Our last two times here we got the table in front of the fireplace given we were here in November and December respectively, its the perfect location! We started with an amuse of prosciutto and fried bread - the perfect amount to whet your appetite. On the advice of the sommelier, we chose a 2013 Bruno Giacosa Barolo which was fabulous. The wine list features wine from the immediate area only - Monforte and Serralunga which is really a nice touch. What grows together, goes together. Our antipasti were the baked onion (a staple of piemontese cooking) and well as another staple - carne cruda with white truffle of course! My husband had a primi... a trio of pastas. gnocchi, tajarin, and plin - all, of course, with white truffles. Absolutely amazing! For secondi, my husband had the stinco, and I had the veal tagliata with porcini mushrooms. Of course we got the bonet for dessert - another quintessential Piemontese dish. The entire experience here is so amazing, you cannot skip it when here. If you are going to Langhe, make a reservation here!

Whether you're here for a curated tasting, a private event, or a casual glass of wine, the experience feels intentional--never rushed, never routine. The wine selection leans smart and local, with knowledgeable staff ready to guide without overwhelming. Small plates are fresh, creative, and just the right amount of indulgent. The vibe? Effortlessly chic, yet comfortably relaxed. Moda is where tradition gets dressed up for a night out--and knows how to enjoy it.

Like other ristorante in the area we have visited, you can count on top notch service, beautifully presented, hand-made food and an extensive list of local wines at astonishingly reasonable prices. We have learned to share courses in order to avoid getting too much food (even though portion sizes here were "normal" and not the typical over sized ones of USA). We started with a fresh tomato baked with burratta cheese inside followed by a beautiful sage and ricotta filled pasta then a filet of breaded veal that was cooked perfectly. To finish, we chose a chocolate hazelnut dessert and also enjoyed a nice Barbera wine with the meal. Total was only 92€. Caution: it is a MUST to book ahead-they only have about 15 tables on the patio and turned away many diners trying to walk-in.

As with most places in the Langhe, we found the wine list to be extensive and amazing. The food and the service are top notch. The carne cruda came with fresh porcini mushrooms, the pastas were all fresh made and the stinco? What can I say, this was the first time we've had it and we loved it! We liked the restaurant so much we came back another day for lunch and sat outside which was beautiful. Definitely recommend eating here

My wife had a very generous portion of pork belly that was tender and delicious with sweet-and-sour sauce. Our second course was an amazing braised veal that was so tender that it fell apart and was wonderfully delicious and a mushroom lasagna that was completely made from scratch and was probably the best lasagna I have ever tasted even though I just had a bite. We had a Massolino 2011 Margheria barolo that just knocked our socks off and also helped with our high approval of this place. While it is not necessary to speak Italian to enjoy the osteria, it is helpful if you can at least say and understand a few words. The waiter first brought us a menu entirely in Italian which was replaced with an English menu after we spent about 30 minutes puzzling out the Italian.

The tour was both informative and enjoyable, offering a great insight into the region's unique grape-growing methods and winemaking traditions. We took the English-language tour, which was well-presented and easy to follow. After the tour, we enjoyed a wine tasting that was not only educational but also absolutely delicious. Every pour was a treat, and we ended up shipping several bottles home to enjoy later. If you're a wine lover, this spot is a must-visit. The setting, the knowledge shared, and of course, the wine, all make for a memorable experience.

They have a nice gift shop inside and we were buying things even before our tour. Lol. The tour started at the front entrance. We were given a brief history on the family. Then we go down to their cellar where the big wine barrels are. They are massive and beautiful. The tour continued down there and their winemaking process and their rich history was shared. Tour ended back upstairs in their tasting room. We tried 4 of their wines. Our group had a great time, loved their Riserva, and shipped some wines back home.
