There are not enough, complementary words to explain how amazing my experience with emerald tattoo…read morehas been. From the very beginning, Carmen is the most sweetest, thoughtful and responsive individual that manages the waiting area, making and booking appointments, returning phone calls, and text messages. Etc. she has the most infectious, joyful energy, which made my experience even better. This piece was a tribute to my Dad who has just very sadly passed away. My artist Chloe made me feel safe, comfortable and heard. She let me explain every single detail of this very elaborate tattoo and what it meant to me and she brought all of it to Life! She even lifted my dad's handwriting, one word was not legible, and she was able to take letters from other parts He wrote to complete the sentence that was part of the tattoo. Her attention to detail is like none other with more than reasonable pricing! I have had several people ask me where I got this tattoo. I can't recommend Chloe more, especially when this was a piece so meaningful and sentimental to me. She made the whole experience so pleasant and fun, that I honestly forgot that I was being tattooed and it ended up feeling more like visiting and at certain points venting to an old friend that I've known for years and at times even a therapist lol. If you have any doubts on where to go for your piercings or tattoos, emerald is definitely the place! Ask for Chloe, and make sure to tell Carmen how much she is appreciated because she busts her butt with so much patience, even when the room is full of people on any given night. Quality, professionalism, very fair pricing, clean, what more can I say? This experience was amazing for me!

She found out that it was actually inside my skin. She noticed that the back piece I had was way too small so she took off that piece and put a longer one because my skin was swollen and bleeding. She said it was because my piecing didn't go in straight so it irritated my skin. Luckily she fixed it and assured me that I just need to clean with saline. This place only takes cash but they do have an ATM. Unfortunately there is a $2.75 fee to take out cash. I done within 20-30 mins. I paid $15 since I had to replace the back piece or the rod. They very helpful.

We all know getting a tattoo can be a fun way to express yourself, but sometimes people regret…read moretheir choices later. It's not uncommon for someone to want a cover-up tattoo because they weren't happy with their first one. All tattoo artists know that a cover-up often comes with a story behind it lol . My husband got a crazy tattoo when he was just 14 or 15. As he grew older, he realized he couldn't stand looking at that tattoo anymore. Lol and he has nice arms but he'll always keep them covered because of that damn tat. So, he decided it was time to get a cover-up. When you get a bad tat you realize how important it is to choose the right artist for the job. A good artist can turn a mistake into something beautiful. I started looking for tattoo shops for his cover-up While researching, I found Elk Grove Tattoos. Edger, the artist there, really impressed me right away with his work, I can admit lol I stalked his page for about a week watching all his dope work. I finally reached out to him and explained my husband janky tat. Edger mentioned he liked our last name so he threw some ideas out about peacocks. What he didn't know was ... he already gained my trust because I've seen his work so I set the date and he did his thang. The tattoo came out amazing it had a lot of detail my husband absolutely loves it, and the best part is that you would never guess it was a cover-up. Not every tattoo artist is comfortable doing cover-ups or working over someone else's designs, but Edger handled it perfectly, and I'm really glad I chose him for this project. Now that I've shared the backstory about the tattoo, I want to talk about something else that is very important to me--which is cleanliness of the shop. I use to be a first responder so this is deff a stickler for me, their space is very clean and well-organized, which makes me feel comfortable right away. The vibe of the shop is very family-oriented, and everyone is friendly and welcoming. The artists act professionally, and their positive energy creates a great atmosphere. I also took some time to check out other artists in the shop work on IG because I follow their Instagram page, and I was very impressed by their work as well. Each artist has a unique style, and honestly, you can't go wrong with anyone you choose. I like that , that's important to Edger to not just have artists but to have great artist. They all have amazing skills and a passion for what they do, which makes the whole experience even better. I truly believe that you will be happy with any artist at this shop; it's a place where quality and care come together beautifully. Recently, my husband just doubled back to get a touch-up on a tattoo he got from a different artist. As always Edgar, did his thang. Once my husband removed the plastic and it properly heals, I'll share an updated picture. His plan is to eventually create a full sleeve tattoo, so we wanted to start with the touch-ups first before adding more designs. It's exciting to see how everything will come together in the end! Not only is Stephan a talented tattoo artist, but he also draws and paints--his personal artwork is displayed throughout the shop, and you can feel the creativity in every corner. It's clear he's passionate about all forms of art. The shop, located off Hood Franklin Road, has a relaxed and creative vibe. Inside, there's a pool table, foosball, a mini t-shirt shop, and even karaoke! It felt more like a cool, welcoming space than a typical tattoo studio. Highly recommend--can't wait to go back and finish the full design.
