Ate dinner here on the recommendation of a hostess at a nearby restaurant in Lisbon…read more We had dinner on a Monday night at 8:30. The decor is really beautiful. Two levels with open, high ceilings. The hostess and waitstaff are all very friendly. Seating is tight for two tops. There's an open kitchen which is always a nice touch. We shared three plates. The scallop sashimi, the green curry with assorted fish with a side dish of rice and slivered almonds and the tempura octopus with panko. All the dishes were good. The scallop was missing a bit of acid. The octopus was cooked very well. The green curry a bit underwhelming. By the time we left, the restaurant was packed. You get the bill and have to take it with you to the front to pay with the hostess. No AMEX.

Without a reservation, they were able to get us a table l and also gave us a tour of their dragon, rhino and each section of the restaurant. The bang bang chicken tasted more along the lines of a peanut sauce (similar to pad thai) and wasn't spicy, but still delicious! I could have easily made a meal solely eating 3-4 of these. The piri piri chicken was cooked perfect! The yogurt sauce, rice and onions all gave it a Mediterranean feel, and the bread/tortillas went great with it.

Discovered JNcQUIO Asia - easier to get reservations last minute at Asia instead of Avenida. The room was beautiful - I loved the decor - so imaginative with the dragon skeleton hanging from the ceiling. Ordered the truffle naan, crab on wonton, spring rolls, crispy duck salad and fried rice. The flavors were there, but the duck salad had way too much cilantro so I had to pick it all out. It was my birthday celebration and I received the hazelnut biscuit - delicious! Service was very strange - one waiter took the order and I never saw him again. Another server brought the food and he actually spent time to explain the food and presented the birthday dessert.
