Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box $18.95

Checked the reviews so decided to have dinner here. We are just passing in the area and this place was 4 stars. Could be just the area but this is the first "Japanese" restaurant that serves shumai and egg rolls which are Chinese. The whole box was disappointing. The chicken portion was small as well as the California rolls. This is the kind of food I would expect at a fast food restaurant and not at a dine in. The salad was wilted and can be seen on the lettuce leaves being a darker color. The miso soup was just warm and should have been hot. The only plus in this place was our server was great. Kudos to the owner for charging a premium price for mediocre food. Not that it makes a difference but I don't think no one here were even Japanese.

Great sushi! Some of the best we ever had. Also, entertaining hibachi chefs that I noticed even though we didn't eat hibachi. The decor was nice, contemporary and clean. Service was good.

Strange that a nice place like this spoils the ambiance, by wheeling a grey trolley that looks like it belongs in a hospital or prison, between tables of diners. Full of dirty dishes and left overs. Food is good, mackerel sashimi was not well cut and chewy. But hibachi was good, calamari crisp and fresh. We were left with our dirty plates and the bill as the trolley was busy for a while. But bearing in mind geography it was welcome..

Delicious sushi and great service, especially in a small city! Craft martinis were great, too.

The service is always casual, never hurried. Food continues to be good but the portion sizes seem to be deminishing.

My fav is the steak medallions with the grilled veggies. Right off the interstate, it is a very convenient place to stop for a quick and really good meal. 100% recommend whether you are a local, traveler, or here for work.

Visually, it's a great spot--beautiful inside and out, an amazing patio, lots of TVs, and an impressive bar with 48 beers on tap plus beer flights. Unfortunately, during our visit, both the food and service fell short. We started with the pork belly bites. They were okay, but the texture wasn't what we're used to--we typically prefer them cooked a bit more. We also ordered the crab cakes, which came as three large pieces on a bed of lettuce (basically a big house salad). After a few bites, we realized they were ice cold. We let the bartender know and they were sent back, but they came out ice cold again. To their credit, they removed the item from our bill, which we appreciated. We then ordered a burger. The patty was very thick and had potential, but the fries were ice cold. Service slowed at this point--it took a long time to get ketchup or any follow-up. We noticed staff eating in a booth behind us while two employees behind the bar appeared busy, which was disappointing. The beer selection is excellent, but my Dirty Shirley tasted off. I switched to a Tito's and Sprite, but it still didn't taste right--likely flat soda that hadn't been changed. Overall, the patio and beer selection are highlights, but the execution on food and service missed the mark on this visit. Based on this experience, I'd give it 2 stars. Glad I didn't order the steak, as I think I would have been disappointed. -- Foodie99

The ribs on bone were tender and tasty, the pulled pork a bit dry but flavorful, the brisket was good, but the bread that it was served on was dried out and crunchy. Unfortunately, that decision turned into a very negative experience. Our server was initially pleasant, but that quickly changed. After paying my tab using my phone, I placed it on the table while continuing to play billiards. When I returned, my phone was gone. Using Find My iPhone, I could see that the device was still located inside the restaurant. I asked the server if she had seen my phone, but she denied any knowledge of it and stated that no one had found a phone--despite the tracker clearly indicating it was there. The following day, I returned in hopes that someone had turned it in. When I approached the same server, she appeared extremely nervous, repeatedly using profanity and running into the kitchen before returning and attempting to change the subject. When I again asked about my phone, I received the same denial. I ultimately left feeling defeated. As a solo traveler, losing my phone caused significant stress--I was unable to access flight information, order transportation, or contact family. All of this occurred over a cracked iPhone that is unusable once reported lost or stolen. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing and left a very poor impression.
