Kelly Ladouceur was amazing working with us to make sure our vision was met while also balancing our budget. Anyone who has ever redone a kitchen knows scope can creep. She worked with us and our contractors (who were amazing on their own) to put us right where we needed to be. As the project progressed, so did changes and modifications. He seemed eager and more than willing to accept the changes. Time went on, money flowed but the work diminished drastically. He didn't 100% complete any singular task. The most recent draw accompanied zero additional work completed. He received that draw and ended up on a vacation that "went a little over," so he couldn't show up until the following week. We voiced concerns numerous times which he would defend with threatening language and responses. Ben contacted me immediately and ensured we scheduled a time that worked best for my husband and me. During the few days leading up to the initial consultation, Ben asked plenty of questions to get a better understanding of what we wanted for our new floors. He provided us with information about the process, his equipment, and the different material choices. In our opinion, this was very educational and helped us to make the best decision for our floors. On the day of the consultation, Ben arrived with different color samples and was efficient when examining our floors and taking measurements. It was a quick and seamless consultation. He answered all of our questions and explained his process again. From this meeting, it was clear that Ben is passionate about his work and wants what's best for his clients. He was also very honest and told us that he was booked for the next few weeks. We didn't mind waiting because we knew Ben was the right person to work on our floors. He added us to his calendar and kept good communication with us throughout the weeks leading up to our job. He started on our floors on time, as promised. What we really liked about Ben and his team was that we saw the same people everyday. Ben did not subcontract any part of the job to anyone else. He ensured we received the highest quality workmanship from the very beginning. He ended each day with a detailed update and even extra information whenever I had additional questions. We got to personally interact and get to know Ben and his family. As I mentioned above, they are very passionate about and dedicated to their work. Towards the end, Ben knew he would need extra time on our floors and made sure we knew as soon as he knew about the extended timeline. It was 4 additional days, and we believe our floors deserved the extra attention. Ben and his team did an amazing job on refinishing our hardwood floors. The pictures do not show how absolutely stunning and beautiful our floors look, and it definitely doesn't show all the hard work Ben and his team put into the floors. Five stars is not enough for Ben and his team. I would give him 10 stars if I could. In a million years I never would have guessed that's what it was. The gentlemen working are extremely nice and the owner was super helpful. EDIT: Received a call from the business. They are going to come out and investigate why it is doing this. Any time a business is proactive, it gets high marks in my book. I will redo my review once that has been completed. I really do not like leaving bad reviews, especially when the people are great to work with. We originally had a gravel driveway that was constantly covered in grass/weeds so we wanted to have it covered with asphalt so we would have less maintenance. It was my fault for not getting other estimates, however, I had seen a review on this company on NextDoor so I went with it. Everyone I talked to with the company was extremely nice and helpful and my review has nothing to do with that. My review has to do with the quality after the fact. We had this done in August and I waited until now to post a review because I wanted to give it some time to see how it went before giving an honest review. About two months in, I noticed some cracks in random spots where weeds were actually growing back through. Well, I expected this after a while but not two months. I called and was told to get some asphalt sealer. I was hoping the owner would offer to come take a look and help but he did not. So we got some of that and used it on the spots we saw. Now we notice there are other areas that are bulging and cracking all over. For the amount of money we spent and for this to be happening 4 months after the fact is quite disappointing. I have never had this done before but have seen plenty of asphalt driveways and have never seen or heard of this happening so soon after. If I could go back, I would have gotten more estimates and done way more research into this. We spent a lot of money and are not very happy with the quality of what was done.
