Worst experience ever. This was my first time getting a manicure and pedicure, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. The person who did my manicure was very rough and kept rubbing/buffing my skin. There was no proper massage at all. The pedicure was equally disappointing--there was no proper massage and no proper scrubbing or removal of dead skin from my feet. Overall, the service was extremely poor and definitely not worth the money. To make matters worse, at the end, the manager asked me for a tip. When I chose not to tip because I was unhappy with the service, she became verbally abusive and started using inappropriate and disrespectful language toward me. Horrible horrible horrible, please don't go here if you want your nails to get ripped off and bleed. I went today to get my gel x nails off after having them for around two weeks, the moment i got there the staff were rude because I didn't get my nails done there. My nail technician was some old lady who was so aggressive and couldn't care less if she hurt me at all. She immediately started just ripping my gel x nails off without acetone and only started using it when my nails weren't coming off. She filed my nail so much it kept bleeding. She was so aggressive she ended up ripping three nails and tried gluing one back and insisted that would "help", the other two nails she broke were completely bleeding, swollen and puffy. My nail was bleeding so much it made a mess and she just ignored it. Later when me and my sister went back to complain they were barely talking on English and convincing us it was all my fault saying "that's how it is when you get acrylics" mind you I got Gel x nails, this woman doesn't even know what type of nails she was dealing with. After complaining the lady looked at my nails again and kept buffing them and filing it which caused them to get even more puffy and swollen and currently hurt so much. Overall, such a horrible experience, the staff were so rude and couldn't care less if anything happened to you. I asked for a set of long bio gel acrylic nails with a design (two colours - black and white) and was told the price was going to be $70 and the appointment was going to be 1hr long. We started at about 1:40 and finished at 3:20. Noticing the amount of time the nails were taking I had to make a decision to get a solid colour as I had other places to be and being 2hr at a nail appointment for a solid colour set is outrageous. I aaked for green and they showed me a lovely emerald green which turned into turquoise after the UV cure. I was still charged $70 for the length of the acrylics. Extremely overpriced! If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in to just get a shellac pedicure thinking it was a pretty straightforward service that isn't easy to mess up. Nail prep started out ok until she started cutting my cuticles and filing my nails. The woman doing my nails basically cut all the skin off around my nails until it was raw and bleeding and filed the nails I had been growing out down even though I begged her not to multiple times. Once she started painting I knew it would be a mess and it was. The pedicure basically looked like it was done by a child. I then went back the next day asking to get it fixed by someone else and the woman who had done my nails the day before basically just sat next to me and watched the entire time. The manager took pictures of my toes and started yelling at the nail tech who did my nails in front of the entire salon. They also had that woman remove the original shellac and it was obvious she was mad because she kept dragging the drill across my already raw skin. The woman who tried fixing my nails basically did what she could to c the mess but it was beyond repair. I honestly was just trying to stay positive until she said my nails were small. That's when I told her they weren't when I came in. Her attempt was better than the first woman's but it's obvious neither one of them knew what they were doing. It seems like no one who works there actually knows how to do nails. Don't get your nails done here! I'm fully convinced this place is only still in business because of the poor older people who don't know any better. I'm genuinely embarrassed that I paid money for this. Absolutely the worst nail salon I have ever been to!! The polish was thick and the application was like a 7 year old painting my nails. I know because that's how I painted my nails at that age! Had to finally tell her to stop. When I complained to the manager, she pretended not to hear me and started talking to one of the workers. As I looked around, I noticed how filthy the salon was. I had such a bad experience with the customer service in this place. You cannot even voice out what you need to get fixed without them speaking in their language to another employee to i guess complain about you. They keep insisting to wait for the service to be done but when it was done u couldnt tell them what u are not happy about because they dont want to fix it. I have my regular salon that i go to for over a decade but i was closed by here at rockwood mall so I decided to try and got a bio gell refill in this salon. And to my surprise the place was so dirty. They used WET towel that had hair in them and nail polishes and they expect u to put your hand on that why they do your nails?! With that being said, what they used for my nail wasnt bio gel-- my nails was in sooo much pain when it was inside the uv light. And she said its normal? i have been doing bio gel for many years to know the difference! I got my nails done on sunday may 21st. I already saw bubbles same day, bad shellac quality (easily to get scratched and my nails have broken off I ended up getting my nails done all over again! Absolutely Terrible. The girl had the electric nail file maxed yet no control of it whatsoever. Burnt and Cut into my skin and nailbed (on sides especially) numerous times. She brushed acrylic unevenly onto both my nailbed and skin which once it dried, it crusted up. The acrylic covered the valley between my skin and nails so when it was time to sand, she literally burned and cut into my finger as she could no longer make out where the skin/nails start/end She couldnt lay the acrylic evenly to save her life so much so that was impossible to even out with the file brush. Thumbs were also not shaped like rest. I wouldnt let her polish them. It was gruesome. Shes tiny with curly-ish hair and thick bangs and does not speak english. Not sure what her name is but if you get her, youre done! I just made an appointment at my regular salon to fix this which will be painful after all the cuts and nicks that hurt if anything touches it. read more

I'd leave 0 stars if I could. they had me soaking my feet for over 30 minutes before they started my manicure. by the time they got to my feet, I was wrinkled like raisins. they got polish all over my cuticles (fingers AND toes) then huffed and puffed when i asked them to fix it. as I waited for my polish to dry later on, I noticed the clean up girl - she rinsed the implements, rubbed a soapy brush over some of them...and that's it. NOTHING GOT SANITIZED. you'd think after 2 years of a worldwide pandemic they would have learned a thing or two about basic sanitation. Both mine, and my moms piercings got infected. My moms was not too serious, but she had to take it out. Mine, on the other hand, required me to go to the ER and get it surgically removed. I mentioned to the lady working there that I have a childhood history of getting my piercings infected. She completely ignored what I said, which I thought maybe she took into consideration, however soon realized that she did not. She did not warn me that the jewelry they use to pierce is not gold, until I asked. I thought she must have warned me if she knew I would also get infected with this one, but nothing at all came out of her. She refused to allow me to video tape her, which now I realize is because she knows she can get shut down had she allowed me to. I went in for a manicure, and left when the manicurist painfully took off a large chunk of my skin around my nail with the metal cuticle cutters that left me bleeding for the next hour. Also, when she brought the tools out, they were just loose, and not in packaging. I asked if they had been sterilized, and I was told that they were. She then proceeded to sloppily wipe them off with a cotton ball and alcohol after the manicurist beside her quickly said something to her in Thai. She told me she was just "making sure". The shop was not clean. The bowl that the water was in for my hands was stained and dirty. The entire experience was a nightmare, and now I'm concerned about infection--or worse. Jumping from my left cheek to right one. And not doing a good job, and complaining that I have a hairy face. OK if I did not why on earth would need a threading?!?!!!! I ended up going to drug store, buying wax and waxed my face . She did not do anything basically for me except charging me $25. When first time she finished her job, I made her to come back and thread my upper lip and cheeks better;however, she was the worst. I went there for a full set nails that was supposed to cost $25. I was asked if I wanted shellac nail polish and I said no. Why is it that upon check out, I am told the cost is $45 with taxes. I asked why so much only to be told that the lady put shellac polish on my nails. 1. I said that I did not want shellac polish 2. Since the lady I spoke with wasn't the same lady who did my nails, you would think they would ask the question. This is a $20 difference which I was not intending to spend. I made an appointment to have a mani pedi as I and coming from out of town and had to arrange child care for my son. When I walked in two employees were just starting pedicures on two women. They told me to pick a color which I did and then said nothing. After waiting 20 minutes I asked how long it was going to be and was told 5 minutes. Then she started a manicure. Checked out this place bc it's close to home and my usual spot Lake Pearl Nails was sold and the new management has had bad reviews. I needed to a pedi and to remove the shellac from my toes. Girl used the drill to completely remove the shellac instead of soaking off with acetone. She did a shoddy job and scratched my nail beds. Needless to say the polish application went on and dried sloppy. Also had the nails on my left foot filed on a 45 degree angle while the right foot was fine. Such lack of care is disgusting to me. I would never go back. Ever. Also had the typical chatter in Vietnamese that we all love. read more

I went in that place not once but 2 times already and had a negative experience the 1st time, although not safety related like this 2nd time. I would like to add that I'm a Diabetic Type II on Insulin and with a past history of infections. They have a sign that asks the customers to inform them if they are Diabetic, which I always do. The 1st time I went in for a pedicure with my 19 yr old and the place wasn't that busy. Many empty chairs. My daughter wanted to sit beside me while the lady worked on my feet. She refused to let her sit beside me and demanded that she go back to the waiting area. My daughter and I didn't make a big fuss about it but we saw a young woman coming in with a young child (8-10 yrs old) and that child sat beside her Mom the whole time without ever being removed from that chair. This 2nd time around I went in with my other daughter, 14 yrs old who also wanted to sit beside me and again, she was told to go sit in the waiting area. Prior to that, I did notice a man sitting with his wife who was getting her nails done. At no time was he asked to sit in the waiting area. He left willingly eventually. Another woman a little short while walked in with a younger kid who also sat beside her Mom without ever being asked to sit in the waiting area where my daughter was forced to sit, alone. When I saw that, I confronted the woman who was doing my pedicure and asked her why she was allowing some ppl to sit with their family members but my kid wasn't allowed. She became passive/aggressive towards me. I also noticed that the gratter they use was filled with old skin from other clients when she guaranteed me right at the beginning that all their instruments were cleaned and sterilized. When I confronted her with that argument, she became silent but realised that her silent meant she was admitting guilt. In any case, let me tell you that I will never go back to that place and ladies and gentlemen, if you are Diabetic or you have kids, don't go there. I paid her $20 from the initial price of $25 since I left without the nail polish being applied. That place lacks professionalism, is discriminatory towards some kids and their communication skills are quite undesirable plus it is really unsafe for individuals who have chronic medical conditions and are prone to infections. The colour selections were VERY limited, very few colours (but they had many duplicates.. Of the same colour) The lady was rough (my nails were bleeding) Few hours later the nails chips (surprising because gel nails last longer) I got home and I was upset about the chipping, my nails were in pain, I could not do anything without feeling a stab/pinch feeling in between the nails. The nails look kind of nice, but the ladies were not. I was about to leave after one of them said "very nice nails" as I sat down and they both bursted out laughing. My nails weren't nice that's why I'm at the nail salon. Tried this nail salon for the first time and the experience was... interesting. This is a long review but worth the read if you're thinking of going to this place. As I was looking at the prices, they were very expensive so I was hesitant. The salon was not busy but I figured it was because it was a weekday. The worker at the salon convinced me to get UV gel nails with shellac for $40 instead of $60. Hearing this price, I agreed. So I sat down and the lady started prepping my nails, and one of their previous clients came in and nicely explained to them that all of her shellac had fallen off within a week. She didn't blame any of the workers, she just simply asked for her nails to be fixed. After a long time of the workers talking amongst themselves and refusing to fix her nails, they finally came up with an agreement to fix only 3 of her nails. After witnessing this entire thing, naturally I didn't want to have my nails done at this place and risk wasting my money. I kindly turned to the lady doing my nails and asked if I can just cancel the service. I didn't think it was a big deal because she had only buffed my nails so far. She said it was too late to cancel, and that she will do an amazing job. So already feeling awkward, I let her finish my nails. When she was shaping my nails, I asked for an almond shape. She shaped them very poorly and again I kindly requested a different shape to feel better about the nails. She rolled her eyes at me and said that I'm "being too picky". After she reshaped them, I still wasn't satisfied with the nail shape and when I told her she said that was the only thing she could do. So she ended up finishing the manicure, and upon paying they told me I had to tip. I left very unsatisfied. After thinking that it couldn't get any worse, my shellac started to peel off as well after 3-4 days! Living far from this location, I went on the following Friday and told them about what happened. They told me to pick a colour and have a seat, so I did. Every colour I chose, they apparently didn't have. So the same lady who did my nails the last time told me to choose another colour as she was putting the base coat on my nails. Therefore I was not able to hold the colours and choose one. The lady held up the colours for me and said, "hurry up I have customers waiting". I ended up choosing a very random colour that wasn't my first choice. Midway, she also told me that I would have to pay an additional $20 for a repaint. I refused, and she lowered it to $10. I then told her I would rather just have the nails off and a refund if that was the case. After all of this, she got mad and said "okay but next time you have to pay". She rushed my nails to the point where they were uneven and the lamp hardened the shellac onto my skin and cuticles.
