    I used this storage unit between moving from an apartment to a house. It was about 3 months. When I…read morewent to move out of the unit a good majority of the stuff I stored had mold on it. I tried to use the insurance I purchased and that did not cover anything. I spoke with a assistant manager since the manager was away. I was told to send pictures and an email recapping it and that someone would get back to me. That was months ago and I never heard anything. Had to throw some stuff out and had to get some professionally cleaned. So much for a climate controlled storage unit. I would not recommend this storage unit.

I…read moreupgraded to a larger unit and a few weeks later I went to grab some work gear from my unit right before work and I was locked out by cube smart... They added their own lock to my unit and I couldn't get any of my work stuff out. I went to the office and they were on break so I had to wait 45 mins for them to return . They said that I was locked out because I was 17 days late on my payment so I explained that I'm enrolled in auto pay and it must be a mistake so they looked it up and said that my credit card was declined and then they tried charging me 2 late fees to take their lock off but they obviously made a mistake when upgrading my unit so I complained and they ended up not charging me any late fees and removed the lock. My card is fine and I've never been declined before upgrading my unit. Besides that, I never Received a bill, letter, email, phone call, Ect. Letting me know that I owed a payment and I only found out because I was locked out. It was kind of embarrassing and definitely frustrating to show up and just be locked out without warning. I spoke to my In Laws because they have a unit there also and they said that they had the same exact problem after upgrading to a different unit. I understand that mistakes happen and I'm fine with that but I don't think that it was fair that they treated me like it was my fault and just carelessly locked me out of my unit and tried to charge late fees to get the lock off without even attempting to contact me or sending a bill first. How am I supposed to know that the bill wasn't automatically paid like it was supposed to?
