TLDR: You are required to set up appointments for all visits now…read more After attempting to apply online (which didn't work) I happened to be in the area for the DMV so I figured I'd walk over as it's not stated anywhere online that you must have an appointment. When you get there the loud speaker announcement states they have appointments available within 5 days. I almost laughed because it's wildly inaccurate. I'd booked an appointment a few days before for the first one available - almost 3 weeks out. Even if you go by business days, it's not close to being accurate. Currently they'll let you sign in, get a number, wait for 30 minutes, then call your number, and at your window you'll be told to make an appointment and they'll refuse to help you further. It's absolutely bonkers and I've never seen anything like it. After I was told I could wait an additional 3-4 hours for the possibility of speaking with someone, I asked if like the DMV they could text me when someone can speak with me. No. No, they don't do that either. I left. I will say I ended up googling and found a great thread that talked about the different processes people have used to get into their non-working SSA accounts. I tried a few of them and was finally able to log in via IDme on an incognito window so I could download a statement of my account, which solved about half of what I needed. Overall, it was a pretty awful and extremely inefficient experience all around. Definitely would not recommend.

When I asked for proof of my appointment to show my job you guys blacked out my SSN for what? Come today and the Asian lady tells me at window 8 I can't take your documents sat there for how long looking at the computer and when I handed her my stuff and my OLD social security from when I was married say I can't take none of these. I need your resident card. I told her I told them it was stolen when I made the appointment I am in the process of getting my citizenship I was just told since my father was a US Citizen and served in the navy I havr to file for my citizenship. In the process of this now then the lady was like I don't know if you're going to be approved. I was llike excuse me? She said oh I'm sorry I just need the card. They should of said that to me so I could pull it up online with the number and whatever expiration date she said she needed. You had me come here to waste my time and be rude about it. I've should of known better to come here because when my mother passed away I came here to give her death certificate and the Hispanic man who called my number told me I don't need to take that from you the mortorary will send all of that to us. Okay I was there with it reporting her death. Just a waste of time here

Prior to coming and changing my name, I filled out the application online a few days prior and kept the reference number on hand. When entering the building, you get your number from a kiosk and wait your turn, as you would anywhere else. I waited about 40 minutes, when my number was called, the process took less than 10 minutes. I was in and out in under an hour, which is more than I can say for any other government building lol. Wait times can vary, but on a Tuesday morning it went by pretty fast, even though there was a line of 20 people in front of me. Looks like wait times will be long, but the staff are clearly very efficient. The lady who helped me was extremely nice and helpful, and answered all my questions. I'm glad I went here instead of another SSA location. 7 windows open, 3 closed. Not bad at all.

At that point, I was just two numbers away from being called. I asked the security guard why there weren't signs posted near the kiosks or a notice on the electronic board explaining this beforehand. He said they were short-staffed. I replied that perhaps they should at least advertise that people need to call ahead, instead of wasting the public's time and their staff's time. I then told the clerk I wanted to wait for a manager to discuss the inefficiencies. After another 10 minutes with no response, I left. This office is beyond ridiculous

The program does a great job providing access to nutritious foods, helpful nutrition education, and consistent support for pregnant individuals, new parents, infants, and young children. Services like breastfeeding counseling and health referrals really show how comprehensive and thoughtful the program is. What stands out most is how accessible and supportive the staff and clinics are. With multiple locations across the city and free services, it makes it much easier for families to get the help they need without added stress. The inclusion of tools like the WIC card and mobile app also helps make grocery shopping more convenient and straightforward. Overall, WIC in San Francisco is a well-organized and impactful program that truly helps families stay healthy and supported. While there can be some limitations in food options, the overall benefits and support offered make it a highly worthwhile and appreciated service.

Cristina is the housing administrative secretary located at the senior center. In 2024 concord enacted their "Residential Tenant Protection Program" municipal code 19.40 Their portal was down, the requirements to register changed, and the system was overloaded. Over 9000 rentals in concord were affected. I am not only a Renter & Tenant myself, but I also own rentals as a landlord and manage property. We love our tenants and the blue collar landlords that we work with- but hate these new regulations. Cristina was very knowledgeable in helping us navigate setting up the portal and registering multiple properties. Her insight, knowledge and expertise was a tremendous help!!! She gave us her personal card and email so we can follow up with questions (which I will be Sharing with tenants and landlord both) Her honestly, advice and resources were a breath of fresh air considering how difficult it has been trying to navigate and interpret the new law. Unfortunately, I think the additional red tape will cause rental prices to increase in concord, and in the long run will damage the free market. That being said- it's nice to know we have someone who is a neutral 3rd party we can go to for advice. Special thanks to Cristina Cisneros. I'm sure the city never checks yelp but hopefully this will help other landlords and tenants.
