Asked to see the unopened manicure packet was given lecture and told that I could always bring my own. REALLY?

I was in the area and decided to get a pedicure. I didn't have an appointment but I was seated immediately. Staff wasn't very friendly but no one was rude either, direct might be the best way to describe tone of staff. I didn't check yelp reviews until I sat down and instantly became nervous because I know better lol. I chose the $45 pedicure option. I believe it was the deluxe. It came with callus removal, hot towels and massage. A little high in my opinion I have received similar pedicures in the 30-35 range. My nail tech coughed the entire time. Everyone wore a mask including her but she didn't attempt to cover her mouth or pause and turn. We all know masks only do so much. I started to get uncomfortable and asked if she was okay but of course she played it off. Im used to tools being opened out of a sanitized pack in front of me right before servicing me and I did not see that they had been sanitized or see the light sanitizing machine anywhere. It could have been in a back room though. Of course when I asked she said they were. I got gel nail polish so that brought it to a total of $65. I feel as though the nail tech could have done a better job of applying the polish. Like cleaning excess of the cuticles etc. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience, however, I have received better service elsewhere at a better price so I most likely won't be back. read more

Wow some of the reviews I've read are so harsh. I have had great experiences here. On the social distancing note, they could be doing better, but folks get the vaccine and wear a mask and you can always choose to leave an establishment if not comfortable with their covid measures. I have terrible luck with nail salons but this woman today gave me a really good gel fill and a gel pedi and I'm very happy. read more

I came to this shop last July 16, 2020, 9 months pregnant to get a pedi. I paid and left and thought things were all good. Finally able to get a break from new motherhood I stopped into today (4/10/21) for another pedicure and as I dried, I was approached by an associate asking me to pay $70 for my last service. She told me my CashApp didn't not go through and I needed to pay. I told her no and the manager stepped in and explained the same situation. I again made them aware that I know I paid for my pedicure, I've never just not paid for a service. So of course I showed proof after being accosted by an additional employee. The Cashapp showed completed and of course they were paid. The manger just then brushed it off saying me and this mystery person looked just alike, yes I was in 9 months ago fully pregnant and masked. I will never return here. First, social distancing is not a thing in this crowded space, you can't even safely walk through the pedi area without tripping over techs It was my first time here, after a 40 minutes wait with my feet in lukewarm water, I saw Yvonne. I tried tell her I wanted the basic pedicure - but I let her talk me into the deluxe. Worst mistake ever. None of my nails are even. My feet are rough and peeling. My nail polish doesn't match my finger polish, she put it on so thick it wasn't dry even after getting a fill and driving home. It was all over my toes, thick paint hanging off the tip of my toenail. Honestly, my husband has painted my toes and did a better job. In total I spent nearly 3 hours in the shop, $97 for a fill and pedi (I have medium short nails and requested they be shaped and the price of my fill went up to $45 - but my nails look nice at least). If I could add zero stars, I would. I am completely disappointed in this nail salon as I have been coming here since I was 15 years old. The guy sitting at booth 1, was completely rude when I notified him I didn't like my nails. I'm assuming his ego was hurt. while he was yelling at me in the middle of the salon, the skinny guy at the front with broken English just allowed him and was completely mute. when I asked why he would allow his employees to speak to a paying customer that way, he started laughing a snarkling at me. I'm in shock that this happened and completely disappointed. had they listened to my concerns, we could've come to a middle ground. Note that if you have any notes on their work, they'll disrespect you and your space. I'm assuming they think all black ppl are the same, and have no respect. Again, zero stars. I don't like to leave bad reviews. But this nail job cost $65 and it's bad. And the nail tech left in the middle of doing the nails and took forever to come back somebody else had to jump in to help me. But look at the pictures I don't even need to say how bad the job is. Do not go to this salon if you can help it! The Google reviews are mixed, but the Yelp reviews highlight almost exactly the experience I had today and I wish I'd seen them before I went. I went to get a pedicure and gel manicure earlier today. The salon is beautiful and I had high hopes for my experience. When the man sat down, he was kind. That was the end of the positive things I experienced there. I understand wanting to upsell because businesses need to make money, but he simply wouldn't take no for an answer. After I opted to stick with the basic pedicure, he was gruff and rough with my feet. He told me that he would put the lotion on after the polish, which I thought was odd. He later rubbed cuticle oil onto my calves only while I sat letting my nails dry at the front of the salon. The polish seemed to be running out, so I asked if I should choose another color. He said no and proceeded to thin it out with acetone, which made it run onto my cuticles and look very streaky. When I mentioned it to him, he tried to clean it up with his gloved hand and a brush dipped in acetone, which helped a little but didn't fix the issue of it being streaky. I cut my losses and opted not to get the gel manicure, so I am unable to speak to that. The pedicure was awful and I would not recommend this salon AT ALL for a pedicure service. read more

I went there, and the guy was so rude. I came for a Mani Pedi the guy he put me in the foot bath ran the water. The water started to be cold. I waited. 15 minutes in the foot bath. With my feet in the water no soap no nothing. Then he said come to the chair so I can do your nails. My feet is wet. Horrible customer service! The technicians are rude and dismissive. Initially attempted to charge me for a deluxe pedicure they did not do. Then i came back to have a nail fixed and the nail tech was extremely rude. I wanted to buy the polish to fix it myself since he claimed he couldn't fix it. Had me wait 20 mins before saying they cant sell the polish but will fix it now. I will never come here again! If good customer service is important to you, go elsewhere. read more

Stumbled into L & R nails about a week ago because I needed a pedicure, eyebrows, and lashes done all at the same time. I found all three services at L & R nails. I came in today to give them a try for a full set. I read a couple of reviews suggesting to go to Andy. I called ahead today (Sunday at around 3 PM. They told me Andy would be available to do my nails once I got there. I walked in and waited about 10 minutes for Andy to finish up his previous client and he immediately got to work on my nails. I always show nail techs pictures of what I want and ask them if they can copy the design. He was able to do that flawlessly. I tipped five dollars for the services which ended up being a total of $65 including that tip. This is a little more than what I'm used to paying for a full set, but for the convenience, and the quality I was satisfied. This place is right down the street from my house and I won't need to go anywhere else for my nail, pedicure, eyebrow, or lash services. I found my holy grail one stop shop! Overall, I had a pleasant experience & everyone was professional & friendly. I'm rating this establishment four stars simply because it's a no-frills salon. You don't get offered water, wine, or snacks. And they aren't the cheapest place around. But all things considered, I would definitely recommend trying them. read more

Do not attend this location. Their customer service is terrible and their skill level is less than subpar. They are money hungry and care nothing about their customers or the quality of their work. Today was my third and last visit to this salon. There are some excellent nail techs there. Pedicures are not that great. Cons: 1. everyone in the shop tries to upsell you. Several times. Very annoying. 2. either they do not understand English or they pretend they don't. I asked repeatedly for my pedicure to include buffing my nails. The tech yessed me to death; didn't do it. My polish is streaky, I showed him repeatedly, he didn't fix it. Another pedi client asked for more hot water repeatedly, never got it. 3. I had an appt across the street and when it was time for me to pay for my fill and pedi, the machine wasn't working. I've known Andy for decades and he threatened to call the cops when I asked if I could come back after my appt to pay as he refused CashApp. Praise God another customer was willing to wait and pay for me, so I Zelled her. I was still 10 minutes late for my next appt, and had to wait 20 minutes to be seen. 4. They tell you that they have availability, but make you wait for extended periods of time before servicing you. They have ZERO customer service skills, I had actually decided prior to my services being completed, that I would never return bc they are so rude. I'm a big tipper and my nail tech is good. I wish I could get my tip back!! Go elsewhere! There's a Black owned salon right around the corner. I went straight there after my 2nd appt and the owner is wonderful. This was NOT my favorite nail salon. The staff was rude to me. The lady who did my toes did a sloppy job. She spent more time fixing them than painting them. The shop wasn't that clean and the "massage chair" malfunctioned making a loud noise and started shaking pretty hard. I got my nails done too. I selected gel paint. The nail tech used one top coat on one hand and a complete different one on the other. I got in my car and realized the top coats made the color look different so it looked like one hand had pink and the other red. It wasn't even worth me going back to have it corrected. read more

Overpriced! I came here as soon they opened to get SNS. They served me fairly quickly. My issue with this place was the quality and price. They charged me $35 for sns and $5 to remove the sns I already had. I paid $40 for plain white sns that had a lot of residue on the sides and were thick and clunky looking. Overall, the quality did not match the price. My nails do not look natural. They look like I have tips on with acrylic. I will not be going back not even in the case of an emergency like today. read more

I've been in the area for some time, however I needed a long overdue pedicure (1st time since pandemic began). I did not feel like taking a drive across town, thus opted to stop by the neighborhood nail salon. Immediately upon walking into the salon, I was overtaken by the strong smell of salon chemicals...seems as if there is no exhaust to rid the salon of the smell (wondering how many regular clients will become gravely ill from this problem). Against my better judgement, I decided to endure the harsh smell. The massage chairs are the cheapest I've ever set in during a pedicure; in fact, even at it strongest level, I was not aware when the chair timed out. The salon was noisey, with the staff chattering laughing and being down right LOUD (not in a rude way to each other, just constant loud talking), to the point that it was disturbing and totally unpeaceful. There is a sign stating that if you want to complain, do it before hand not after, as you will not be refunded in such cases. Fair enough, however the loud noise and chemical smell means I will be going elsewhere...never again. read more

The quality and customer service of this nail salon has plummeted over the years! Today I tried to revisit the shop for a simple pedicure. The nail tech completely skipped a step and then tried to do a quick fix at the end once my feet were greased up. I told the worker i didn't like my nails one because he never asked and two because he's cashier and he's running back and fourth and on top of both of those he's not changing his gloves .Im trying to be professional at this point. She asked how can she help me, I told her what I needed, she looked around and said we close can you come back tomorrow? Even though the OPEN sign was lit and the website said y'all close at 9p.
