Merveilleux! Magnifique! And I don't even speak French!…read more We were directed to this café by a tour guide and through online recommendations. It was one of very few eating establishments near our hotel, so given its popularity and being aware of the need to have reservations for dinner, we decided to try a mid-day lunch. There was nobody eating indoors, so we selected an outside table. The area is mostly shady and has a nice feel, but tables are rather closely spaced, and if you're sensitive to cigarette smoke, you might not enjoy this. The menu has many classical Swiss dishes, and the place is best known for its outstanding fondue. We ordered this to share. A carafe of water, our wine, and a basket of not-so-fresh crusty bread (uncubed) came first. Then the fondue (in a cast iron pot), my gazpacho, and my husband's salad arrived. The waiter offered a half portion of salad, which was perfect. My gazpacho was slightly textured, had hints of garlic, onion, and peppers, and came with mini-croutons. It was perfect on that hot afternoon. But the star of our lunch was the amazing fondue, which was thick and flavorful. We did have to cut up the bread for dipping, and it certainly could have been fresher. There were lots of sparrows trying to get their share of it. All in all, this was a great afternoon meal at a reasonable cost (for Switzerland, anyhow). We'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Since the place is known for fondue, we had to get that and it was really good. I could have just eaten that and been fine but I didn't know that ahead of time and ordered some ravioli, which was very good too. Service was fairly friendly and the food was great, so I give it two thumbs up. I will say the seating is a little tight but they're trying to give as many people as possible the opportunity to eat here so I get it.

Since I'm always "game" for a new experience, I was happy to participate! I was a little nervous because when we arrived they had just opened and there was nobody there. However, I soon relaxed and felt right at home, because service was very friendly and encouraging, but with no pressure to try the game menu. I decided to be a little bold and went for the venison medallions. I even tried some of my colleague's wild boar pate, which was good. I started with a pumpkin chestnut soup which I really enjoyed. My venison was lovely as were the accompanying sides. There was a wide variety of side dishes in small portions and I appreciated that. I paired everything with a nice local beer and it was a very nice experience. The dessert menu is extensive and I went with an old standby, a chocolate mousse. It was absolutely incredible. Everything was fresh and delicious, service was outstanding and I could understand that by the time we left, there wasn't an empty seat in the place. Definitely recommend the experience here. It's more than just the food!

One of our favorites was beef with a foie gras top. We were really too full for dessert, but had to order when we saw them at a neighboring table. I especially loved the Floating Island! With the last changes of front of house staff, Seventy5 becomes worthy of its magnificent kitchen, and of the direction of its chef d'cuisine. Whether breakfast, lunch, room service, or the seasonal offering of the main dining room, it's the best to be had. No question. I'm as snarky and picky as it gets. Yes, room service offering has to travel 5-6 minutes from the pass and it's likely d.o.a. Dine in the restaurant if this is your standard, like mine. (But you'll miss the offering of the lasagne bolognese, only offered on room service) There are MANY Michelin restaurants in the area. Seventy5 remains a SOLID 4-star offering (best in class for the area) for all Geneva. Stay at the Crowne Plaza so that you can enjoy the care of these professionals, whether breakfast, room service, or a proper dinner.

We wanted to have Swiss fondue before leaving the country and noticed that our hotel had built a small fondue hut essentially in the parking lot in front of the Crowne Plaza hotel where the restaurant is located. The hut is just big enough for a table for 8, and it couldn't be cozier inside. The servers from the bar kept running out to check on us and make sure we had what we needed. We had the fondue moitie-moitie (blend of two cheeses) as well as an assortment of meats, pickles and onions with plenty of bread, and it was delicious with more than enough food. They also suggested a delicious white wine to go along with it. It may seem like an odd set up, but we highly recommend it!

The restaurant has a very casual vibe, with many locals who seem to hang out here. I tried the dinner special, which was the Filet de Boeuf. The beef was tender and flavorful. It was served with a wonderful house sauce, potatoes, and mushrooms. The special included a salad, bread, and choice of dessert. (I chose flan, which was delightful). With a large bottle of sparkling water, the meal totaled about $40 CHF - really a pretty good value for the quality, portions and considering Genève prices. The service was good and in the Swiss / French style of not bugging you while you eat and relax! I will return. I would like to try their octupus next.
