We recently moved to Granbury. This is probably the second closest inspection place to us, and landed here when the closest place had a long wait. This is also the place my dad used to use, and I think for good reason. I found the staff friendly and courteous. The waiting area was comfy and clean. Best part was the price. This place is a joke. Two customers on a Saturday afternoon and I am in for a regular oil change as is the other customer. I sat patiently waiting At least 30 minutes and stepped around the corner to see what is going on and all 3 employees are out back working on a vehicle that isn't even being serviced (a personal car.) I get ready to check out and was informed I owed 105.00 for an oil change. I asked why so much and he said he used synthetic. I informed him that there was a sticker on the windshield that told him what type of oil i was running and it was not the synthetic. His response was that he did not pull the sticker off someone else did. I then asked to speak to the manager and he informed me he was not there but he would go get him? He was just around back. Who managers a place like this? Was he outside asleep in the car? I will take my vehicle back on Monday and ask to have the original type oil put back in my vehicle. Then proceed. read more

Never coming back here again! I waited a 45 minuets to get an oil change. Then, once it was done, I waited 15 minuets to pay out. My car was brought to the front but no one was in the office. I ended up spending $58 and one hour for a oil change. I'll definitely be going elsewhere next time. read more

I had a problem at this location they change my oil and did not properly tighten the oil filter and most of the oil leaked out I called the manager. The manager told me that he would do nothing to help me I had to take my car back to the key a dealer and get then to help me it cost me money the manager did nothing to help me at quick car be aware if you use quick car and there's a problem you are on your own. read more

Over the last half year, this place has went WAY down hill. They have changed my oil for several years and this was also my go to place to get state inspections. Six months ago, my wife was there to get an oil change and they put in a high price oil ( for older engines) without asking her. The next day, quite a bit of that oil was on my garage floor and when I took it back was told they hadn't put the gasket on the plug - oops, sorry..... I stopped by today for a state inspection and was told my serpentine belt had cracks and needed to be replaced. I told them I would do it. When I got it home and off, I couldn't find any cracks on the belt and actually put the old belt back on. I'm sure they were just trying to make an extra hundred on the inspection. I took it elsewhere with no problem. If you stop here, hold on to your wallet. read more

Took advantage of my wife by charging her $72 for an oil change on our old car without even discussing options with her. Last time I will let her change the oil, but it is UNACCEPTABLE for a shop to do this just because a woman comes in, or anyone they perceive may not be discerning. UPDATE: Called in and spoke with one of the managers who was no help. He said he was off when it happened so he couldn't do anything. When I asked for an actual manager (someone who understands how to take ownership of a situation that occurred at their establishment), he said the other manager was also off and completely unavailable with no other management on call. He said I should call back next week. I called around until I found the District Manager who has promised to resolve the situation by refunding part of the cost of the oil change. They apologized for the situation. I am increasing to 2 stars because they're resolving, but it should not have been this difficult. read more

I called in the morning as I needed my alt replaced, they said to bring it in and can take care of it no problem. I show up and was asked to park it and wait. After 45 min and multiple cars going before me I went and asked one of the guys how much longer and they said 10 min. After another 30 min I asked to speak to the person in charge where someone else came out. They told me their mechanic does not show up until Wed and there is nothing they can do for me. I had been using this once great business since I moved to Granbury 4 years ago. However my last two visits (late July 2019) have show me a huge degradation in employee attitude. I had my wife's truck inspected and an oil change done. When she went to renew the tags, the state computer did not show the inspection in the system. I looked at the paperwork and spotted at least three errors. I went back a couple of days later and the kids now running this place attitude was way off base from the way this place used to be run, almost insulting, it took the young man two attempts to get the paperwork corrected and his attitude got worse as I pointed out errors. No one offered any apology for making us make two trips to the state office or two trips to this business to do what should have been done right by these kids the first time. I wonder if there has been a management change?? read more

District manager Brian told me he'd see me in court after having my car towed there for them to look at only for them to refuse to look at it. I broke down in Fort Worth and had my mechanic come pick me up and tow us 80 miles back home After looking at the car he said the oil plug had come out. I called Kwik Kar and the district manager Brian called me back and told me to have it towed back to Granbury(another 30 miles) for him to look at and determine if it was their fault When the tow truck driver and I got there the manager called Brian and he told them not to look at it So I called Brian and he told me he'd see me in court. So the tow truck driver and myself had to find another place to take my car to have the damages assessed. I have been without my vehicle two weeks now and looks like I may have to sue to get them to do the right thing. read more

I took my car in for an oil change on the 30th of nov the crew pulled my car in and said we will get right on it. well after about 20 mins of them goofing off and talking with one another they got to my car and ive already told them what kind of oil then they come in and ask if I knew what kind of oil my car took. their brainless then they did oil the change, oil is sitting on my engine hood and front panels on a white mercedes then got charged 27.00 more than quoted. will not use them again and I strongly recommend people to stay away from this location read more

I had Kwik Kar in Granbury replace a part on my car and I was still having trouble with my car after they fixed it. I had taken it back to them several times since they fixed it and they assured me the problem was due to something else. Two weeks later I was still having problems with it and I took it to Classic Chevy in Granbury and they had to replace the same part that Kwik Kar in Granbury replaced and I called Kwik Kar in Granbury and spoke to the manager Austin and told him that Classic Chevy replaced the same part that they told me they replaced just two weeks prior and I even had documentation to prove it and he said he didn't care. Kwik Kar in Granbury will screw you over and take advantage of you. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. The manager there is the WORST!! I will NEVER go back there. read more

This place should NOT be in business. I have two issues. One minor, one criminal. I'm 66 years old and still change the oil in both cars myself. A synthetic oil change is just south of 90 bucks and I can do it for less than half that. Just moved here, and, into a fix'r'upper. The service reminder on my Expedition came on while I was super busy, so I took it to Kwik Kar. Did the next change myself. The Kwik Kar filter had at least 1 1/2 inches less diameter, and was one inch shorter when compared to all others ... Fram, K & M, Boesch, etc. When I asked the "manager", he said that they only use OEM filters ... I say BS. My wife's BRAND NEW Santa Fe was due it's FIRST oil change. I took a K & M filter, and a new nylon drain plug gasket. I cited my previous example when the service writer seemed slightly indignant that I was providing the filter. They charged full price, but I didn't bring the filter for a price-break, anyway. Next day, after my wife left for work, I went into the garage and discovered a large pizza sized pool of oil in her space. I called her and told her NOT to even start it. I grabbed a case of Mobile One and drove the gas guzzler to her office ... 62 miles round trip. Did I mention that her car was BRAND NEW? I called Kwik Kar on the way and was indignant back at the Manager when I told him what I discovered. He said he'd take care of it. I checked the oil, which was still showing full, and traded cars with her. After correcting the issue, the manager told me that it was leaking from the inferior K & M filter that I had provided. I've never had any problems with K & M in many years and many vehicles, but I'm not a "professional". Now, on to the BAD review. Did the next change myself. The drain plug was still sealed to the oil pan with the yellow paint applied by the Hyundai inspector, and the aluminum OEM crush washer was still on the plug. Kwik Kar drained the oil through the OIL FILTER PORT!! This is one time I wish I had taken it in to a different shop for the oil change. If I'd had a "professional" witness to this travesty, I'd have turned them in to the Hood County DA. If you value your vehicle, avoid this jip-joint like the plague. read more
