Pretty average buffet. Had an early lunch, mostly like the seafoods at Chinese buffet spots, but this didnt seem to do much in that way. Soe boiled shrimp, found a shrimp/veg dish, and thought we had stuffed mushrooms [a favorite]--- BUT it was stuffed little potatoes!! A SHOCKER!! AN "ok" experience, but not likely to return, will look for a superior selection in town if possible. read more

The cheese seafood dish was awful and cold. I tried to talk to the Mgr about it, but she argued with me. I hope my friend and I get sick. They also refused to take it off the buffet to temp it. read more

I was in town to pick someone up at the airport and they were delayed, so I decided to come here and wait it out. I read the reviews prior and still decided to give it a shot--even though many reviews were old. Indeed, the food was cold. I read it in the reviews and could not fathom this being true. It wasn't just like warm, it was cold. The crab Rangoon had a nice flavor, but it was room temp at best. I looked around the room as I dined, taking it all in and at least three people left after a single plate. No one comes to a $15 buffet (with tip) to eat a single plate--they were not pleased. A larger man came in alone shortly after me and he was here all of five minutes before paying. I went back several times to try and find something to praise. The soup was tasty and it was also hot. So was the white fish. EVERYTHING else I had was ice. The service was good, though a little "hovery". It was not busy, however. The fortune cookie was crisp, but alas did not contain an actual fortune--just a proverb. I won't be returning and I'd steer clear. Panda Express is garbage, but at least it's hot, and it's right across the street. read more

I / my family have had good luck with this place. I go about 4-6 x / year. Good food, warm, fresh, and filling. If they have a pan that is empty or needs "Freshened", I simply ask them to do it--and 4 mins later--it's freshened and hot. They point to it--and say "Anything else"? ( Nope--"She-She!") Occasionally, they are "out" of an item--but it's pretty rare. Glasses are kept full. Best times for service and full pans, are around 5-6 pm and 8:30-10 PM. I was starving and wanted a lot of food. Someone else was paying, with the little sticky coupons that come on top of your morning paper. The first thing I hit on was the little pigs-in-a-blanket. Now that's hardly Chinese. But that is when a little disengagement is helpful. Bar from your mind the dim sums in San Francisco and Vancouver, what you learned about wok cooking many years ago...just think of it what it is, and that is a buffet. And for what it is, it is pretty good. Above what I have experienced in the past, and hell the staff is friendly too. No I would not take Jacque Pepin here, but he ain't having me over to his house in Madison, Connecticut either. Maybe my uncle Clem from outta town, he would like it. This place is always busy. The chicken offerings were fresh, the seafood (salmon and scallops) not bad for a buffet, the beef and brocolli good. We decided to give Buffet House a second chance after a disgusting, cold food experience a couple years ago when we said we would never return. We were greeted right away and taken to our table. After the server brought our drinks, they only returned one other time during our entire meal. The egg drop and wonton soup was delicious, however most of the trays on the buffet had old, stale food in them. The selection was also very limited. First time the food was like Ordering an Omaha choice steak and getting top round road kill yet still paying top dollar for it. If you want graze and eat all you can eat grass.. GO for it. My wife and I have lived in many different places, and we always have enjoined American Chinese food. When we walk into a buffet, were looking for a couple of things: 1 the atmosphere; 2 the variety of food available; 3 quality of the food (taste, is it warm etc); 4; other specials like a hibachi grill; and 5, the service (both server and price). The China buffet is located in a strip mall. While the decor would be considered average for your typical Chinese buffet, everything else was quite bad. The food was cool to the taste. The selection was very small, and no duck sauce was available. My wife described her general tso's chicken as mealy. My chicken was very bland, and as I mentioned before, it was quite obvious all the food had been sitting out for a long time due to the temperature. The waitress was nice and attentive to our needs, however that does not change the fact we were eating low grade dog food. With that said, we did not get a chance to sample everything offered, so perhaps others will have a different experience. Nevertheless, when my wife and I left there, we both turned to each other and said we would never return. read more

visiting the town i grew up in and met an old friend in town for catch up dinner- we made it here by default- the thai restaurant was closed on mondays- still it was good as i'd been recommended by family- the dining room is nice, server was very friendly and attentive. my friend loved her shrimp dish and we both loved the general tso's chicken and sweet and sour sauce was perfect. the vegetable lo mein was also excellent as were the crab rangoon. we should have passed on the egg rolls. in all one of the better chinese dinners i've had both here and in Kansas city! read more

My family stopped here for lunch on our drive across Nebraska. It was a cold day and the warm soup and food really hit the spot. The service is friendly. What really impressed me was the sushi buffet--mackarel, salmon, octopus,eel,shrimp and a variety of sushi rolls. It was all delicious. Normally my exprience is good,but, the last 2 visits were not pleasant. First time the food was cold at 11:30. But today 4/25/2013. The food was good. There was a server who was mad about something,dont know what cause we couldnt understand her. Her voice kept getting louder&louder.It was to the point where my friend&I couldnt hear each other. I said excuse me thats when she turned & glared & in a loud voice said"What" We tried to explain that the loudness was distrubing our meal& then the rest of the time she glared at us.
