I get a great haircut from both Angel and Chelsea. Friendly and readily available! Just a few minutes from my job, drop right in every two weeks. Thanks! read more

Angel does a great job for a fair price. Wait times are never bad and the banter about local happenings can't be beaten. Love Katy Barbershop! read more

Horrible customer service. The lady who works there doesn't know how to cut hair. She cut my hair and did a really bad job. I never come back to this place. Please do your self a favor don't go to this place. read more

Ask Angel to cut your hair. The lady who works with him (don't know her name) cut my hair today and it's the worst hair cut I've ever had. I had to fix it at home just to make it look decent. read more

Horrible customer service. I called the shop this afternoon and was told they were open until 5:30 pm...called just to confirm even though this is also the time listed on their website. I arrived at the shop at 5:08 and there was a female employee there and no customers. She told me they were closed. I let her know I had called earlier in the day and was told they close at 5:30 and that is also what is listed on their website...she said she takes her last customer at 5:00...again, it was only 5:08 and she could have easily cut my hair and still closed on time but she was unwilling and unapologetic. Thankfully I drove across the highway the Diesel and they were friendly, accommodating, and gave me a great cut. While you may be able to get a good cut at Katy Barbershop, their customer service definitely needs improvement. read more

I called to ask about getting a hair cut and you could tell the lady didn't want me to stop by. So when I asked for the price of a simple haircut and beard trim nothing fancy she told me quickly and then said bye. It was high for a simple beard but she clearly didn't want to wait to see if I was interested. read more

Once in a great while you find a new barber whose skill level sets the bar so high that few can equal. Katy Barbershop - New cut - Barbers Near Me - Katy, Texas

I went today to get my first haircut since my hair started growing back from chemo. I typically get guy cuts, so I decided instead of trying to explain at a Salon exactly what I wanted, I would just go to a Barber. My husband and father in law frequent the establishment, and they were pleased, so I went in. I can not describe to you how amazing it was. Chuck, the new owner took such good care of me, and did my hair EXACTLY how I wanted it. It looks perfect, and I couldn't be happier. Amazing conversation to boot. We had a riot. I am excited to know there is someone who is totally amazing to take care of my hair in Katy. read more

Great haircut, friendly conversation and all at a reasonable price. Thank you, I'll be back!

I'm a 70 year old, ex-military, old fashion type of guy. I'm particular about my haircuts. I've lived in Katy for 2 years and have been looking for an 'old fashion' barber shop. Came across this shop on Saturday. Walked in, told Angel what I wanted and he made it happen. I am completely satisfied with the work he does. I will be his customer from now on. I would recommend him to anyone who's looking. Thanks, Angel! read more

If you're looking for a clean skin fade then you might want to try someone else. I got my haircut there two weeks ago and went again today and the barber said the last person who cut my hair did not do a good job. He continued to do a bad job with my haircut. You know you got a messed up cut when your homies make fun of it... read more

wow great cut, fast waiting time. The barber I had was excellent did a great flattop. They only take cash no cards so don't forget to get some before heading here. read more

Not your traditional barbershop. Walked in and expected to see some old men working there giving "ok" haircuts. No, it is owned by a young couple. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel like life-long friends. The haircuts are great and they take their time to make sure that you are pleased. I found them because I wanted a beard trim and walked out with a full grooming. Ladies, don't be afraid to get a cut there. I have found my new favorite place. I will return and hope other will try it as well. Bring cash. No credit cards accepted. Also big Katy Tiger fans so be ready. read more

All is well again. Angel is now my barber and hopefully he doesn't go anywhere like the last two barbers I have gone to. He cuts really good hair and I'm pretty happy about that. Well, after a couple months of getting my haircuts by Angel he doesn't cut really well....he cuts GREAT hair!!!! Excellent barber!!! read more

Katy Barber Shop This is a clean well-kept facility I have visited this place about five times in the two years of living in Katy. I was trying to get things done today and I choose Katy for my immediate needs. I walked in the door of the barber shop and the gentleman wearing the cross and white barber attire said very loudly can I help you? In my confused moment, I asked this is a barbershop; I would like a haircut and shave. His tones toward me changed and said have a seat, please. Now if he had stopped there I would have said nothing but this person said that someone dressed just like me was servicing his toiletries just yesterday and did not understand why "they were back". So the hair cut was easy to take it all off (not much there) now the shave was awkward between his shaking hands and deep breathes was a little concern. Now there were four new customers and each time the greetings were the same "hello and how are you". So the job was done and must say it looked good. So I asked what the damage since there was no pricing has posted. The walk out the door cost was $43.00 for this fine haircut and shave. I'm not thinking Katy is ready for diversity at this location read more

I just finished today with my first visit to this establishment and they did a great job. I will be back!

I've been getting my haircut here for nearly 2 years. I was so upset when the hurricane took it out for a few months and had to pay double at another barber shop. If you're looking for a great conversation, and a great haircut look no further. I can't say enough great things about Bernice and Chuck, they both make me feel so welcome every time I come in for a trim. I highly recommend this barber shop and look forward to every haircut I get from them. read more

Split review... Barbershop was cool, very relaxed. People seem down to earth and friendly. $15 is a very decent price. My last barber shop, Ford's Barbershop in Tulsa, was absolutely amazing but raised theirs up to about $25 if I remember. Still worth it for quality alone. Chelsea was my barber on this, my first trip. From here, I may as well be at Super Cuts. Cut was rushed, no interaction, and she talked me out of the preferences I have (given and proven by my last barber) because blah blah blah. I knew she was wrong because I knew the way it was done was perfect. But I didn't want her doing something she wasn't comfortable doing, lest she mess up. My instincts said "waaaaiitttt forrrr Annngeeellllll" all ghostly like. It was actually my wife saying it. And I probably should have listened. Always listen to your wife. read more

This place is the worst barbershop I've ever been too. I showed the barber a picture of my hair cut and he seemed so confident but when he started cutting I could instantly tell he couldn't do fades. I usually do a razor fade with a comb over and he said he could do a razor fade but never once pulled out a straight razor, not only that after he thought he was finished he handed me the mirror and asked me what I thought and when I told him I wanted a closer hair cut he got mad and argued with me. While I was arguing with him the guy next to me was complaining about his beard trim that the lady barber had done and she was saying she couldn't fix it. I also didn't see any barbers licenses hanging up anywhere. read more

This is the worst barber shop ever. Do not go here. I took my two year old here for a little boy hair cut, he had very long pretty hair. I showed him a picture of a cute little boy haircut, he said he knew exactly what I wanted and that he could do it. I was trying to entertain my son as he started on the back, he proceeds to tell me sick disgusting things about his children and I began to get very creeped out. I looked up and I see that he has completely SHAVED the back of my sons hair, he's completely bald in the back. I was so uncomfortable and scared at this point I didn't say anything I just wanted to get out of there. I regret that now and wish I would have told him to stop and just left. He proceeded to shave his whole head, leaving just the top Mohawk area long. He continued to tell me creepy things and I was so scared. He finished and I payed and left, and got in my car and cried. I really wish I would have said something but in the moment I was just so creeped out. His hair looks absolutely horrible. He had long, very thick hair I can not believe anyone would have the nerve to completely shave someone's hair like that with out making sure that's what they wanted. After posting this on social media I had two friends make me aware that this exact thing had happened to them by the same guy. I'm attaching his before picture, what I showed him, and what I got. read more

This place is great. I was looking for a place that could be trusted with my beard as well as the hair on top of my head, and after reading the reviews I figured I'd give it a shot. I was in and out in twenty minutes with a great trim-up...even shaved the back of my neck with actual foam and a razor, not some cheap pair of clippers. I highly recommend this place! read more

Customer service is lacking. They had their open sign on, but rudely said they were closed. Just unprofessional, not impressed.

Great haircut! My son (13) and I just moved to Katy and we used Yelp to find a new barber. After reading the reviews we decided to give this place a try. We were both very happy with our haircuts and the quality of service. It was 1/2 the price of what we use to pay for a cut in Florida and Paige and Angel were very friendly. All around a big win. We will be regular customers as long as they are here. Oh by the way, bring cash and no appointments, walk ins only. read more

My family and I just moved to the area and I needed a hair cut. I just walked right in and felt at home right away. There wasn't loud obnoxious music playing and everyone was very friendly. Not just nice, but friendly. That's hard to find these days. All I had to say was "high and tight" and have never had a better cut. They don't push products like everyone else. It's awesome to see that the true barber craft is alive and well in this barber shop. I'll be going there until I die or move. read more

$40 haircut + shave ... haircut was a 4 minute quickie (OK ... had to fix at end, but OK) ... WORST shave I've ever had. 1 inch cut on neck that bled, like ... forever. Beard lines didn't match (1/2 inch off); Mustache lines were off 1/4 inch; Upper lip wasn't done at all; Stubble on both cheeks. For the love of God, DO NOT let the lady there touch your face!! Not going back on this side of town ... read more

Took my son to get a haircut for the new school year. My son is Autistic and HATES to get his hair cut. Chuck was great at easing his anxiety and my son was very relaxed the whole time. I had a photo I found online of the haircut I wanted for my son. Chuck was super knowledgeable and explained to me that due to the way his hair was cut last time we couldnt quite achieve the exact look I was requesting. I was very impressed because most places would just get it as close as possible and not care that it wasn't what I was looking for. Instead he modified the haircut I wanted in a way that would look great while the areas that were too short grew out enough for my original request. I am so happy with the result! My son even said he loves it, he has NEVER said he liked a haircut in the past. My kids just fell in love with Mr. Chuck, my daughter can't wait to get her next haircut there. We will definitely be back! read more

Old School barber shop; been there many times and the barbers have been great and haircuts exactly what I asked for. First come first served. Cash only. Regular haircut $12(less tip). At times they may only have one Barber so the wait could be a bit. read more

Good spot. Was tired of the chains with long waits and poor skills. I'll will definitely return.

Today was a great day for me, been all over Katy looking for a barber shop who can get it right, I normally get a fade with a 5 on the top. What really got me loving this place Ms. Chelsie, as far as from the excellent customer service, I was greeted with a warm welcome, Ms Chelsie ensured every customer was ok and conveyed service time. Really impressed with the final outcome of my hair cut, fade not high as most places and no invisible fade lines!!!! You bet I'll be coming back. I highly recommend this place to everyone in the Katy area. read more

Angel does a fantastic job! The wait can get backed up at times, but overall a great place and I'll keep going back.

My sons and I have been going to this barbershop ever since we moved into the area back in 2010. Whether it was Mr. Barreto, Mrs. Barreto (Mrs. Bernice) or Angel, I knew my boys and I were going to get a great haircut. They have always treated us like family. And now Chuck is keeping up the tradition. Great service and great conversation! read more

Me and my buddy come here every 2 weeks to get our haircut by Angel & Chelsie. Every time we come we get the same treatment which is world class. They both can do any cut, lineup, fade, or hard part that you need. We have been a lot of places but this one has the trophy! read more
