We went in to inquire about repairing just one hickory board in our floor that was profoundly damaged. A very unique situation. After some discussion, one member of the staff went in search of a scrap plank or two, while his colleague provided us the name and number for a contractor who does hardwood repairs. The scrap search was successful, but the better news is that they would not take payment for the 4 or 5 feet of boards. For this reason, we will visit Moore Floors first when we need any more flooring needs. They are beyond nice and helpful and turned our difficult situation into a great experience. read more

I absolutely do not recommend Moore Floor's to anyone looking to get their hardwood floors stained and/or finished. We loved the color of the stain and had a good experience in their showroom, however, we are not satisfied with the job as a whole. Please see attached pictures and videos for a visual of our issues with the job. This is the level of work you can expect from Moore Floors. On every single wall in every single room that was stained there is stain on the trim. Getting stain all over the trim is not standard in the industry and is not acceptable. As you enter every room, your eyes are immediately drawn to the stain on the trim. We also had to find the transition strips and bedroom closet doors because none of those were reinstalled. Additionally, there were five bags of trash left in our front yard. They finished the job on Thursday. We emailed Kelly Saturday about our issues and he emailed us back quickly and said the crew said they'd pick the trash up that following Monday. Why would a professional company leave their trash in a customer's front yard for 5 days? This level of work from a professional flooring company is unacceptable, and I'm sure you will agree after reviewing the pictures and videos. Initially, we assumed that the crew who completed this job was having an off day because this is not what we expected based off of the positive reviews we've heard about Moore Floors. Unfortunately, after going back and forth with Moore Floors on how to remedy these mistakes, we found this is standard business practice for them. It's very clear there wasn't an attempt to avoid the moulding at all. Their remedy was to remove our stained moulding and install primed moulding which doesn't fix the problem because we would still have to paint that moulding OR give us a $200 credit to cover part of what we have to pay a painter to fix their mistakes. They ask the customer to pay for the company's mistakes. $200 doesn't cover the paint job for paining the trim in our entire house. We have to paint the trim on every single wall in every single room that they stained. If Moore Floors didn't get stain all over our trim, we wouldn't have to paint our trim. Why wouldn't the company cover the costs for their mistakes? This is not the level of work expected from a professional flooring company. If we knew it was acceptable for stain to be all over the moulding, we wouldn't have paid Moore Floors thousands of dollars -- we are capable of ruining our moulding ourselves. But we hired Moore Floors to do the job of professionals which, as evidenced in the pictures, Moore Floors failed to do. It is not the customer's job to pay for the company's mistakes. Stain ALL over the moulding is a major mistake by Moore Floors, and their lack of prevention and failure to remedy this situation is shameful. It should be criminal for Moore Floors to charge customers what they do. We hope Moore Floors eventually sees the issue with accepting this level of work in their business, but based on our conversation with them, it doesn't appear they're willing to better themselves any time soon. We are lucky to have lawyers in our family, as well as in construction and interior design so we know what we can expect from a professional company. No company should rely on their customers not having access to lawyers or the construction/interior design industry. If we didn't, we would've accepted their terrible job. It's disheartening to think how many of Moore Floors customer were unknowingly taken advantage of and accepted Moore Floors' unprofessional job. We didn't know who to get to do our kitchen and bathroom floors. Well, we now know who we'll get for our next projects. Literally everyone we dealt with at Moore Floors were wonderful. Their quote was very reasonable, and they told us what to expect and then followed through on everything. The installation (both rooms) took a grand total of 2 hours and 45 minutes. And, it was done well! I really appreciate it when people know what they're doing. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. read more

There is always one crabapple in the bunch. Moore floors has hundreds of five star reviews and one that says they are a poor choice. Moore Floors is hands down the best, most caring, and professional flooring company you will ever work with. Several of the top contractors in the area work exclusively with them because their reputations are at stake. That says a lot. read more

I have waited six months before writing this review. We really love our new floor. It looks as good today as it did when it was installed. The sales staff spend time guiding me to the correct product and color scheme. They were patient, listened to what I wanted. I would not have selected the right product without their assistance. The six man floor installation team showed up early! Cleared out the old, installed the new plank vinyl floor in six hours. I can only describe them as highly professional and their work as excellent. I will use Moore Floors again for the kitchen renovation. read more

We were working with a contractor because of a broken pipe in our lower floor and were getting frustrated as the process had been going on for two months and I was tired of looking at my concrete floors. Out of frustration I called Moore Flooring directly and asked them for a quote to just come in and install the floors. I told them they already had the measurements and what I wanted and they said they would call me back. Rather than call me back they called the contractor to let him know what I was doing and then the contractor called my husband. The owner of Moore Flooring was unapologetic. He said he had contracted with my contractor and not me. As we have been dealing with this contractor for two months and have yet to get started on any repair work due to the fact that we have been dealing with insurance and proceeding at a slower pace than we would have liked, I did not think contacting vendors and asking for a direct quote was going to create problems with anyone. We did not have a contract finalized with the contractor to do the work. Moore Floors said they had a contract with the contractor but to date, we have no finalized contract with the contractor. I can understand Moore not wanting to upset a contractor that may give them more business however this situation could have been avoided if Moore had called me first just to say they would only work with the contractor. Calling the contractor behind my back just does not seem like the right thing to do. Now it seems like I am better off without the contractor or Moore. read more

Highly recommend Moore Floors. Kelly, the owner is very professional and knowledgeable. We installed wood floors in our living, family and foyer areas, and recently added more flooring in a guest bedroom and plan to use again for our office. We love the floors so much that we keep doing more and more. The crew is prompt, efficient, and the work while it is being performed is done with minimal disruption to your home with clean-up occurring at the end of each workday. Neighbors have stopped by and commented on the efficiency and diligence of the crew as they worked long nights and into the evening and weekends to ensure that the work was performed on schedule.
