The line for this place was ridiculous, which is a good thing!!! I am glad I waited!!! I had the New Orleans which was salami, capicola, monterrey jack, olive tampenade, and a red wine sauce type thing. It. was. phenomenal. The bread was fantastic and the tampenade had a really great flavor. My dad had the Mexico without sour cream and said it was really great (and for my dad to say that about a sandwich without meat is extremely impressive!). My only problem with the food is that they kept running out while we were in line!!! haha :) But again, we were very happy with our sandwiches!!! Highly recommend!

I was excited to see that they have veggie dogs available, and the different topping combos sounded awesome. I ordered the Justice with a veggie dog (coleslaw, mustard and onion) and my fiancé ordered a Schnitzel (sauerkraut, mustard, onions) and a Tex (chili, cheddar, onions) with regular beef hot dogs. Mine came out with coleslaw and a pickle, and my veggie dog looked like it hadn't even touched the grill. Microwaved, maybe? It was only slightly warm in the middle. His dogs were also lukewarm at best, but they did have the right toppings. Two stars because it wasn't inedible, but I like my hot dogs hot.

It said the menu today is such n such ... but they had everything on their main menu. (I almost left but decided to ask about the menu)Also the hand written board said my sandwich included fries-no fries. The cashier was kind but clueless she didn't know there was a dry erase board menu . Also didn't offer me a sauce and when I asked for one she didn't have a lid for it. She kept rummaging around under the window and saying something about not having stuff. And also was not offering bags to large orders. Watched a young man juggling 3 foam containers with an additional soup looking container across the parking lot. I asked for a bag and she produced one after fiddling around. I do not feel too confident about returning.

During covid they used to be out in parking lots all over town. Post Covid looks like they have gone more the catering route. This is the first time in over a year I have seen them advertise on their FB page that the truck would be out. They have bbq pork n chicken, ribs, rib tips, baked beans, Mac n cheese. Sides all taste home made and really good. Add an additional $5 per side item and the side item portions are kinda small. They lose a star for me because I never know where they will be or what hours. Today was 10am until..Im not looking for bbq at 10am but I sent my other half out to pick it up for later. Sure, other hot dogs might be cheaper, but they only serve Koegel Vienna franks, produced in Flint, MI. Likewise, other potato chips might be more profitable to sell, but they only carry Ballreich's chips, made locally in Tiffin, OH. Now Al might not tell you where he gets some of his amazing ingredients, like the neon green relish that makes his Chi Dawg so authentically Chicago, but you can sure taste the quality difference! Our family has been running into the Weenie Dawgs cart for years, especially on weekends at Mary Jane Thurston State Park in Grand Rapids, or on Wednesdays at the Bowling Green farmer's market. As one might expect, we all have different favourites: mine is the Chi Dawg, my son loves the Juan Hot Mama Dawg with the spicy Koegel sausage, my wife prefers the Detroit Dawg, while one daughter goes with the vegetarian dawg and the other the Texas Dawg. So no matter your interest, Weenie Dawgs probably has a dog for you! PROS: very friendly staff, very good food, and reasonable prices CONS: being a food truck, they can be challenging to locate Overall I rate Weenie Dawgs as being Very Good, and look forward to finding them again!
