He DROVE me to the parts store 2 towns away to get the part, while he was also dropping off another customer at home while he worked on their car also. Phil is a one of a kind guy, personable, knowledgeable,kind, and honest. He fixed my car and had us on our way in a short period of time, where as if he had not, I would have been stuck in a town I did not know, and probably would have had to get a hotel room. If you are fortunate enough to live close to Phil's shop, I highly recommend him, I wish I did, its rare to find that caliber mechanic and just a good person, he was very fair with his prices also.

While sitting in the waiting room, I heard Dave run the lug nuts on with an impact, and then I heard the click-click of a proper torque wrench, which I really appreciate. Most places will tighten them down to 12 dugga-duggas of the impact, which just creates problems later on.

However, MA law states there is a $132 fee cap plus $35 per 24 hours of storage. That comes to $167. If the driver was honest about this cost difference, my son would have chosen to go to their facility. Additionally, the driver quickly dropped the price when I showed up which shows he was clearly trying to take advantage of an 18-year old. I had reached out to this company to request the $33 difference and they ignored my email.

My second to last experience, giving me a quote and then subcontracting the job out to another repair shop that not only forgot to put parts back on, broke interior parts and the cost ended up more than double. 1400 estimate became $3000 and they gave me the vehicle back broken. The most recent one they put our directional tires on backwards. The annual inspection attendant mentioned it. they did not want to remedy it.
