Our neighbor was getting their driveway seal coated so I got the number and called to get an estimate done on my house and our rental. They were very fast with calling us back and getting us our estimate. The job they did on our driveway was alright, but our rental driveway needed to be redone. It was a rushed job, even our renters said they watched and it was a very hurried job. So we called the next day to let owner know we would like it redone because parts of the driveway were not covered. The owner was some what cold in his response and basically just said Ya that happens. They were fast in coming out the next day though and correcting their work. We received our bill in the mail and since I did not see anywhere to write in a cc # I went online to check. I did not see anywhere to pay the bill online either, so I called. I explained to the owner I was looking to pay my bill and couldn't find out where to do it, and there were no instructions anywhere. He said they only accepted check. I was a bit surprised in the day and age a company only accepted check, and told him it was weird to not have been told this and no where on his site does it mentioned that. In a very cold tone he responded that he only tells people if they ask, and I didn't so he doesn't feel he has to tell anyone his payment restrictions. Then he tells me in a monotone and slightly sarcastic way, sorry you didn't know. I agree, you do not have to tell anyone anything, but good customer service is letting people know up front all the details . It could be verbal, in writing on the contract or on your website. There is also a correct way to talk to people who are being polite and just asking questions. How you perform a job is one thing, but polite customer service goes a long way. How you speak to people and treat them will make sure you get repeat business. I felt the owner was very rude and the job was just alright and will not be using this business in the future. If that means I have to pay a little more for polite service, then that is what I will do.

I called the office to advise of this and to see what is suggested to be done. I hadn't heard anything back after a couple days and called again. The woman that answered the phone advised it has been looked at and notes in the computer. I asked that someone please call me back and now a week later no word. This is unacceptable business practice and now I'm done.
