You…read moreprobably know almost all KT stores are laid out with a similar floor plan, there are a few different floor plans depending on the footprint of the store and when it was built. This store uses the very standard, older KT floor plan. When you go into the store, you'll get that feeling of Deja vu, which is exactly what the owners want you to feel. Karuba Coffee, Dunkers, doughnuts, and hot foods are straight back. Rest rooms? Take a left as you enter. You'll pass the no-fee ATMs on your left as you head for the rest rooms. (If you're a true Cheesehead you call those TYME machines.) Outside? You'll find unleaded regular, plus, and premium, E-85, and winterized diesel #2. Typical of Kwik Trip, the store is clean, the help friendly, and the shelves are well stocked including the hot food bar. If an item is missing, just ask, they'll make it up for you.

I was downtown for Notes at Night and feeling snackish. Sometimes I get Doritos from Joe's Bar, but the heat was really wearing me down and I needed something sweet. The donut poster at Golden Curry I had walked past so many times finally lured me in. I ordered 2 caramel donuts & 1 blueberry donut to share with my husband. We enjoyed the blueberry donut same as we would a Dunker-- but we LOVED the caramel ones! The dough is sooo thick and fluffy and the caramel icing is sooo sweet. Sometimes a donut can feel dry or not sweet enough, but these are truly delectable. I try to get one (or two!) every week. Since discovering the donuts, we've also tried the entrees at Golden Curry. The egg rolls are nice and crisp, not like the frozen ones from the grocery store. The chu chee shrimp is a real delight. The curry sauce is bursting with complexity and bold spices, and the vegetables are really soaked with the sauce. The portion sizes are definitely big enough to split with both people leaving feeling full. I also find the staff at Golden Curry to be friendly and attentive, treating each guest with urgency and courtesy, even on tiny orders like my little donuts :) I will definitely keep going back!

A little bit loud with construction going on, but one could just think of it as normal coffee house background noise? I got to chai latte. It was a little bit chaotic when I got there, so I forgot to tell them that I needed oat milk until the order had already been put into the system. The barista kindly said they would just go in for me. The guac and chips were simple but so well executed! Very creamy and dense guac. While the chips def taste more crisp than normal store bags. Plenty of space to social distance too! Parking is super easy. Definitely a place I will revisit!
