I do like that they are open 7 days a week. There are board games available, a pool table, along with mounted wall televisions so you do have entertainment while you wait. Plenty of seating as well. I have the same complaint with them as I have with all barber shops I have experienced in Texas...they cut hair too slow!

Great Option for African American Haircuts…read more I found this place on a whim after my barber of 10+ years decided to take some time off from cutting. I came to this shop because it was clean and in a decent shopping center. The owner is super cool and also a Barber. They mainly cut African American hair but I,ve seen other cultures getting a "Fade".They have lots of seating, One of which is a row of Church Pews which I thought was wonderfully hilarious when I first visited but I think adds to the character of this shop. They have 4 Barbers on staff all of which are professional and courteous and Flat Screen TV's all around . I like the fact that they have a strict "No Profanity" rule in the shop. Price point is great as well.

Greg was up first so he was the man for the job, I showed him a pic of what I wanted and off he went. Now my hair has a mind of its own (I swear it was growing faster than he could cut!) but he did such an awesome job that I will definitely be going to him for all future cuts! And the shop has the best vibe theres even have a pool table inside so you can chill and hit some balls while you wait ;-)

I shouldn't have paid because I didn't get what I asked for: I didn't get a "good haircut." When you factor in the low quality of my haircut, this quickly changed from "overpriced" to "Rip-off". I had to touch up the back myself when I got home. Uneven sideburns needed extra trimming too. Judging from other reviews, I expected higher quality. I'm happy to pay a higher price if I get the better haircut, but that did not happen here. Not sure why it took so long to cut my hair either: it certainly wasn't to make it look good. Now I wait for my hair to grow out to try somewhere else. Obviously, I will not be back.

One of the barber's asked if we had a barber in mind, being our first visit, we did not. KB, the one barber not busy, declined to take us--more like ignored that we were there. We had no issues waiting for Pink, another barber there; but eventually he decided to go ahead and take us. His workmanship was poor at best. He did not taper or blend anything he did. This is not a negative review on the salon but more on the barber. The other barbers seemed to do great work on their clients.

Fortunately, I got lucky and HIGHLY recommended to anyone who wants a barber with substance! He does amazing work! I appreciate the extra time, detail, and skill John puts in nothing feels rushed! Everything was backed with quality! From what I can tell all the other barbers are on point also. Besides that it's a very clean professional atmosphere and they play great music and have multiple TVs while you wait or while you are getting worked on. John works by appointment so please be mindful. What else can I say this place is awesome!. No more trying another barber shop hoping for the best . Thanks John!! Your service and work is far better than it was anywhere Southern California and the many I've tried here in Houston. See you next week!
