Leroy saved us thousands of dollars. We called him because previous service told us that our fireplace couldn't be repaired. It was going to cost $10,000 for a new one. We called L&S Services. Leroy said the problem was a valve....an expensive valve ($775), but that was a lot less to pay and the fireplace runs better than it has in several years. Leroy was efficient, skilled, clean and nice. What more could you ask for? read more

Leroy installed my gas fireplace, which I wanted instead of my previous woodburning fireplace that my home came with. The results are perfect - beautiful fireplace, lots of warmth, heat, cozy atmosphere for my living room. Even my dogs love to go relax by the fireplace. Leroy is very professional, knowledgable, experienced, reliable, he has great communication, he stands behind his work. I feel confident having this experienced individual handle my fireplace. He puts safety first. As I said, the fireplace looks incredible and really warms up my home. He is kind and friendly, even my dogs liked him a lot! Very happy customer here, highly recommend without reservations! He is trustworthy and well priced too. Responsive, answers all my questions. Can't say enough good things. read more

Great service. Fast, friendly, respectful, and professional. I bought my home in 2018, built in 2010-2011. The previous owner didn't exactly care for the place properly. The fireplace went out this year, so I called around. It was tough to find someone, but luckily I finally found L&R Services. Cleaned the glass, cleaned internally, checked the air/gas/line, and unclogged the pilot light. It was never cleaned by the previous owner. Now it looks brand new. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I am extremely happy with L&R Services and I would recommend them to everyone. First, Leroy answered immediately when I called. I had a small gas leak and he fit me in his busy schedule to help. He was extremely considerate of our house and was very thorough. I then made another appointment to have him come back to clean and fix our fireplaces. Again, he was super helpful and considerate of our home, and I couldn't be more pleased with the work. Leroy takes pride in his work and it shows. He was very responsive, knowledge, and extremely professional. I couldn't ask for anything more in someone working on my home. I will definitely use again and I highly recommend L&R. read more

Leroy was very professional and did a wonderful job repairing my fireplace. He got it working in less than an hour. And provided guidance for better performance and how to turn on the pilot light if it goes out. read more

L & R Services - Let there be light! - Plumbing Near Me - Wheat Ridge, Colorado

My partner and I bought our first home a couple months ago and knew we wanted a gas dryer and range, but the house only had gas to the water heater and furnace, so we decided to extend it to the laundry and kitchen, overall about 50'. Leroy came highly recommended from our formal landlords but we did our due diligence and obtained estimates from a number of other businesses as well. Leroy's estimate blew every one of the others out of the water, so that and his reputation made going with L&R Services a no brainer. Leroy is a busy man so had to book him far in advance but the wait was worth it. He showed up right on time and had the job done in a couple hours, much faster than I anticipated. Overall extremely happy with the project, will certainly be using L&R Services for future home projects read more

Wonderful service and super responsive! They fit me into the schedule even though it was a busy time and helped with two fireplaces.

Leroy was absolutely amazing! He installed a gas insert into an existing gas fireplace today. He was on time, very polite, extremely knowledgeable taking time to explain how to use the unit thoroughly. We are extremely impressed with the quality of his work! We highly recommend his service! read more

Leroy Martinez of L & R Services is so wonderful!!! After reading reviews online for a long while to find a reputable and reasonably priced plumbing specialist, I came across L & R Services. My wife and I recently moved into our new home. Before we moved in, but had the house, we would come by every day or two to check on things. Unfortunately, we didn't think to open the cabinets during our checks until a few days before move-in. When I opened up the cabinet under the sink, water had been leaking from the cold water pipe and soaked into the whole back board of the cabinet. I could tell where the leak was coming from and was even pretty sure I knew what needed to happen to fix it, but I didn't have the right tools and I was afraid I'd make things worse if I got involved with no experience in plumbing. When I called, Mr. Martinez was booked until the following week. Hoping that the reviews were right, I decided to wait for him to come out in a week, despite not being able to use the dishwasher, kitchen sink, or water from the fridge, because I'd rather have someone known for doing a great job than call one of the corporate chains. It was easy to talk to Mr. Martinez on the phone. He was patient with me while I tried to describe the problem without any knowledge of the names for parts ("It's the three-part thing that's leaking from the bottom part that connects to the gasket-thing that connects it to the water pipe"). He didn't ask for it, but I sent Mr. Martinez a photo (via text) of the pipe having trouble and its surrounding area. Mr. Martinez actually ended up purchasing the part we needed for the repair ahead of time, just from looking at the photo, and was able to take care of everything in under 30 minutes. He was a little early to the appointment and sent me notice when he was on his way which I really appreciated. He stayed, despite his busy schedule, so that I could ensure the water wasn't leaking when I used other appliances connected to that cold water line. Mr. Martinez even checked under the dishwasher, behind the foot board, to ensure there wasn't any water building up or any leaks. I would have never even thought to look or ask to look! He was so helpful, so friendly, so knowledgeable. I always get nervous letting strangers into my home, even when it's for a repair, but the moment he showed up and introduced himself, I felt completely comfortable with him. I'm out in Aurora and L & R Services is located in Wheat Ridge. The majority of the cost was because of the distance. Mr. Martinez doesn't mark up his prices on parts and actually showed me his receipt so I could see he didn't try to overcharge me. I've never had someone be so apologetic for their service charge! It wasn't cheap, but again this is because of the distance and the charge was fair for how far he had to go. Even then, it was completely worth it to spend extra so that Mr. Martinez, an expert in his field and a very professional, friendly, and kind man overall, could fix the sink for me. I would highly recommend Mr. Martinez and L & R services for anyone who needs someone who can do plumbing and gas fireplaces (among a host of other services) and would like to work with an individual who charges fair prices, is incredibly knowledgeable, and is a pleasure to work with. Thanks again Mr. Martinez! read more

Called twice spoke to owner and never received call back unreliable. If you are too busy, state that and not waste customers time

Leroy is the full package- an ethical, friendly, skilled craftsman. He has years of experience and is very thorough in his work. He will stay until the job is done right. Our house had a lot of patch-work which led to some surprises (and extra work) along the way. He's patient and I trust that he fixed things properly! He is happy to explain things along the way and will give you honest advice on how to fix things definitively. He is also great at anticipating things that may start to wear out in the years to come. His price is very fair for his great, honest service. He's our guy for years to come. Thanks, Leroy! I'd also like to add that he is a wiz with plumbing issues. I initially called him for our fireplace and afterwards casually mentioned a general plumbing issue. Turns out he has the highest level of plumbing training as well! He gladly took a peek and was able to quickly troubleshoot and repair while he was on site! read more

My experience is was very helpful! The response was timely. The service was excellent and the price was fair. These are good people!

I can't speak to their service in person, because after calling for a quote, the person who answered the phone came across as patronizing, impatient, and kind of rude. I found another place that quoted me a price that was $5 more, but they were polite and friendly. I'll pay 5 extra bucks to not feel like I'm being treated like a moron. read more

Leroy was on time, and fixed the fireplace without having to replace parts. It just needed to be cleaned. Since he is also a plumber, i called on him to replace 3 bathroom faucets. Fast, efficient and friendly. Thank you for helping us get the job done! I really appreciate your honesty. Thank you! read more

Leroy was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and tidy. But above all he was very reasonable and actually diagnosed and repaired our gas fireplace issue after another company had told us we should just replace it for $1200. So glad we found him! read more

We had an excellent experience with them. Mr Martinez is a Master plumber, former Marine, and pleasant and professional. The work was done well, on schedule, and for the estimated price. He installed new gas piping through the house, and upgraded our old gas fireplace to meet code. I have recommended him to friends and neighbors. read more

Highly recommend L&R Services for any of your natural gas plumbing needs. I wanted a natural gas line ran around the side of my house to my fire pit, and Leroy was able to give me a basic quote over the phone and set up an appointment for installation a couple weeks later. That day he showed up on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. He got the job done with no problems - thanks Leroy! read more

We have nothing but excellent experiences with Leroy. He has installed and serviced several fireplaces in two homes. He is has a wealth of knowledge about gas appliances and is enormously helpful. Leroy installed a fireplace insert in my home recently, and I most highly recommend this business. He kept me informed about the timing, arrived with product and permit in hand, and charged a fee which was consistent with the original quote (including charging a 'permit' fee which was at actual permit cost). He handled the entire permit process, quickly scheduled both the initial and final inspection, made a priority of coming back to complete the 2nd part of the installation (between initial and final inspection), respected my property and kept the area clean, and was accessible throughout. When I contrasted the gas-line work he completed which was clean and caulked to the less-than-diligent electrical work done by the (other) electrical contractor, Leroy quickly offered to caulk/seal the electrical work as well. Once the final installation was complete, Leroy even took the time to show me how to use the remote control, and explained how to control the unit without the remote (by removing the face plate, etc). It's a pleasure working with a company that takes pride in their craft, and I will definitely have Leroy back to service the unit as needed. read more
