I contacted Culligan to purchase a reverse osmosis system and was initially connected with Ryan…read moreCampbell. He started off as a great salesperson and quickly set up an appointment for water testing the very next day. However, about an hour before the appointment, Ryan canceled due to car trouble. He promised to make it right with discounts, free installation (tank in the basement with a line to my kitchen sink), and a free fridge water line. I appreciated the gesture and asked him to send me options. Ryan recommended two systems (standard or smart) but when I asked what the actual difference was, he simply sent a website link. When I followed up with a direct question, he stopped responding. I tried following up the next day and no response. A week later, since I still had no response, I called Culligan again. This time I was assigned to Troy Campbell for a 9 AM appointment. That appointment came and went with no contact. After I called the company at 3 PM to ask what happened, Troy finally reached out minutes later, admitting he saw the appointment at 9:01 AM but never called me or gave any explanation. If Culligan can't even find sales reps willing to follow through when I'm actively trying to buy their product, it makes me question the rest of their service. I was ready to purchase, but their lack of professionalism completely turned me away. Overall: I would avoid this company and look elsewhere. Not worth the hassle.

We had a plumbed unit with hot and cold water for about 2 years in our office. We signed a 5-year…read morecontract. We had to move to a new location on 7/1 that didn't have plumbing so I reached out to Clearwater through their billing to request a buy-out quote on 4/30. I sent a follow-up email on 5/8. On 5/23, I received the buyout which was for the full value of the contract including the cost of maintenance and filter changes. I reached back out that day shocked as a small business that that was the cost. I received a response on 6/2 saying their product was proprietary and not similar to seemingly comparable products on line. We spoke on the phone around 6/6 and I explained the situation and asked if there was anything that could be done since there was no maintenance to do and we wouldn't be using any filters or other parts for the balance of the contract term. She said her manager was out and that she would talk to her and get back to me the next week. On 6/12 I sent an email asking for an update, then again on 6/24 and then 8/8 after we had completed the move. On 8/11, I got an email asking for a refresh on the situation. On 8/13, after some back and forth - I was offered the option of having plumbing installed in our new office to accommodate the machine, which was not possible. So, after 3.5 months of trying, the answer was that's what the contract says - you have to pay the entire amount to terminate and that there is nothing that could be done. We accepted that answer and decided to pay installments for the balance of the contract. On 9/12, I got an email from the billing partner inquiring about the change of address I notified them about on 4/30. On 9/24 our business owner had a change that required us to complete the buyout. I emailed the billing partner on 9/24. I sent a follow-up on 10/23 since I had received no response. On 10/29, I got a response from the billing partner saying that the there was a backlog of requests and hopefully I would hear back soon. On 11/5, I received the new offer. While we were at our old location, we had no issue with the unit. After researching costs for the move, we found many similar alternatives with lower costs, we paid approximately $3700 for a 5-year lease on the unit we had - which is on us for not doing our homework or understanding the terms of the contract. It was an expensive lesson learned given the move was unplanned. Read contracts carefully and understand what you signed up for - both in terms of cost and terms and conditions. We understand that Clearwater followed the contract - we just wish it had not been so slow and difficult to communicate with them and their billing partner.

Marc is wonderful and responds quickly and is always able to accommodate my delivery requests the same week. I started with the Manhattan Water Company as a student and they delivered to my dorm room. When I moved out they picked up my water unit and set me up with a new unit in my apartment that I have been using ever since. I have only had 1 leaky bottle over 4 years and they were quick to replace it. The gentlemen who deliver the bottles are consistently excellent as well. (Shout out to Louis!) Thank you so much!

Okay. So we're a small biz in Manhattan that's been with Ready Refresh (Nestle) for over a decade,…read moreand we finally got fed up with repeated awful service and cancelled our account. The Poland Springs water by Nestle is good and I was reluctant to drop them for that reason, but enough is enough. How much lousy service can we put up with until it's time to say goodbye. BTW, Ready Refresh happily held the door on our way out instead of asking what they could do to keep our account! Look, we all make mistakes from time to time, so that's no problem, and we don't mind if Ready Refresh makes an occasional error, it's just that they got to the point in which they didn't care about their mistakes. They'd deliver the wrong order and then I'd spend weeks trying to straighten it out. The Ready Refresh driver absolutely refused to ring our buzzer or knock on the door, and instead left the delivery in the hallway, which meant we didn't have a chance to notify the driver that the order was wrong. The list goes on and on. My point is, we didn't want to switch but our hand was forced, and so far, so very, very good! Manhattan Water Company did EXACTLY what they said they would. Delivered the right amount of bottles on the right day in the right way. Their policies are extremely clear and we know where we stand. If we change our order less than 24-hours prior to a delivery or refuse a delivery, we're going to get charged a fee. Very fair! As long as we both play by the rules I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Oh, and most important: The water (which comes from the Catskills) tastes great! I was worried it wouldn't compare to Poland Springs but it does indeed taste as good. If that didn't work, none of the rest mattered. So we're happy and hoping to spend the next 10 to 20 years with MWC!
