I immediately noticed a problem with the torque converter and started to call around so I can get a shop that can put a fluid in the transmission to get me by. I know it's a band aid solution but I called Marco at 5pm and he graciously allowed me to come in. He was SLAMMED and yet managed to get me in. We both know it's a temporary fix and he set the proper expectation. Needless to say it got me on the road and headed back to my family. Most shops would take advantage of people from out of town especially knowing I wouldn't take it back to him if there was an issue but they did an honest, perfect, and clean job. I came in for an oil change and right before I went my car was slow to start, when I got to Allstate transmissions , I told them that. I also said it only happened once. They didn't experience any problems with turning it off and on but tried to tell me I needed a new starter and quoted me $1225. I called my dealership and they quoted me $1146. When I actually took my car in, the dealership said I didn't need a new starter, my starter was fine. Instead they replace my coolant valve, which was under warranty. In addition, they almost would not honor the coupon I brought in. First they said it was old, I explained I received it a week or two ago in the mail. Then they said my car took a special kind of oil and pointed to the fine print. They tried to only take $20 off of a $125 dollar bill, the coupon was for $59.99. After having an aggressive and tense conversation with the manager regarding the fact that this should have been stated at the beginning when I showed them coupon, he begrudgingly honored it and stated this would be the fist and only time he would honor it! We agreed on that because I will never be back!!!
