The people who work here are very sweet and kind and its a nice change of atmosphere from the hustle and bustle of the center of Paris. Its a lot more laid back, people let their guard down and the crowd is full of all kinds of people, especially music lovers. The music here is so so good!! When he went back inside we spent a few minutes in the doorway sheltering from the rain while we looked on our phones for somewhere else to go. My guitarist friend took me here and I got to watch his pals absolutely rip it in the back room. In the back of a packed room with cheering patrons, they played everything from Gypsy Jazz to contemporary hits and more. The flair, the comradery, the skill, the improvisations, the confidence (I could go on) is honestly the best I've ever seen up-close and personal. And the location is so off the beaten path path yet in the heart of the Latin Quarter, so while it's lively, you might just find yourself the only tourist in sight, which I find quite nice.
