One of the better gas stations, but that means it's always busy…read more I've stopped at this gas station for years and am always very impressed with how they up keep it. It's easy to access off the feeder, and the parking lot is laid out in a way that helps reduce traffic. The mcdonalda here has its own drivethrough. It also has a big seating area and several ordering screens so you don't get stuck in a line. The restrooms are spacious and clean. I wish they had paper towels in addition to the air dryers but unfortunately they don't. The convenience store has all the usual things and some extra gift shopping items. They do now have electric car chargers ! However, they could use more gas pumps. They have a reasonable amount but here (more than other places) people will leave their car parked in a spot to go inside and there's often a wait. One of my favorite things (as someone who travels with dogs) is they have a lot of nice grassy areas not directly on the busy feeder road.

Made a pit stop here on my way to San Antonio. Needed clean bathrooms and a quick lil snack,…read moreluckily I was able to get both here. The bathrooms here were great! They were very clean, and there were plenty of stalls to use. I wanted to try a taco because why not? They ran out of the breakfast taco I wanted to try, so I opted for a Barbacoa taco with beans and pico de gallo. I was pleasantly surprised; the taco was actually good. I can see why they have a steady flow of customers eating here. The women working the kitchen were very friendly I would recommend this gas station

Is this the best Buc-ee's? While it's got the same selection as others and is about as large, it…read moredoesn't seem to be an overwhelmingly full of people which is a win. There's tons of parking and lots of pumps. I was traveling with my baby for the first time so having space away from everyone while we settled into what we needed to do was perfect. We grabbed the very last pump and no one was near us, which let us take our time. The bathrooms are large and we used a big handicap stall which had a changing table AND sink in it. It would be helpful if they had a sign noting that as it's very much a family stall (not just handicap) Overall a good Buc-ee's and a great stop

I ended up in Texas because of a guy with a Buc-ee's T-shirt…read more About year ago while shopping for groceries at Freddy's (aka Fred Meyer) I saw some guy confidently wearing a red t-shirt with a cartoon looking beaver on it. I was like, "Um, ok, what's that about?" I got home and looked it up. I found out it was Texan company. Then I decided I wanted to visit the biggest Buc-ee's in the Lone Star State. We landed in San Antonio and rented a car. Thankfully it didn't have a California license plate. We drove to Luling on our way to Austin. We pulled into the Buc-ee's parking lot. We saw the gas prices. Gas in Texas is more affordable than Washington State. Took a photo with the metal critter in front of the entrance then made our way into the store. Spacious, busy. Bathroom was clean. We picked up some brisket sandwiches and some sodas. Food is more affordable in Texas. We also bought some souvenirs to take back home including a red shirt with the beaver.

Store itself is bit bleak, but the breakfast was sooo good! Ordered 4 different tacos, had to wait a bit since they made to order, and so glad we did! Large tacos filled with fresh ingredients - sausage, bacon, potatoes and beans, yum. They also have menudo on weekends, and saw several patrons with large steaming bowls - looked and smelled wonderful (next time will get for sure!). They also have burgers, salads, carne guisada, and enchiladas...all looked great. Way better than McDonald's across street! Will be back!

Definitely not your typical dry, flavorless gas station. This chicken is crunchy, tender, and juicy. It's very reasonably priced. I definitely would recommend it for when you don't have the time for stopping a the more popular spots. The service is fast and friendly. The atmosphere is inviting and convenient.

If there was a McAllisters right next door, I'd come to the bakery 9 out of 10 times. I almost ordered a gallon of soup to go. Had to settle for a cup There's a small seating area in the store. Next time I'll grab a drink and chips from there. Staff very friendly

For a town celebrated for its charm, I expected this bakery to embody the same warmth…read more As a first-time visitor and tourist, I naturally had questions about the bakery's history and the pastries they're known for. The woman who appeared to be the bakery manager, working around 8:15 a.m., answered every question with an attitude that felt forced, dismissive, and unwelcoming. When someone says, "This is my first time here," it's usually an opportunity to create a memorable experience--not make them feel like they're interrupting your morning. I won't be rating the bakery's famous pigs in a blanket because, to me, hospitality is part of the product. Outstanding customer service can elevate good food to a great experience. Without it, even the town's signature pastry loses some of its appeal.
