Fantastic experience.
My family had a vacation planned in Florida and I wanted to take my 1999 Yukon on the trip. A week before the trip my check engine light came on and based on the code, it was a transmission issue. I took the Yukon to another transmission place and explained my dilemma, they told me they could rebuild my transmission but they couldn't explain the diagnosis to me, they couldn't tell me when to expect the job to be completed and most importantly they couldn't tell me how much this would cost me. I left disappointed and drove over to I35 Transmissions.
Davey told me that he would diagnose it for free. He got in the car with me and we rode on the freeway so that he could determine if there were any issues. He identified and explained the problems that my Yukon was having and he even replicated the situation on a model transmission that he had (within the shop). He told me that he could have it repaired in enough time for me to take the trip to Florida and most important, he gave me a $400 price range of what to expect.
Needless to say, everything he promised was on point and I haven't had any issues (and the trip to Florida was problem free).
As far as I am concerned, there is only one place to go for transmission work and real talk about your vehicle - I35 Transmissions. read more
