GIRL AKO OKAY NA SA TURON AT ICE TUBIG Para sa fans ng chicken wings and steaks, I found the place for you! (Syempre ako yung bida bigla ano) Go kayo at Blake's Wings & Steaks in Marikina City! Obviously, they offer wings and steaks (try their Porterhouse Steak baby) pero meron din naman silang salad, sandwich, pasta, different sides and some desserts. Hindi pa masyadong malawak (parang hacienda lang eh hahaha) yung menu nila pero basta kumakain ka ng steak at wings (baka lumipad ka teh) solved ka na dito! Limited lang yung parking slots (3 or 4 na sasakyan lang ata) and it's a little bit pricey for me (yung rice around P40-P50 na). But if you're looking for a new place to try with your friends or family, okay naman dito. Hindi lang siya yung pupuntahan ko madalas (price issue) but the taste ng food naman is good!

But I still do have a social life you know, which is why I'm thankful to have friends who understand when I'm down and broke. When this happens, Chili's is the obvious choice. Not for their great tasting burgers, not for their quesadillas and not even for their mojitos. Chili's is the obvious choice for their unlimited nachos! Unlimited nachos is actually the best thing ever. I remember there was a time when my dinner group of 4 ordered just that and nothing else. We stayed there for more than 3 hours while we happily downed cold water for drinks. Nothing can really get in the way of saving for that adorable bag, so thank god for unlimited nachos. For good old American food, Chili's is always the best choice.

This restaurant also has a nice interior with its Southwestern theme. It's not everyday that you get a taste of Southwestern food here in the Philippines. Everytime I go here for lunch with my friends or family, I end up ordering their bottomless Tostada chips served with their tasty and flavorful house-made salsa. For additional dips, you can pay for their Ranch dressing and Queso. For my main course, I often have their Grilled Chicken Sandwich, which has crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese, and their to-die-for honey mustard dressing. If you want something sweet after the main course, you can have their Molten Chocolate Cake, which is shaped just like a volcano. A look of this delectably delicious cake would make you drool. It might be a little bit pricey for some of us, but sometimes you have to pay money for good food!

Plus, who doesn't love Bacon? Seriously. The place is small and cramped. There are a couple of high stools and three small tables under the "Long Live Bacon" sign. If you need to use the comfort room, you have to enter the secret room called ABV. It's a speakeasy and I will definitely talk about it more in another review. The food here is perfect for after a long night of drinking with friends. They offer a breakfast menu where you can customize your own plate. Want a bacon and egg sandwich made with 2 waffles? Go for it! But, in my opinion, the definite Must Try here are their Hotdogs! All their hotdogs are bacon-wrapped and deep fried! YUM! I recommend the Chili Dog (Php220) and the Kimchi Dog (Php190). Next time, I will have to try their Tater Bombs (bacon-wrapped potato tots)! But, it's always sold out when I arrive! Huhu! I can't wait to see what Lazy Bastard will "baconify" next! :D

I tasted the hotdog sandwich's full potential. I experienced Lazy Bastard's BACON WRAPPED hotdog in a bun and topped with a load of toppings. I particularly found their Con carne and parmesan hotdog sandwich to be their bestest. On my next visit, I'm planning to try their AVOCADOG. On the other hand, I found their burger to be okay.

Upon entering, I was impressed with how the place looks. It's such a stark contrast to its predecessor because of its vibrant vibe and cool decorations. The place is inspired by the movie, "Chef," where the lead character decided to pursue his passion for Cuban cuisine. The walls are adorned with quotes written in chalk, while nostalgic items surround the area, such as old beer bottles, one of the first Nokia phone models, a Nintendo family computer, vinyl records, an analog TV, and other vintage stuff. I also like their cute makeshift lamps! Their menu is written on a long blackboard, and aside from ribs, they also serve wings, some sides, and milkshakes! I was so curious to try the Cubano sandwich, but since we would be eating rice, I told myself, "Next time!" :p A recent addition to their menu is the classic fish and chips, which are actually fries that reminded me of Mcdonald's! Even if they were a bit soggy, they still tasted good. The fish was just ordinary, but unlike the breaded fish of other restaurants, Brad & Pit's breading was light, so I could still taste the actual fish. At P175 per serving, it's quite a good catch (literally and figuratively hehe). I hope they could serve it with tartar sauce, though. Next, we tried their wings. P200 for 6 pairs is a bit pricey for me, but they tasted great! They weren't too spicy nor too oily, and they were served with honey mustard. Brad and Pit's also offers combo meals priced at P149: that's a pair of wings with one side and rice. Whether they're spicy or not, wings go well with milkshakes! Okay, maybe alcoholic drinks are the best partners, but hey, the heat has been unbearable these days, so milkshakes will do! I ordered strawberry, but you can also choose from chocolate and vanilla. Finally, we tried a huge serving (medium) of ribs, aptly called the "Rib Mountain." These babies come in 4 serving options: small, medium, large, and extra large. We were like, "Medium?! Paano pa kaya 'yung extra large - doble nito?!" (Medium? What more if this were the extra large serving - double this size?!) This size is suited for 2-3 people already, and at P385, it's such a steal! Though the meat isn't the fall-off-the-bone kind, the ribs were still flavorful enough. They are best paired with Brad and Pit's specialty rice: cargo and burrito. IT'S SO GOOD! I could eat the rice on its own! :p Brad and Pit's Ribshack is located at 116 Lilac Street, very near the bridge connecting Soliven and Lilac. They are open from 12 noon until 11 pm from Tuesday to Sunday. It's a good place to indulge in affordable ribs and chill with your buddies or family!

I consider Buffalo wings to be one of my favorite foods, so when someone declares this place to be one of the best wings in town, I had to find out for myself. Frankie's set-up is like the typical wings diner: homey and pleasantly cluttered. I had the garlic parmesan as recommended by the waiter, and the Frankie's Classic Buffalo. As it was the one flavor that took the restaurant's name as its title, the Frankie's classic was definitely the better order of the two. Everything I've been hearing about the place was right; this might be the best Buffalo wings place in the city! The Frankie's classic is a masterpiece, I don't know how many kinds of Buffalo wings I've tried in my life, but this time I think I've found the perfect original no frills wings.

Among your list of happy food, there would be items that make you happier more than the others. For…read moreme, this would be Buffalo wings. Going further, some places would inevitably prepare the dish better than most. To me, this is Frankie's New York Buffalo Wings. I usually head to Frankie's after a night run. This could get as late as midnight. The place is open until 2 am, and by this time the horrible parking situation at the City Golf Compound would already be more manageable. (Of course, provided it's a not a weekend.) I always get the Classic Buffalo (spicy) with blue cheese dip, and ask for more blue cheese dips. (They charge extra). I like the chicken because of the way the skin has been cooked to a crisp, all the while keeping the meat rather tender; I think it's breaded. The sauce is spicy yet with just the right bite, meaning there is a dimension to the flavor and not just plain crazy-fiery. Like, I can still taste the butter and the vinegar all coming nicely together with the one-two punch of the hot sauce. Oh-yeah! The best part is you don't even have to worry about getting your hands dirty because they give away disposable gloves. To be honest, I don't really use it since I am used to working with utensils in dissecting my chicken, but I just think it's rather thoughtful of them. As my personal motto goes: it's the useless stuff that builds character.
