If you need something tailored and you want it done right, there is no place to go except Old Field Tailor Shop. I ordered (3) custom made Italian shirts a few years ago from Rocco and are still in great shape today. My wife had a dress that needed to be hemmed and the workmanship that was performed on her dress is a lost art. Go in and see Rocco for your tailor needs, he's the best!

The craftsmanship is excellent, the fit is great, and the adjustments make me look better. Price was $20 for each alteration. This is a little pricier than what I paid in the Bay Area for hemming but much cheaper than what I paid for waist alterations (which is trickier than it sounds when your waist is much smaller than your hips). So it evened out. The proprietor was very pleasant and kind. I'll definitely bring more business his way.

Now I can wear my favorite sweatshirts again. She also did a hem on a pair of pants that I haven't worn because they were to long. Today I dropped off my sons favorite jacket to repair a sleeve cuff snap that came off. It's so nice to have met Jean. She's my go to when I need a repair. I might add her prices are very resonable.

I wasn't entirely happy with the alterations made to my dress between the first and second fittings…read more(felt too tight around the thighs, felt like I couldn't sit comfortably etc) and I was told "that's just the fit of the dress you have to get used to it." I felt like I was being gaslit and made sure to bring a friend to my final appointment to make sure the dress was perfect and that I wouldn't be bullied into a dress i felt uncomfortable in. The dress ended up looking and feeling good, but on the actual wedding day when tying my bustle the straps broke, which meant the train had to stay long. Ended up needing to change into a different dress (not a planned second look) because I couldn't dance with the bustle breaking. Overall would not recommend based on bedside manner and quality of alterations.

I used to have ok experiences here since I started bringing my dresses here after another cleaner…read morenearby lost some of my clothing a few years back. I always found this location to be expensive considering the clothing looked ok but not 100% clean but felt it was passable since I live and work very close by and it was convenient. Last winter, she accepted one of my dresses with metal pieces on it. After I got it back and wore it to work, the metal pieces fell off, leaving gaping holes. Apparently whatever they use dissolved the adhesive that held the metal pieces on. She denied it. In the spring something similar happened and the entire back had come apart on another dress after she cleaned it. Denied again. That made 2 of my dresses (which are pretty expensive) unwearable. Last week I brought 8 dresses to be cleaned. As always, I showed her where the stains were. She never told me there was a problem cleaning any of the dresses - all had been cleaned there before. When I went back to pick them up, not only were some of the stains still on the dresses, but another dress was ruined - she told me that her husband spent hours on that dress but not only can it not be dry cleaned - it cannot be cleaned in any way, it must remain the way it is and she suggested I get my money back from the designer. I called BS because that makes literally no sense - it is impossible that Ralph Lauren would produce clothing that can never be cleaned. I will be taking my business elsewhere now. Not only was their treatment of my clothing unprofessional at best, but the nonsense remark was an insult to my (or anyone's) intelligence.

The guy who worked on my clothing is honest when it comes to what needs to be done. They also clean rugs and comforters here, which is a plus for me! I do recommend coming here for alterations.
