This is seriously becoming one of my favorite places in Cleveland. I crave it constantly when I want spicy, or when I want light, or when I want cozy, or when I want heavy, etc etc etc... you get the idea. Most cravings can be solved by a bowl of their ramen. Ambiance feels completely outside of Cleveland. Team is always so kind. I can't wait for my next visit!
The interior design was so cool! It's definitely a great place for trendy pics. There's a wooden tree made up of notes by customers that you can contribute to, a beehive-looking seating alongside the wall. The food was not that great, as most of the things we tried were bland. The ramen was flavorful though! I will say the broths were very oily but tasty nonetheless. I got the creamy udon noodles and found the sauce texturally great but missing flavor. The mushrooms were also good texture but, again, could used salt. I do recommend the shrimp tempura though! Melts in your mouth. And I was pleased with their boba, especially the taro.
Beautiful interior and a fun dining experience overall. We came around 3:30 PM on a Sunday and waited about 30-40 minutes, which makes sense given it's a newer spot with little competition nearby. We chose to wait a bit longer for a honeycomb booth and it was 100% worth it being quiet, cozy, and great for actually enjoying your meal without feeling crowded. Our group of five ordered 4 appetizers, 5 entrées, and 1 dessert. Food came out quickly overall, but there was a mix-up with the bao buns (two pork instead of one pork and one chicken). Staff handled it kindly, but the replacement chicken bao didn't arrive until we were already halfway through our entrées, which was disappointing and we weren't really able to enjoy it. Also the appetizers all came out completely separately which was a little odd. Service was still solid, our waitress was friendly and helpful with recommendations. Definitely on the pricier side for five people, but a fun option for a date night, special occasion, or ramen craving. Drinks * Strawberry Lemonade (4/5): Refreshing and well-balanced, though flavors differed between orders * Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea (5/5): Ordered at 50% sweetness and it was perfect Appetizers * Popcorn Chicken (3/5): Good flavor and sauce, but wasn't hot (more room temp) so didn't feel very fresh. * Chili Garlic Edamame (5/5): Excellent flavor * Spicy Chili Gyoza (4/5): Good spice, slightly underwhelming overall * Pork & Chicken Bao Buns (2/5): Looked great but lacked flavor Entrées * Pork Tonkatsu Omurice w/ Curry (3/5): Fun presentation, but under-seasoned and bland curry * Korean Kimchi Ramen (3/5): Tasty but much spicier than expected * Chicken Ramen (4/5): Delicious broth, chicken seasoning fell flat * Kyushu Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen (4.5/5): Great spice level, tender and flavorful pork * Katsuobushi Pork Ramen (4/5): Strong flavor, spice was overpowering for me -- pork belly was excellent (and yes, it looks like it's moving ) Dessert * Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly (2/5): Very floral and perfumey -- essentially fancy jello; not for everyone Overall: Stylish space, good ramen options, and a fun experience. Worth trying once, especially for the ambiance, but not everything was a hit. For the cost there, I would expect the experience to feel slightly more elevated than it did, so overall would give it 3/5 stars.
I found this place on Tiktok, and was really excited to try the omurice! I had had it while visiting Japan, and was really looking forward to eating it again here in the US. Walking in, the restaurant was VERY cute - the honeycomb booths and overall decor are gorgeous! I also love that they're connected to Tbaar next door, and that you get an entire boba menu that you can order from as you eat! We got the omurice combo that came with a pork cutlet and dessert, the creamy udon, and a bowl of ramen. The omurice was definitely the best thing we had; the omelet was perfectly runny, the rice underneath flavored, and there were different sauce and dessert options to have with it, so it was a great experience! The servers also make a show of cutting into the omelet, which made the whole thing very fun. The udon was yummy, too; I thought the plating was very pretty and that the flavor was good, but it was closer to a soup than a pasta (which I had mistakenly assumed it would be since they called it creamy). The ramen was also some of the best I've had here in Cleveland! Really, the only reason I'm rating it a 4/5 is because they use A LOT of MSG in their food. I'm usually not too bothered by it, but it was to the point that my tongue was numb by the time I finished eating my udon. That being said, the food was still good! Service was pretty fast for us, though I heard from a friend it really depends on your server; we sat at the ramen bar and were some of the only people in the restaurant so service was quick, but my friend said she visited another day and waited ~30 min for her server to come back and take her food order! Overall, I'd definitely come back for the omurice and whenever I'm craving ramen!!

The details are beautiful and fun, and there are booths and private dining rooms that are great for smaller groups. The space is overall clean, new, and comfortable The food options were fantastic and we loved that we could also order milk tea from TBaar which is also inside the restaurant. Portion sizes were good too! The service was excellent as well- we really appreciated our server, Wade who was friendly and helpful! Would definitely come again.
My best friend took me here for my birthday. She has been many times, but it was my first time and I was so blown away by the tactile experience. I know it's a Ramen bar, but I had to get the omurice. Our wonderful waiter told us this is the only place in Ohio that does the omurice. We both chose the Demi glaze for our omurice, the other option is a Curry sauce, which I'm sure is amazing too. I also got a tofu skewer and the texture was phenomenal! And the zucchini skewer, yummy! They don't have coffee bubble tea but I got black milk tea with boba. We got there early on a Sunday morning so we had prime choice of seating, a private, oaky honeycomb booth. I had a lot of questions but our server knew and kindly helped and answered them all. The omurice came with a dessert too. Shockingly, they are both made with pork gelatin so fyi if you avoid pork or vegan/vegetarian. I tried the cherry blossom jelly and loved the citron and lychee sauce that went over it the most! I want to take everyone I love here! Great experience
Came here for my second time and this time I took my parents! The saddest part was my discovery that no one is allowed to sit in the upper level of the honeycomb bc they don't have a permit for it. Waaaaaaahhhh. We got another one of those booths and it was cozy and cute in the winter time! My parents could read the Chinese/kanji words on each booth and they were the major cities of Japan--cute! I got the donburi braised pork bowl and the presentation was super cute! But it was too covered in mayo and sweet sauce and it came lukewarm to cold temperature wise. My mom got the pork belly tonkotsu ramen and loved it. Dad got the omurice combo with pork katsu. He liked it. He chose the sakura jelly as dessert and we were all disappointed that it was just a guo dong hahahaha. But cute looking. Our server was very nice but service was very slow again. We came during subzero temperatures so there weren't many people but we were happy they were open!
This place was a tiktok find and we were disappointed. The seating is a mess unless you're sitting in a honeycomb, it's very uncomfortable, and the music is insanely loud. The prices are close to fine dining prices but the place doesn't fit that. Under the napkin and spice displays it had old soup. Spices were spilled all over the place, and I looked around when I was seated and was going to ask for a different table but noticed this was the norm. Kids taking our order took a while. Refills were slow coming. We ordered ramen and the omelet. Ramen was the Katsuobushi Pork bowl. Ramen, pork and egg all cooked perfectly but the bamboo shoots were underdone, too dente to eat. Biting into one of them put me off the meal from there so we switched. The Poek Tonkatsu Omurice combo is essentially an omelet on rice, with a pork fried cutlet over it. It was AMAZING. And it would have been better had they brought out the lemonade that came with the meal, but didn't. And nobody showed up until we were done to give it to us, so while we tried it and we found it to be the best thing there the service was an absolute mess. Two stars for one amazing dish and a neat seating setup if you get into the probably more quiet honeycomb seats but overall a big miss.
Was so excited to have more Japanese food in the greater Cleveland area! The decor is so pretty and does feel authentic. Ramen is filling with all the classic fixings but I did feel that the spicy flavor seemed more related to Chinese than Japanese but that's just me being picky. Popcorn chicken had fantastic seasoning but I do wish it was a tad crispier. Food came out super fast despite being super busy. Come expecting to wait because this place is currently quite popular!
Came to dinner with my family on a Sunday and it was busy but we were able to get seated. Staff was all very friendly. My husband got the curry ramen and it was exactly that, curry! Very interesting, but good. I got the Sapporo, it was good but think I want to try something else next time.
Relative to other places in the greater Cleveland area, this place is a gem. Around a 40 minute wait for 2 people on a Sunday evening. This place is definitely busy as ever, but the service was good. The ramen was flavorful, and the chashu pieces were huge. Only complaint I'd have is that the popcorn chicken is a little small for the price. Interior of the restaurant is super pretty, and the boba store is a great addition to the restaurant. We got a grapefruit fruit tea and a peach green tea with cheese foam, both of which were good. Would come back.
This is my second time here and luckily, I didn't have to wait long to be seated. They do have a reservation system in place where you can put your name down upon arrival. The service is quick- soon after ordering, our food came out. The karaage is even better with the spices that were available at our table (and won't need the dipping sauce!). The ramen flavor is what I anticipated and there's an option to add extra toppings if desired. There are private booths available, along with the honeycomb seating (upper honeycomb seating was not yet available for my party).

The booths are adorable! It's like you get a little bit of privacy with a little curtain. They have edamame with spicy chili oil, it's really delicious. I got vegetable Ramen and it was so savory and the vegetables were green and crisp and noodles were well cooked. Our server was nice, patient, and attentive. The other staff was helpful as well. When I got up to go look for a to go container, I couldn't find anybody because it was getting ready to close. Eventually, the person I found was back of the house, but he still helped me and got me the containers that I needed with no problem. read more
Visited this Ramen shop at SouthPark Mall recently. I requested their most popular non-spicy ramen bowl. They suggested a #1, so that's what I got. They prepared it within five minutes and I took it to go. I was not expecting the non-biodegradable bag, but it was beautiful. I felt bad throwing it away. But since I won't be returning to this place anytime soon and I have more reusable grocery bags than you can shake a stick at, I went ahead and tossed it. The ramen was good. I feel like the broth wasn't too salty, but perhaps could use a little more flavor. I think it was a healthy dish, but needed something extra in the umami department. I'll try a different bowl next time, if there is a next time. They did not skimp on the interior design of the place. It is beautiful. If you're into aesthetics, you'll like this restaurant. I felt drawn to the nice booths they had. I wanted to dine in one of those booths. Very cool. The staff was very friendly. read more
I first tried Kyuramen last year while celebrating my graduation, and I've been back several times since. I've seen mixed reviews about the ramen, but I actually really enjoy the vegetarian ramen. That said, it's the appetizers that keep me coming back! The deep fried dumplings are my absolute favorite. Anytime I'm in the area, I have to stop by for an order (or two lol) of those alone. The fried tofu is also some of the best I've had. It's incredibly flavorful, which is impressive because tofu can sometimes be a bit bland. Theirs is anything but! As you can see from my photos, I usually end up ordering a variety of appetizers because they're truly the stars of the menu. I also highly recommend the Amazing Lemonade! It's refreshing and the perfect pairing with the meal. The service has always been wonderful. The staff is warm, attentive, and consistently provides a great dining experience. On top of that, the restaurant itself has a beautiful aesthetic that makes it an enjoyable place to dine. Overall, Kyuramen has become one of my favorite additions to the Strongsville area, and it's a place I'll happily continue coming back to. read more

I am an old guy. I have lived in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Boston. I have eaten Ramen all over the country. I was literally shocked by how great this restaurant was. It is, without question, the best Ramen I've ever had. I was not expecting that in Strongsville, Ohio. read more

Came in around 7:30pm on opening day with a half hour wait. The restaurant has both open seating and private booth sittings. The booths are shuttered in the back and separated from the hall with curtains. The iconic honeycomb booths are along the side wall. Was seated very quickly by a wonderful server (shoutout to Cho!). Highlights included the popcorn chicken, and Kyushu spicy ramen. The spice levels are pretty authentic, with the katshuboshi pork ramen having quite a kick (similar if not spicier than the "spicy" level of the Kyushu ramen). read more

I recently came here with a friend for lunch it was so cute inside! We had a little bit of a wait, but that was OK because we ordered Boba tea from their counter to drink while we were waiting. I love strawberry popping Boba, which is hard to find, but they had it here. When we were seated, we were given our own private sitting area, which was so cute! I chose for my meal combo, which comes with Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen with steamed pork bao bun. The ramen comes with chashu pork, half of a soft boiled, corn, bamboo shoots, wakame, scallion, and nori in pork broth. I had mine ramen made spicy - and it was! It was extremely delicious. I loved the pork bao bun as well. There was so much food I ended up taking some home. The service was great - our waitress made sure we understood what everything was and that we got exactly what we were hoping for. This was such a fun and delicious spot. The food, service, and ambiance were amazing! We sat in a private booth and it was cozy and relaxing. The service was well paced and very attentive. We had the omurice, yakitori skewers, spicy cucumbers, and three types of ramen. We've been looking for a local omurice place, as it's so hard to find in the Midwest and for it to be done well. This place did it perfectly, which is extremely difficult. The flavors and seasoning for all the dishes were spot on. We especially loved the spicy sauce on the cucumbers. The vegetable ramen was remarkable because the vegetable noodles were some of the best noodles I've ever had. My husband and son got the spicy tonkatsu and the chasu was perfectly charred. Came here on a Wednesday during lunch time to get the katshobushi ramen with takoyaki lunch special. Overall food was good, noodle was nice and chewy. A little spicy but was good. The Takoyaki was a good size, had a decent amount of octopus in it. The decor in here looks great, love the private rooms which I planned to come back with friends. Not a bad experience. Cannot sit in the honeycombs at the top yet. The food was ok. I really LOVED the amazing lemonade. I would buy a this by the gallons if they sold it. The person I went with ordered ramen and was satisfied stating it was flavorful and delicious. I ordered the omurice. It was ok, not mind blowing but not horrible. I would order something else next time. I went around dinner time and it was packed and loud, would like to give this place another try around lunch time. read more

I had a taste for Ramen tonight. So I found this place on Yelp. I decided to drive over and see what it's all about. Just walking in I knew this place was not the same as other Ramen restaurants. They have a fake tree inside where the customer makes up personalized little wooden plaques. That's awesome. I ordered a drink from the attached TBaar. I ordered the passion fruit tea. And it was delicious. The ramen bowl I ordered was the number 2. It was presented beautifully. I was very please just with my eyes looking at it. It has pork belly slices on it along with what I believe to be finely sliced tuna slices. The tuna caught me off guard. Because as I looked at it. It was moving. I was shocked and was honestly freaked out. I ended up googling what was going on. And found out that is normal for the slices to contract in heat. But it was interesting. I did take a video to share. The flavor profile was great. And the heat in the broth was not bad at all. I can't wait to come back and try something else. My waiter and as a matter of fact the whole staff was very friendly. I was greeted with a smile and thanked when I left. read more

Came for dinner on opening night and it was a 25min wait to get seated - ladies the check-in were very nice and patiently explained the efficient electronic waitlist process they have - so you can go and get a boba tea drink next door at tbaar or shop in the mall as you await the text notifying if you're table is ready. Service is TOP TIER - big kudos to Cho for being the best server - had great recommendations about the menu, super kind and approachable, and didn't crumble under pressure when we asked if we can video her cutting the omurice! WHAT WE ORDERED (we've been to Kyuramen once before in Indianapolis) - Popcorn chicken: this is a traditional Taiwanese appetizer, and the color was a bit light, but the flavor and sauce hit the marks. Basil on top could be crispier. Recommend putting some of their spicy powder on the side of the table on top of it for added flavor. - Omurice combo: it only existed as a combo when we went, so we got the omurice with curry (which is a sweeter curry if you're not familiar with Japanese curries. I would try the demiglace sauce next time as that's what I've seen with omurice traditionally). The Thai ice tea was perfect with it! - Kyushu spicy tonkotsu ramen - we chose what we thought were the 2 most popular bowls. Really great depth of flavor and tender chashu pork - Katshuboshi spicy ramen - definitely has a spice kick (more than I anticipated but tolerable), but incredibly rich broth and I'll take their pork belly over chashu pork any day (although both are great!) Fire alarm rang while we were waiting, but the manager was swift and proactive in figuring out that it was an alarm triggered by something inside the mall and comfortably assuring us that business as usual can continue within the restaurant. The aesthetic is super unique to this chain, which cultural aspect and booths in interesting hexagonal architecture with good lighting. They also have authentic private booths in the back where you and your party can immerse yourself in a private ramen experience instead of being out in the open (no extra charge or anything, just different type of seating!) The location is right outside/attached to the mall so the mall parking is plentiful. read more

Good restaurant but does not live up to the hype. 1 hour wait for just myself on a 6:50 PM Sunday evening is a bit excessive, especially considering the mall closes at 6 PM. Inside has a very light pleasant atmosphere, many excited diners eating so all good there. Food wise, I ordered the A1 Combo. It came with Tonkotsu ramen, a pork bao, and a green matcha dessert. Pork bao was good but only 1 piece of pork for a $5 bun is ridiculous, way too overpriced. Ramen at $18 is also pricey and even with extra noodle and meat add ons for additional +6 , portion felt too small. Not to mention the extra meat was cold and super thinly sliced. Ramen also had too much garlic flavor and the bowl wasn't even full with soup. Tastes 10% better for 50% more cost. NOT worth it. My $26 ramen bowl can be had in local places with bigger portions for $14. Dessert was good though but again tiny portion for a $5 price. Overall this place feels like a hype place. You definitely pay for the ambiance and reputation, everything is plated fancy but portions are small and expensive. For a one and done, it's alright, try it once for yourself. But I will not be driving an hour to eat here again. And not to mention they expect a really high tip for basically minimal table service. read more
