If this company quotes you and you prove that you ended up using someone else that you found on Yelp for your project I will Venmo or Zelle you $20! Call or text: 904-675-5734 I requested a quote for a 20ft flagpole to be installed at my home. I was told that as long as I paid for the materials that it would be $187 to complete. I also asked if they have installed flagpoles before and was told that they did. I booked them for a Tuesday 10am and bought all the materials. The guy shows up at my house and does not have tools as he told me his truck broke down. I give him a level and bucket for the concrete. He spends the first 45 minutes reading the directions on how to install the sleeve, he then proceeds to dig and pour the concrete. He tells me that he will be returning in a couple of hours to place the pole into the ground. Fast forward to 7pm that evening I get a call from the guy saying his girlfriends kids are being a pain so he can not come finish the job tonight but will be there at 7am the next morning. I get a text Wednesday morning at 8:15am stating he is going to do another job before coming to complete mine. I then get a text at 4pm saying he is headed my way, I asked how much cash i should go get and was told $262 (more than I was quoted). 5:10pm I get a text that he is 15 minutes away. 5:50pm I get a text that Route 16 is closed and then I never hear from the guy the rest of the night. I finally tell him that there is more than one way to get to my home and that I will finish it myself. Last evening I left a message for the owner and sent a text, the owner of this company could careless about the lack of professionalism of his company. He offers me a reduced hourly rate of $60/hr. He then goes on to tell me that he does not have anyone else available to finish the job and offers to send back the first guy. Why they think that would I want that guy coming back to my house is beyond me. I am then hounded again a couple of hours later about the outstanding invoice. I finally just paid the $120 via Zelle for nothing but a hole I could have dug in 30 minutes.

DONT TRUST THIS CARPENTER!!! The paint contractor I hired…read moretold me at the last minute that the repairs they were making to the wall were cosmetic only and really needed a carpenter to make the wall sturdy, they recommended Darren George - Darren's Exteriors Unlimited. Here's the Summary - he can't be trusted. Darren WAYYYYYY overcharged for the work, and he claims my door frame was cracked before he started working on the wall (what?). He provided a flat estimate which ended up being $189/hr, and his mark up on the materials was twice the cost of the material. I gave him the opportunity on 2 different occasions - once immediately after completing the job and once after he sent me the invoice - to be fair about his price and he chose not to. I trusted that his estimate was reasonable and he was honest about the material costs. That turned out to be a BIG MISTAKE. He could have easily adjusted his estimate lower after opening the wall and seeing it was a quick fix but he chose not to, he didn't even reduce the invoice when I told him I knew how much the material actually cost and it was not anywhere near what he told me it did - NO INTEGRITY HERE. Here's the Details - Darren suggested adding a door closer but said commercial door closers were roughly $300. He called me a little later with "great news" he found a door closer for only $100!!! He gave me an estimate of $850 to fix the wall and install the closer plus $100 for the closer. He said it was a 2 man job. That seemed a little high for 2 guys all day (and not sure why I was paying for two), but I needed it done so the paint contractor could finish so I went with it. I found out much later that the closer retails at Home Depot for $34.97 !!! I get a mark up but seriously - Merry Christmas, the markup was twice the price of the closer! I would have been happy to pick it up and have it on site, but then couldn't over charge me as much. He came with a helper. not sure why. From arrival to departure it was 4.5 hours. They cut open 2 patches in the walls (no, they don't repair them) and put 6 screws into the door and threshold and installed the residential quality (I needed better, but wasn't given any choice or opportunity to weigh in) door closer. After he was done, I asked what he thought was a fair price for the job given the limited amount of work needed to secure the door and wall. He stuck to his price. $850 + $100 for the door closer. When it came time to pay, I asked for the details on the door closer, the warranty, etc. He told me he threw out all the papers and it only had a 90 day warranty. All he would tell me was the manufacturer - Universal Door Closer. I asked for the model number and receipt which is when he said he wouldn't give me anything else until I paid him. That sounded like maybe he wasn't being fair or upfront about his pricing. It didn't take much to look it up on line which is where I saw that it does have a LIFETIME WARRANTY, and a 180 day return policy. Of course he can't give me the receipt now because he has told me it was $100. I need the receipt in case I need to make a warranty claim, or return it because it is not strong enough. So I told him I was aware it sells for $34.97 at Home Depot. Which is when I asked again what he thought he was charging a fair price. That was when he said well you agreed to the price. I heard the word "sucker" after that in my head. I told him that is because I trusted his estimate and believed him - that won't happen again. I informed him that I was sending him the money through Zelle while we were texting and that I just wanted to give him one last chance before I sent his payment and sent out my reviews. Some people have no sense of decency.
