Needing a place to dive in out of the weather, Polpeor Cafe, was perfect, spectacular views from the outside seating, and a split level cafe inside. We managed to grab one of the last tables by the kitchen and perused what was quite a comprehensive menu, from snacks like sandwiches, to jacket potatoes with a full salad, to more substantial meals like pies, burgers and many fish dishes. We opted for an Egg Mayonnaise sandwich to share and a tea cake, with accompanying Earl Grey tea. The food and drinks arrived very quickly and although essentially snacks were some of the nicest food we had on our holiday, the egg sandwich being particularly good, with its accompanying fresh salad. Lots of tempting cakes and meringues for afters too, but we resisted. A fantastic cafe with great food, superb service, with a truly stunning backdrop, five stars every time!

The front garden of the farm cottage is set out with chairs & tables and a small cabin to sit in if inclement. We we're not the only people there. Sue the owner served us the nicest home made scones, a huge pot of jam & cream. The tea was more than plenty for 4 people to have a couple of cups & the taste was delicious. A well deserved 5 stars for this establishment for service, friendliness & price.
