Took my car to Kwik Fit in Slough for a puntchure check. My experience was one i never want to have again. It seemed as though the staff just wanted to rip everyone off and get as much money as they could out of them. One customer who had been in ofr a service was told he needed new front wipers because his was smearing. The customer stated he had only had them replaced three weeks prior so they couldn't be right. Kwik Fit then told him his brake fluid was old and needed replacing. Again, the customer stated that Kwik Fit Slough had only charged him for changing the brake fluid less than six months ago. Next it was my turn to have the rip off treatment. My car was pulled into the workshop and raised on the ramp so the staff could check my tyre. i noticed they had left my lights on so i commented to the manager on the desk that they would make my battery go flat if they don't turn my lights off. He didn't seem to care and just said they was checking my car. I was later called out to the workshop by that manager who tried to explain that i had a screw in my tyre and needed a new tyre. It couldnt be repaired because the tread was wearing unevenly. this would be caused by my tracking or "geo" as they called it. They wouldn't give me a quote until they could get the car on the ramp and check how many adjustments would be needed. I asked a member of staff if they could have a quick look at my brakes to see how long i have left until i need to change them. I was told my brakes were ok but the brake fluid would need to be changed at £39.95. They hadn't even checked the brake fluid so how sould they know it needed changing? I had a new tyre fitted and asked to keep my old tyre. They put my car on another ramp to check my tracking and told me the Geo was out and neded three adjustments at £120. However i could get a care plan for a one off of £150 Complete rip off charging 120 for tracking. I asked what makes the tracking go out and they told me my suspension was worn and would need changing soon. They offer to give me a quote but i declined. I left with just a new tyre and took my old tyre to another garage down the road who told me that the tyre could have been repaired and would have cost around £25. Lesson learned, rude staff at Kwik Fit. Everyone will try to con you. No one looked like they enjoy working there. Would never go back there again. read more

You would think that after 12 years this depot would have learned how to put hub caps back on properly? Wrong! 12 years ago was the last time I visited this place, I always used to ring around for quotes on tyres and exhausts to get the best deal. Now I have a company lease car I just have to go where they tell us which unfortunatly now has changed from ATS to Kwik Fit. When I bought my own car here those 12 years ago I was reluctant even though they were the cheapest after a previous experience when they had only secured my new exhaust with 3 nuts instead of 4, but they quoted the best price for a branded tyre so what could possibly go wrong? After fitting however, firstly they tried to charge me a higher price than I had been quoted and asked me for the persons name. Luckily my previous experience of garages is always write it down. Then I drove about 90 miles and when I got to my destination the hub cap had gone. After a row they finally agreed to replace it but I had to go and buy it first! Fast forward 12 years and my company say the lease company have decided to change the tyre provider from ATS (who were brilliant) to Kwik Fit. So this year I needed 2 new tyres so off I went to my local depot in Slough. Well it was like a trip down memory lane. Whilst waiting I heard a fellow customer arguing that 'That wasn't the price I was quoted over the phone' and then when my car was ready, I drove 17 miles and guess what?? 1 hub cap missing!! This review concerns the Bath Road, Slough Kwik Fit site only. 13/10/16, 12noon - The warning light on my dash appeared advising the front offside tyre pressure was low. This was the second time in a matter of days and having pumped it up the day before, I knew it would be a nail or a screw. Sure enough I located the shiny head of a screw smiling back at me...slow puncture, but I knew it could be easily plugged/patched as it was in the centre of the wide tread pattern. Close by was the Slough Bath Road Kwik Fit - I pulled into the car park and walked into the reception area. There were 2 staff members sat at their shared long desk. I stood in the middle of both of them waiting for one of them to look up at me. After about 30secs, the Asian male member of staff did so and said in a dower, miserable voice, "You ok there?" I explained my issue to him. His female colleague never looked up from her paperwork. He looked down and flicked through what appeared to be a diary bookings book, looking back at me and in a most disinterested, 'I really want to go home' tone said, "There's 4 cars in front of you, when one's done I can get you in". "How long will that be?" I enquired. "Maybe 30 or 40minutes not sure". Totally unimpressed, so I left without another word being said. Compare this to ProTyres, a mile further down the road. Instantly upon arrival, "Good afternoon, how can we help you?" Said the attentive male member of staff, with a cheery smile. I explained the problem... "That's ok we can fix that for you, but unfortunately there will be a wait time of about 30minutes. Can you wait in our seating area and we will get to you as soon as we can?" Oh well I thought ok, "But the only problem is my dog is in my car". "Fine, you can bring your dog in here if you want whilst you wait" Then a female member of staff said, "Oh yes, l love dogs, I keep Doggy biscuits behind the counter here!" Fantastic I thought, free coffee and dog biscuits! And so the dog and I were made to feel like well cared for customers.
