My best friend took me here for my birthday. She has been many times, but it was my first time and I was so blown away by the tactile experience. I know it's a Ramen bar, but I had to get the omurice. Our wonderful waiter told us this is the only place in Ohio that does the omurice. We both chose the Demi glaze for our omurice, the other option is a Curry sauce, which I'm sure is amazing too. I also got a tofu skewer and the texture was phenomenal! And the zucchini skewer, yummy! They don't have coffee bubble tea but I got black milk tea with boba. We got there early on a Sunday morning so we had prime choice of seating, a private, oaky honeycomb booth. I had a lot of questions but our server knew and kindly helped and answered them all. The omurice came with a dessert too. Shockingly, they are both made with pork gelatin so fyi if you avoid pork or vegan/vegetarian. The interior design was so cool! It's definitely a great place for trendy pics. There's a wooden tree made up of notes by customers that you can contribute to, a beehive-looking seating alongside the wall. The food was not that great, as most of the things we tried were bland. The ramen was flavorful though! I will say the broths were very oily but tasty nonetheless. I got the creamy udon noodles and found the sauce texturally great but missing flavor. When you've been to Japan and had authentic ramen, it's pretty hard to go back to America and eat mediocre ramen, which is what Kyuramen was for me. I thought the spicy tonkatsu ramen I ordered was overpriced at $17.99 There were maybe 2 slices of paper thin chashu, corn and bamboo shoots. All of these ingredients are budget friendly so I'm really not sure why it's almost $20 for a bowl of pork ramen that lacked depth and flavor and it was super salty The Shin ramen and Neoguri ramen that I make at home tastes better than this I work downtown so I usually get my ramen fix at Otani-they do a better job there and the price is much better read more

Great authentic ramen, wish we had one closer! The presentation for dishes were nice, especially the cutting of the omurice. The popcorn chicken karaage fell a bit flat compared to ones in Japan, but if you sell it as popcorn chicken, then it's fine I guess. I do wish that were more authentic, but I was very happy to find a good ramen broth in NE Ohio! I wish they had more don/rice dishes, as there were more listed on the online menu. Beautiful interior and a fun dining experience overall. We came around 3:30 PM on a Sunday and waited about 30-40 minutes, which makes sense given it's a newer spot with little competition nearby. We chose to wait a bit longer for a honeycomb booth and it was 100% worth it being quiet, cozy, and great for actually enjoying your meal without feeling crowded. Our group of five ordered 4 appetizers, 5 entrées, and 1 dessert. Food came out quickly overall, but there was a mix-up with the bao buns (two pork instead of one pork and one chicken). Staff handled it kindly, but the replacement chicken bao didn't arrive until we were already halfway through our entrées, which was disappointing and we weren't really able to enjoy it. We had the omurice, yakitori skewers, spicy cucumbers, and three types of ramen. We've been looking for a local omurice place, as it's so hard to find in the Midwest and for it to be done well. I found this place on Tiktok, and was really excited to try the omurice! I had had it while visiting Japan, and was really looking forward to eating it again here in the US. I also love that they're connected to Tbaar next door, and that you get an entire boba menu that you can order from as you eat! We got the omurice combo that came with a pork cutlet and dessert, the creamy udon, and a bowl of ramen. The omurice was definitely the best thing we had; the omelet was perfectly runny, the rice underneath flavored, and there were different sauce and dessert options to have with it, so it was a great experience! The servers also make a show of cutting into the omelet, which made the whole thing very fun. The udon was yummy, too; I thought the plating was very pretty and that the flavor was good, but it was closer to a soup than a pasta (which I had mistakenly assumed it would be since they called it creamy). Came here for my second time and this time I took my parents! The saddest part was my discovery that no one is allowed to sit in the upper level of the honeycomb bc they don't have a permit for it. Waaaaaaahhhh. We got another one of those booths and it was cozy and cute in the winter time! This place was a tiktok find and we were disappointed. The seating is a mess unless you're sitting in a honeycomb, it's very uncomfortable, and the music is insanely loud. The prices are close to fine dining prices but the place doesn't fit that. Under the napkin and spice displays it had old soup. Biting into one of them put me off the meal from there so we switched. The Poek Tonkatsu Omurice combo is essentially an omelet on rice, with a pork fried cutlet over it. It was AMAZING. And it would have been better had they brought out the lemonade that came with the meal, but didn't. And nobody showed up until we were done to give it to us, so while we tried it and we found it to be the best thing there the service was an absolute mess. We went here with friends for our first time and came out getting gaslit over food, charged incorrectly, wasn't served the correct amount of utensils, and had the chefs and cooks staring at us uncomfortably. My girlfriend and I got chicken baos and our friends got pork baos, the first order that came out was pork baos, served by another server) so our friends (who have been here before) ate them, when their second appetizer came out alongside another order of pork bao buns. We told our server we are missing the chicken baos, and then this is when the chefs started giving us dirty looks the entire rest of the night. The pork and chicken ones did not look the same and it was obviously pork. We gave her grace thinking she was just told to do what the staff said but then she decided to incorrectly charge us the wrong amount, since we were never showed what I was paying for. Came for dinner on opening night and it was a 25min wait to get seated - ladies the check-in were very nice and patiently explained the efficient electronic waitlist process they have - so you can go and get a boba tea drink next door at tbaar or shop in the mall as you await the text notifying if you're table is ready. Service is TOP TIER - big kudos to Cho for being the best server - had great recommendations about the menu, super kind and approachable, and didn't crumble under pressure when we asked if we can video her cutting the omurice! WHAT WE ORDERED (we've been to Kyuramen once before in Indianapolis) - Popcorn chicken: this is a traditional Taiwanese appetizer, and the color was a bit light, but the flavor and sauce hit the marks. Basil on top could be crispier. Recommend putting some of their spicy powder on the side of the table on top of it for added flavor. - Omurice combo: it only existed as a combo when we went, so we got the omurice with curry (which is a sweeter curry if you're not familiar with Japanese curries. I would try the demiglace sauce next time as that's what I've seen with omurice traditionally). The Thai ice tea was perfect with it! - Kyushu spicy tonkotsu ramen - we chose what we thought were the 2 most popular bowls. Really great depth of flavor and tender chashu pork - Katshuboshi spicy ramen - definitely has a spice kick (more than I anticipated but tolerable), but incredibly rich broth and I'll take their pork belly over chashu pork any day (although both are great!) Ramen at $18 is also pricey and even with extra noodle and meat add ons for additional +6 , portion felt too small. Not to mention the extra meat was cold and super thinly sliced. Ramen also had too much garlic flavor and the bowl wasn't even full with soup. Tastes 10% better for 50% more cost. NOT worth it. My $26 ramen bowl can be had in local places with bigger portions for $14. Dessert was good though but again tiny portion for a $5 price. Overall this place feels like a hype place. You definitely pay for the ambiance and reputation, everything is plated fancy but portions are small and expensive. For a one and done, it's alright, try it once for yourself. Bao buns had a few strings of pork, not sure if they were running out by 8pm but mostly bun. Pan fried gyoza were not cooked well, very pale and limp. Ramen tasted great, good portion and noodles were cooked perfectly. Also tried fruit boba tea while waiting. One of these things caused food poisoning. Both my husband and I got sick. Kyuramen has finally opened in Strongsville. I stopped by to check it out around 11:30 am to see if we needed reservations and if there was a long wait for dinner. I was told they don't take reservations and they are not real busy at dinner time. We showed up at .5:00 pm and were #40 on the wait list kiosk where you check-in when you arrive. It didn't say how long a wait but we were able to see how many parties were ahead of us, which was 14 when we arrived. After over one hour wait we were escorted to our private dining area that was a draped table with room for at least 6 people but we only had 2 so very roomy. We waited another 10 minutes before a Server took our order consisting of the Combo B (Ramen + drinks, popcorn chicken and and dessert for 2) and fried oysters. All the food was delicious and cooked perfectly. It took awhile to get our Ramen and they brought our dessert way before the Ramen but our Server was very apologetic about the wait and we even won a "free" Ramen on our next visit. Got carry out this past Sunday. This restaurant currently does not do carry out orders over the phone, so you have to walk-in, place your order, and also stay and wait at the restaurant because there is no phone communication alert that your order is ready. This is slightly inconvenient given it is located in a shopping mall so it would be ideal to be able to walk around and wait for the food to be ready. Hopefully as this restaurant gets more tenured, they'll be adding those capabilities. As far as the food, we got tonkatsu ramen + the curry katsu ramen and they both were flavorful.
