Instead, while in downtown Rochester, I decided to top my car's gas tank at this Holiday gas station. This Holiday is just off South Broadway. It's a nice, large gas station with pumps in the double digits. The convenience store looked massive! I didn't need to go in. I like when U.S. gas pumps accept Canadian credit cards. The one that I used did not prompt for a ZIP code. All went well. I simply had to insert it and enter my PIN. Holiday is affiliated with Cub Foods. I got prompted to enter my Cub rewards card. I don't have one, so I skipped that part. I was thrilled to have topped off my car's gas tank. The area around the gas pump that I used was clean and great. The only downside was that each pump has a screen that plays ads. Every one was saying something that it does get noisy. This gas station is spacious. A Rochester bus was parked off to the side, likely taking a break before going back on its regular route. It didn't block any vehicle coming in and out of this gas station. I had a pleasant experience. I'll need to check out the convenience store next time I'm here. (492)

The Eagle Store has everything one might need, whether you're local to Rochester, or if you're…read moretraveling. I came into this convenience store looking for some bottled water. They had the larger bottles of water for $1.25 each. Additionally, they have snacks, souvenirs, hair care, skincare, Tylenol, greeting cards, puzzles, books and magazines. Everything is very appropriately priced. I just didn't notice a lot of trial sized products, everything was full sized. If you happen to need something in Rochester, the Eagle Store will likely have it.

Heck, after they take their 95 yr old patriarch out for Sunday dinner, they come back to open the store for late arrivals to town that might need something last minute. It is the ONLY place I ever seen this and they get 10 stars from me for having it!!! 2nd: They have hand sanitizers at the pumps. How cool is that? I have never seen it either. As a public health professional I find both of these things completely fabulous! 3rd: This one most normal people will enjoy too. ;-) There is an entrance on both westbound Civic Center Drive as well as North and South bound 11th Ave NW. Not only are there entrances, but there are separate pump areas for each entrance, so coming in and out is quite easy. This was by far the cleanest gas station I have ever been to. So I went inside and asked cashier Ashley for assistance. She was able to scan the code and told me when it doesn't work at the pump for her dad, he keys in the code. I didn't know that was an option. Even more than her assistance... being a germaphob, I appreciated what she told me to press instead of touching my phone. I know... She charged us for a karuba gold and a 24 oz coffee. They said since we put a 1 oz shot in the cup that we have to pay for it. I understand that and shared with them I did but they wouldn't even let me grab the other cup that I payed for. So we left with one cup of 23 oz of cappuccino and 1 oz of espresso. 23oz was 2.29 and the one oz was 3.49 and was told that I did not pay for the karuba cup so I cannot get the cup. I believe that the lady in charge must've had a rough morning already even though it was 8am because she wanted to be the boss of the situation and not handle it correctly. They should go through a customer service course for how she was not able to resolve the situation.
