I typically get the Luxury Spa Pedicure with gel. This time for my birthday month I decided to go the weekend before to get my pedicure and asked for the Collagen Spa Pedicure with gel. ($67 + $15 gel + $15), as far as color I asked to try the cat eye polish. I also told the nail tech that because they use the drill to take off the gel my big toe nails have been brittle and sometimes break at the edges before my next appointment. So I asked for some sort of builder gel or something to strengthen it. (One time one tech did rebuild a section of my toe nail with builder gel to match) Well I'm not sure she understood me. About 5 hours later sure enough my right toe nail cracked in the middle/edge. It was too late on a Saturday to go back and ask for it to be fixed. I called around 10am Monday morning and was told to come in at 4:20. I did. I never felt so judged and the looks I was getting when the receptionist went around telling about 4 different techs my complaint. I did wait about 15 minutes for someone to help me, which was fine, but then the tech who originally did my nails didn't even fix it. She said she didn't hear me when I said I wanted builder gel, just that I was saying I had issues with them breaking. So now I felt bad that someone else is having to fix it. So I obviously tipped her. (Mind you I tipped $20 to the tech who did my nails Saturday). Then she gives me a bill of $10! She ended up putting a tip on. 1. It was wayyy too long and had to ask her to file it down and still looks too long. 2. Then I noticed that the cat eye was facing the wrong way! I'm so disappointed how this was handled and these were supposed to be my birthday nails. I paid a total of $131 for a pedicure I'm not even happy with and don't match.

I would have given a five-star review, except I observed that a nail technician dropped her nail/cuticle clippers on the floor and picked them up with her gloved hand and did not change her gloves or wash her hands, nor did she sanitize the instrument or place it in a soiled container, but proceeded to use it on her client. I am a State Board Licensed Cosmetologist, and licensed to work as a Manicurist. When it comes to safety and sanitation, if she were taking an exam to get her Manicurist License - that is an automatic fail. I plan to take my granddaughter back to Nail Me Lounge, and although I do not live in the area, perhaps when I am in town, I will get my nails done there next time, as well.

This was a difficult decision to make because I genuinely care about people, especially those with whom I have built rapport. I also hoped that your attitude toward others would change over time. Even against Katy's advice, I continued to frequently support your establishment and listen to the harsh comments you made about other people. I accepted your negative demeanor even when I made simple requests regarding services that I was paying for with my hard-earned money. I also tried to bring you more business by referring friends, including my closest friends. Each time, however, you had something negative to say, and you treated them so poorly that they vowed not to return. The last incident was the final straw. I brought a friend in to have her nails done, and you made her feel so uncomfortable that she later asked me why I would continue spending my money at a place with such subpar customer service. Your Yelp reviews are filled with customers expressing concerns about how rude you are, and every chance I had, I tried to defend you. However, you never extended that same grace or flexibility to me. When I asked you to try something new for me, you refused. During my most recent visit, you told me that you prefer your clients not bring referrals because you do not understand why "Westerners like to do everything together." You also expressed frustration that my friend and I were conversing with one another while getting our nails done. You were upset that my friend wanted to know the cost of services before receiving them, and you even stated that "people should not enter your establishment with expectations." During my visit, children were in the salon opening and spilling nail supplies, which made the experience feel chaotic rather than relaxing. In my opinion, that isn't the level of professionalism I was expecting. I was really hoping to find a salon close to home that provided quality service, but this experience was very disappointing. Sadly, I'll have to continue my search elsewhere.

I have read the mixed opinions on these reviews and one thing that continues to come up is that they are dirty, even one reviewer wrote about how the nail techs from LA nails use the same dirty implements on different clients as a Nail technician/ Manicurist that makes me furious and their is another reason that I'm am furious my daughter got a pedicure there at LA Nails/lake Elsinore this past June /14 and the end result Cellulitis of the foot/ Staph infection, had to go to urgent care mind you she doesn't have insurance and was given 3 different type of antibiotic which in antibiotics alone was $200 , she still is going through the healing process, that's right like one of the reviewers said " I wouldn't put my feet in a pedicure bowl" well people don't, their sanitation procedures are HORRIBLE!!!!! STATE BOARD of CALIFORNIA needs to step in and pay visits to every salon and shut the business down if it doesn't meet the standard required by the state to operate, these are irresponsible so called Nail spa that don't give a crap about people's health, it is time for people to do their home work,not because a pedicure for $18 looks good or even $12 means that its good. read more

I am very pleased with this salon! The first time I was here I helped drive a friend and the second time was for myself. Both times we waited for about 15 minutes without booking and had Becky work do our nails. She was so sweet and professional and did a great job. My friend was satisfied by the time she was done, and I am definitely satisfied, so I think we'll be coming back with other friends very soon read more

Went back here the other day after not going in a really long time, they still do not do a good job, I got acrylic nails, and they were incredibly thick! I felt like I couldn't do anything with my hands... I now have removed them, couldn't take it. My daughter had a manicure, and it came out ok. so maybe only go here for a manicure, if you must :( read more

My girlfriend loved her nails for our anniversary so much. She doesn't have a yelp but she asked me to post it, she is absolutely obsessed with her nails. Ask for Becky! She is amazing. My girlfriend goes her all the time and gets different designs and shapes and all of them just looks so nice and she is always so happy read more

Always been my go to place. The ladies pay close attention to details and my fills always look great. The wait isn't so bad so I don't know what people are complaining about. Costumer service isn't bad either and the girls are professional and know what they are doing. read more

Thrilled to have found Letting Go in early March when Lorraine put me on a waiting list and got me in on a Friday when another customer cancelled. Perfect timing, too, because it was just a few days prior to me and my mother putting ourselves on "house arrest" because of the C-Virus scare. Although Lorraine is a "nail artist," I told her I only wanted something similar to what I have been doing a long time; purple base with glitter. I asked her, don't you have samples you can show me from a bottle? She says, "We don't do it that way here. I custom-make your gel colour and glitter to your specifications." I showed her some pix of my nails from the other salon, and she used that as a starting point. Now that I trust her implicitly, I will likely let her come up with her own purple colour and glitter ideas next time. It is nearly a month since I had the work done and only ONE nail is starting to chip so far. I hope I can hold out until my house arrest is over, like another month, by clipping the nails carefully. This is a small intimate salon, not crowded with people since is appointment only. Unlike most other salons, the technicians are not rushing, so plan extra time for this type of quality. Also, be prepared to pay more money here than at an assembly line salon, but it is worth every penny of it. (My last nail shop couldn't even get the colours straight cuz the samples were often in the wrong spot with the wrong number). That can't happen here because there are no samples with numbers! I can't wait to go back for my hands and feet, hopefully by late May!

I showed him the design I wanted, which was nothing complicated. When he started shaping my nails, I asked him to make them shorter because I'm a NURSE who works with BABIES. Instead of simply shortening them, he laughed at me. I then chose a maroon color, and the color put on my nails was nowhere near what I asked for. I asked for a second coat because I wanted them darker, and once again, he laughed. I genuinely don't understand what was so funny about a paying customer asking for the service and color they wanted. The pedicure was somehow even worse. The woman doing my toes clearly had no idea what she was doing. I asked her to shorten my toenails, and she grabbed CUTICLE CUTTERS. I specifically told her about my ingrown toenails beforehand, and she didn't even attempt to address them. The polish was uneven, messy, and honestly looked like something I could have done myself at home. At this point, it was already 7:30 PM. I was exhausted and ready to get the hell out of there, so I told her I didn't want the massage. One of the men sitting by the door asked, "You don't want a massage?" I said, "No, I'm ready to go home." I had already been there for TWO HOURS and was completely over the experience. The worst part is that I walked in expecting a relaxing experience and walked out irritated, disappointed, and feeling completely disrespected. I have NEVER had a nail salon experience this bad. Bad service is one thing, but the attitude, laughing at me, lack of professionalism, and complete disregard for what I was asking for made this experience unacceptable. I disputed the transaction with my bank because, in my opinion, the service I received was absolutely not worth what I was charged. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration.
