft and tender, presented delightfully on a bed of spinach Le Chocolat-Caramel de La Réserve - 5/5 - absolute perfection! It's hard to recall a more tasty chocolate dessert. The little chocolate biscuits are delicious and the overall dessert is tasty without being overwhelmingly sweet. Others ====== Sparkling water - 5/5 - "BADOIT" - no complaints from me here! Complementary Bread - 4/5 - not warmed up and no butter, but I was pleasantly surprised how eatable it is, as is Mashed Potato - 4/5 - nice free side w/the veal sweetbread. What will make you come back is the quality of the food. The dish of the day for lunch is typically between 10 and 14 euros and is really well balanced with a source of protein, a starch and vegetables and it tastes great. I had awesome lamb chops one day, tandoori chicken another day.... If the dish of the day is not to your liking, no worries, there are plenty of other choices including really good salads, a soup bar and traditional dishes for the area.

A friend and I went there for lunch while we were skiing in Avoriaz as a major storm was mounting. The upper part of the station was being closed and we spend our morning skiing in a blizzard with very little visibility. The entry into the warmth and coziness of the restaurant was very welcome. Despite being right during the rush hour, we were seated right away and given the cards. We went with a pizza and a pasta - given that we were already familiar with local platters and wanted to keep skiing later that day, so not overload ourselves with cheese and got enough food for our money. A bit of coffee with a selection of desserts (all of which were delicious) finished the meal nicely. We also had a nice chat with a group sitting at the next table; which goes to say that this location is a great spot to come together, enjoy food and meet other people. Would definitely recommend!

Total waste of time!…read more Busy place, looks nice inside, but staff doesn't pay attention and absolutely uninformative. We've been waiting for our food for about an hour before we learned that it's not even being prepared due to electricity shut down! Waiters don't pay attention so we had to raise our hand every time or go find them ourselves. As a result, we had ten beers, spent 100+€ and walked out hungry!

Why so you ask? ....so having booked a tour taking me from Geneva to the Chamonix valley there was an option to have a the lunch included for an extra 20 euros which made sense being that what we ended up having would have cost around 50 euros. I wish i wrote these reviews sooner so i could explain the starter and desert but all i can say is that they were great. The mains is the dish i do remember, there were two choices and i went for the grilled salmon and it had to be possibly the best grilled salmon i have ever had in my life. Like so delicious i even took a bite out of my friends when she was not looking. The service was superb with it not being so busy we had an attentive waiter at all times. Location is at the foot of the mountains, and right in Chamonix town but maybe a bit out of the way now i am back in England :(
