    Vegetable soup
    Kelly N.

We are staying in the area and wandered over. It was a Sunday night and many of the restaurants seemed to be closed. This darling little restaurant did not disappoint. The waitress was so sweet and friendly and the young man who appeared to be possibly the manager. My husband and I both had the vegetable soup which was more of a puree but excellent and hearty non the less. My husband had the special of the night which was Jambon / ham. It was sliced very thin and more like a jerky but he loved it I had the beef and mash potatoes. The mashed potatoes were very good. My steak lacked seasoning so I added a little salt and pepper and it was very good. The young man recommended a wine for my husband to accompany his entree and he liked it very much. The offered the menu in English and were very friendly to us Americans. Nice atmosphere and good food - we would go again!

    Pauillac - yummy!!!

Amazing wine, reasonably priced, the lamb is delicious. The waiter, Willie, has fret knowledge of the wine list and pairings. He led me from a Margaux to a Pomeral to a St Emilion and finalized with a Pauillac - outstanding!!!

Knowledgeable, courteous staff who recommended great wine for our group. Excellent snacks as well! Try the Pessac-Léognan.

But, the restaurant filled up quickly after we arrived.. I recommend making a reservations if you can. Food was on point. Every was really fresh and potent in flavor. Foie gras was good. The escargo was perfect, no sand or acidity. The muscle was same, fresh filled with buttery sauce. They offered extra bread to soak up the liquid of heaven. My extra picky eater toddlers approved of their "chicken" which in reality is the duck confit. It came with a crispy layer on the outside and moist, tender, falling off the bone inside. Kid approved! Its a win, so mom and dad dont have to nag the kids to eat. There was a few awkward moments when they didnt understand us. The steak tartar never came out. But we were too full anyways. We filled up on the amazing bread. We asked for a cappuccino and he assumed were done with dinner. A few culture clashes but I dont mind. The staff were kind, very attentive, and had a lot of empathy when my 2 year accidentally poured water. They didnt even flinch and offered to help immediately. We really enjoyed our time here and the experience overall was priceless.
