First time at Grayscale Barbershop. There is plenty of parking. I was welcomed with a large open spaced and welly lighted barbershoped. The offer complimentary water while you wait or for your trip out. My barber Jay was very friendly and down to earth. He cut my hair very well and took the time to make sure everything was everything I wanted. You can tell he put attention to details. I would come back. read more

I transitioned to Grayscale a few months ago and it's been a great experience. I have been going to Steven and he has been on point each time. Your appointments are made online and you have a choice of barbers and services. The only thing missing for me are TV's. Every barber shop I have ever visited had TVs for sports in addition to the conversation with your barber. That would make them a 5 star. Hopefully that may be something they can add to make it a perfect experience. read more

There is nothing like a hot towel shave and a nice beard trim to fit your face shape. I got my cut by Steven M. and he has skills with a straight razor. I recently started my beard journey again, my beard curls as it grows out and it grows odd, but he blended the fade decent. The towel shave was refreshing, but c'mon Greyscale, let's get those towels hotter! The barbershop has a laid back atmosphere and there is always someone cleaning so no slipping on hairs. Definitely will be going back to get that fresh and clean!!! read more

I just moved to Katy and finding a new barbershop was at the top of my to do list, but it was also something I was nervous about since I didn't know what to expect from shops in a new city. I landed on Grayscale because of their Instagram presence and their proximity to my neighborhood, and I'm so glad I did. Specifically, Jay made this experience incredibly welcoming from the moment I sat in his chair. He went out of his way to get to know me, understand what kind of cut I was trying to get, and even recommended places for me and my girlfriend to check out around town. As for the cut, he did a phenomenal job and his attention to detail was on full display. I got exactly what I asked for and will be returning for as long as I live here. read more

It was close to where I was working. Walked in Jacob gave me a great flattop. He was friendly. Fast. And did a great freehand flattop. The place is a little pricey but not bad. They do take care too many barbershops don't that was another reason I tried it. Next time. I'd make an appointment and I'd definitely ask for Jacob again. read more

Went there for the first time today, I scheduled a haircut with beard with Oscar. The cut was all good until he started shaping and trimming my beard, I explained to him I didn't have a full beard so just shape it without trimming much. Let's just say my mustache looks like it just took a s*^% on my face. Clear mess up, when I pointed it out to him he said "you're pretty thin on hair". Bull. Nonetheless let's say I won't be going back to this place first time and last. read more

I started going to Grayscale in Oct/Nov 2021. Before than, I was switching around multiple barbershops in Katy for about 10 months. The barbers I used to go to were in the loop, but moving back to the burbs in Houston I had to find someone I really like. Miguel (Owner) is down to earth and runs the establishment really good. Family friendly, but still has the barber shop vibes of having good conversations. I go back & forth between Miguel & Oscar. You can't go wrong with either of them. The facility is well kept/maintained, clean, and good music right when you step in. Another advantage, the keep the mini fridge stocked with water, Gatorade, sodas, and Modelos! read more

The BEST barbershop in the Houston/Katy area! SIX star service! The staffs here are super professional and friendly. The establishment is always clean. Miguel have been cutting my son's hair since he was 4 months old and he never disappoints! We take the drive from Tomball to Katy for haircuts because Grayscale is absolutely worth that drive! All the barbers at Grayscale are great! Everyone that leaves the shop seriously have the best looking cuts/fade. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

I left this same review on google: I've been getting my haircut by Miguel for about 5 years. After seeing on IG some of the cuts he was giving, I sought him out to cut my hair as well. I've followed him from his last places of employment to his new shop in Katy. I couldn't be more happy with the cuts and conversation that Miguel provides. I've never had any issues whatsoever with my haircuts and beard trim. I am always getting complimented when I leave from a fresh cut, and I always recommend Miguel to everyone I speak to. read more

He is at an age where he wants as much hair piled on top of his head as possible. The problem is that the shape was out of control, so his hair never looked "done." It was a wild, curly, bushy mushroom, and I couldn't take it any longer. Jo assured my son that he'd still have ALL the hair, but the shape would frame his face better AND not look like a fungus growing on top of his head! He got the full service treatment with his cut, so he was in heaven and feeling like a grown up. The haircut was exactly what I'd envisioned. Clean, fresh and totally still "big" like his heart desired. We were both happy when Jo finished working her magic. So, yes...he still goes to his regular barber every month, but the cut he got at Jo's shop was by far my favorite and the experience made it more than just a bi-weekly haircut. The shop itself is modern, stylish and clean. There are personal touches around the shop that tell Jo's story and where her passion comes from. Oh, and there are cold drinks, beer, and spirits, if you're so inclined. It's a whole vibe. If we lived in Houston, we'd be here every two weeks for all three of our boys!

I've followed Miguel anywhere he's been due to his Amazing Talent, passion for his craft, and friendly, outgoing personality that makes every customer experience a great one! His attention to detail and patience with haircuts is unlike most at least in my experience. Grayscale was hands down the nicest shop I've been to since living in Houston, TX. Great environment for your average joe to the kids getting a hair cut. It also definitely has a flavor to it that makes it unique. Prices are generally the same as most other shops but the talent and staff Miguel has working with him outmeasures your average barbershop/ hair salon. I always recommend Grayscale to anyone who askes where they can get a good haircut from. read more
