Don't be intimidated by the lack of English on the menu - the Chef's aunt was married to an American GI in World War II and her sister lives in Tampa. This place is a find and will most certainly be the highlight of any day trip to Bandol, France. For fun I ordered off the 39 euro prix fixe menu and my wife ordered of the 29 euro prix fixe menu, but a la carte is always available. Our meal started with a glass of red wine local to the Bandol area, a true delight to those who are discriminating vinophiles like me. Next they brought out a starter that was a seafood pate. My wife's first courses was scallops cooked to perfection in a leek sauce with puff pastries on the side, and mine was an incredible fresh salad with small tasty Mediterranean fish on the side. Maine courses were fish - my wife's a whole broiled fish and mine a dorade fillet. We finished of the meal with the most memorable creme brulee and molten chocolate cake with pistachio ice cream.
