After a, what seemed to me, long process, the owner and I were able to reach an agreement on the expectations of this job vs. the results and we figured an amicable solution in order for us both to move on and chalk this up as a learning experience for both. I respect the fact that the company worked with me and ultimately recognized my issues and were clearly intent on creating a solution for me. For that, I commend them and would recommend.

After I caught contractor Jerris, contractor Jay and worker James in multiple lies I called the town hall building inspector Gary Allard to come down and inspect. After the building inspector Gary Allard inspected Liberty's work, the building inspector had Liberty Construction rip out everything down to the stud and start over again. This totally incompetent crew and liars were fired for shoddy work and trying to cover up the improperly installed scope of work. The job took slightly more time then quoted but all cost was covered by liberty. The team received 5 stars vs 4 stars due to team member John coming and doing all the finish work and making sure any questions or small finishing were completed above expectation. From my personal experience, I would not recommend hiring this company for any construction or…read moreremodeling work. My shower remodel which should have taken 1-2 days to complete took over one year and required three separate attempts by the owner, Graciano Machado, (aka: Greg) and his workers to complete. To this day, l am unable to use the shower as it will require me to have it demoed and repaired. Throughout the process of having my shower completed, I had several issues to include, my shower walls coming apart on two separate occasions due to improper install, the grout not being properly applied, leaving several holes and cracks throughout, the glass sliding door not closing fully, and much more. But the biggest issue of all, was that, Greg Machado violated basic sanitary building standards by failing to install a cement backer board, which is a required material in the State of Massachusetts to prevent moisture damage and ensure proper waterproofing. He was well aware of this, but did not correct it. Despite giving multiple opportunities and addressing my concerns to Greg and his team, they were not able to complete my shower correctly. I was met by constant delays to have my shower repaired, and i was met with some dishonesty from Greg's behalf. As a result of these issues, I pursued legal action through small claims court and was awarded a judgment in my favor. The matter is still ongoing as I work to collect that judgment which has yet to be fulfilled. I have also noticed that other individuals including a business have also pursued legal action through small claims against Greg, his wife (co-owner) and his business. From my experience, I strongly advise others to exercise caution before hiring this contractor.

They quickly framed the pipe and covered with drywall and plaster. They were also able to match the paint from the wall, and it perfectly matches. It was a perfect job and I am very happy. Not to mention the price blew me away. I was expecting more based on being a smaller job. I highly recommend New Day... they CARE!

I hired KAC to do a bathroom remodel on my first floor and a new shower in my upstairs bathroom…read more They did a BEAUTIFUL job and were great to work with. The subcontracters were professional and easy to deal with . The project manager was great. It took a lot longer than I had hoped but all in all I was very happy. However, it turns out that they do not stand by their work. Months after the job was done, the drywall around my first floor shower started to crumble. I sent Kevin photos. Without coming to see it, he "diagnosed" the problem - that water was getting in between the bathtub and tub enclosure and damaging the wall. He said it was a common problem with tub enclosures and he could fix it for $1500. I said ok and he had his project manager Dave come to look at it. It was only then that we realized that was NOT the problem. When the bathroom was done they had left the round metal part that the shower handle is attached to ungrouted. It was loose and would spin around. I asked the plumber about it when he did the bathtub and shower install and he said "its fine". I didn't question it because he ALSO left it the same way on the upstairs shower. I thought that probably the pipe behind it was fully grouted so that water could go behind the round part but would not permeate behind the tub enclosure. So anyway Dave realized quickly that water was going behind the round part, into where the pipes were and behind the tub enclosure. That was what was causing the damage; the job had been not fully completed. The fixture should have been grouted. He assured me that I would not need to pay for repairs to the wall. I asked Kevin to schedule a repair and he insisted on payment, as we had agreed before. But that agreement was before we realized that the entire problem was caused by his subcontractors not finishing the job in the first place.
