The bf surprised me with a Groupon for eyelash extensions so I read up on the Yelp reviews and decided to text her for an appt. since everyone says she constantly stops to answer her phone.. I thought it would be better because she could just respond when she's able to. I asked if she had availability 3 weeks out but she said her earliest was 4 weeks out. I asked if she could let me know if she had cancellations because I would've liked them done before my bday & she said ok. I proceeded to ask if she could still schedule me for 4 weeks out but keep me on her waitlist... no response. I followed up the next day and she told me she'd get back to me. She stated she was off the previous day (a Tuesday) and the day I followed up (Wednesday) so she would return the next day (Thursday). Sounded like she was annoyed but how am I supposed to know she was off if she had responded to my texts? I would've gladly just followed up later if she told me upfront. Anyway, I took the hint and stopped texting her and waited for her to get back to me. Well, it's been two weeks. Stephanie is very good at what she does and a she is a very sweet person but getting an appointment with her is like pulling teeth. Also, I felt that my lashes did not look as full as I wanted them to look ---instead they were long and there were some gaps which I noticed a couple of days after which I have to say I am extremely disappointed with. I had a Groupon and had to call in advance. Since I wanted to get something done somewhat prior to my vacation, she said she would do them a day before leaving for her own vacation. I would have liked to do them after she came back but she wasn't able to be flexible with the timings so I ended up getting them way in advance. Then to come back for a refill after three weeks also, her time was limited so I had to get in asap. I like my lashes ok but don't love them but there's no way to get them fixed as now she is away. Stephanie is an absolute GEM. I've been to her twice now, but I've booked my appointments for May and June already LOL. Stephanie has a room rented in the back of a nice nail salon and is a one woman show - so she does get busy! Her room is kept clean and everything feels in place. She lays you down and asks what you're looking for and delivers exactly that. The first time I went was my first time getting extensions. I don't wear falsies and I never even wear mascara, so Stephanie advised me to go more demure the first time around. My first set was very light but flirty and I appreciated being able to get used to them. I went in this morning for my three week fill and got them more crazy (I.e. VOLUME!!! and a tad bit longer). They're absolutely beautiful on and Steph really listens to what you want. The process takes around an hour, but she's so gentle with her hands and the room is so relaxing I almost fall asleep. I had the same issue as many who bought Groupon "full set with one refill". It was a nightmare to schedule with her and once I did I felt like a nuisance to her. "Why didn't you schedule earlier cause your Groupon expires soon?" Um yes I have been trying to get in touch with you and you don't respond! She scheduled me weeks after my Groupon expired and she tells me my Groupon is expired! Keep in mind- I booked when my Groupon was not expired. Checked out this place for eyelash extensions. I was originally going to buy a Groupon but when I called Stephanie she said she can just match the price. It was easy to make an appointment with her even though she's quickly becoming very popular. She rents out a room in this salon in the back. She answers phone calls during your appointment which I thought was annoying because her phone constantly went off. My initial experience was ok. It was my first time getting eyelash extensions so I wasn't sure what to expect. I heard some tools drop on the floor multiple times during the procedure but my eyes were closed so I'm not sure if she used the same tools on my eyes. I do question the cleanliness. It doesn't seem like she changes her sheets and blankets in between customers that's for sure. She seemed friendly. My eyelashes turned out full and natural looking so that's good. My eyelashes lasted long enough but I took really good care of them. For my follow up, she was late. She took another customer before me and she didn't let me into the room until 20 minutes past my appointment. When she did take me in, she kept going in and out, answering multiple phone calls during my procedure and I felt like I could've been done 20 minutes earlier if she didn't had to do all of that. She's a one man team and if you aren't tight on time, she's budget friendly. But I probably will look elsewhere for my next eyelash extensions. read more

I hate to leave a less than glowing review for Stephanie, but based on my own experience I feel obliged to share and set some expectations for anyone planning ahead to see her. I purchased a Groupon for 1 natural set + 1 fill to use during the holiday season. I had high expectations going in based on all the 5-star reviews on here, but unfortunately ended up disappointed because of the customer service aspect of my visit. My set turned out okay. Echoing Christine N.'s sentiments, I must point out that while it is a good sign that she's extremely busy, the fact that her phone goes off every 2-3 minutes is a huge turn-off. I arrived on time, but we started 30 minutes late due to her prior facial client requesting "extra extractions". Even though she apologized profusely for being late (and called her next 2 clients to push their appointments back), she still picked up EVERY single phone call she received during my session. Thanks to the constant interruptions, the end result was noticeably uneven lash fullness between my eyes - she missed applying extensions on a few spots on the left side, making my right lashes look longer and fuller in comparison. I also barely made it out to get to my lunch appointment. When I called her voicing my concerns after checking out the set properly in the car, she dismissed them stating that she used the same lengths on both eyes and insisted it was because my own lashes were stacked together or that they weren't brushed out properly. Since I used a Groupon and I know she had a back-to-back schedule that day, I didn't insist on asking her to fix it and just dropped it. I understand that running a one-man show is tough and businesses always take a cut when advertising through Groupon, but I definitely did not do anything to deserve less than spectacular service or a dismissal of my concerns regarding the service. I still have a scheduled fill, and I'm sincerely hoping it will turn out better than how my current set did so I can provide an updated review here. Fortunately, my right vs. left lashes now look slightly more even due to my natural lash cycle/fall-out. Also if you're looking to book before the end of the year, she's completely full. I really wanted this to work out - I've been researching and debating getting eyelash extension for quite some time (nearly half a year) and finally decided to try it out today. Unfortunately, I drove down only to find out she had written down the wrong time for me and was busy the rest of the afternoon. After having rearranged my whole day in order to accommodate this 2 hour appointment, it was frustrating to have wasted the effort and an hour of driving time for nothing. I received a trip to L'amour Studio 22 as a gift from my best friend. I was so excited to get my eyelashes done. Unfortunately in order to get the treatment, you have to be able to make an appointment. I started on Feb 21st, trying to call and make an appointment. Over the next 3 weeks, I called a total of 6 times leaving a voicemail each time. I sent 2 yelp appointment requests. To say the least, I never once got a call back or any acknowledgement. With groupons I'm concerned that the business would treat me differently with the groupon and some have even made me feel guilty for using one as if they rather not have you as a customer at all. But not with Stephanie! She gives you first class treatment as if you were one of her regular customers and is so happy to have you as a customer. She is super professional and listens to what you want with your lashes. Her prices Without groupon is super affordable already so you won't have to feel like you have to sacrifice major bucks if you decide that you want to keep getting them done again (which you most likely will!) I like supporting independently run businesses, so I would rather go to Stephanie directly rather than giving a cut of the money to groupon in the future. I got them done about two weeks ago and they are still standing strong and long, I still get compliments on them today. I always end up falling asleep while she's doing my lashes. It's so relaxing and her bed is warm and super cozy. The process took around 1 hour - 1.5 hours initially. I went back for a refill shortly after to prepare for a party and it took around 1 hour. I love Stephanie!! I've been in the shadow of my older sister who has had long thick voluminous hair her whole life which also shows in her eyebrows and eyelashes. Me on the other hand, I have thin eyebrows and short thin eyelashes. My girlfriend who gets extensions done all the time (with her own eyelash lady) told me to come prepared and not wear my contacts because some glue will seep through in your eyes and cause burning. Well..... I came ready to take my contacts off and Stephanie told me not to worry because it should be fine. Guess what, my eyes didn't burn!!
