The tooth split because I didn't have a crown put on it ‍. Not going to lie, I was pretty nervous about having this done because of an very rough extraction I had done in the past. This experience with Dr. Eckhart was nothing like my past experience. He explained the procedure clearly and showed me exactly what was about to happen. Because he shared with me the "what" and "why" about the procedure it really set me at ease. I had a tough case because of the root canal done years ago. He was in and out in about 25 minutes and I didn't feel a thing! I felt a little pressure but no where near uncomfortable. He also put in an implant, which took about 2 minutes, so I will be able to chew on that side of my mouth. All of this happened yesterday and I am pain free today! The extraction I had in the past from a different doc I couldn't eat for a week. I can't believe how good my mouth feels. All because Dr. Eckhart cares about what he does and the patients he works on. Repeat business is the best review any customer could give, I won't go anywhere else!!

This after I had spent a couple of thousand dollars when I did not have insurance. He gave me a 10% discount once because I was paying his full cost out of pocket. Also, while doing a root canal, he said he was having difficulty completing it and sent me to a specialist. That Doctor found a metal piece from his 'pick' lodged in my gum I think. I had to pay the specialist also. Terrible.

The piece of metal couldn't be extracted, and I was sent back to Dr. Katz to extract the tooth. Not only did I have to endure the pain from the infections but had to pay the specialist for the amount my insurance did not cover. When I complained to Dr. Katz about the broken wire, he said, "You always take that risk." I stated that I didn't think I should pay for any of the extraction procedure. Dr. Katz did accept my insurance payment and did not charge me for my portion of the extraction procedure.

I had a few cleanings done here, which were pretty normal. Like others have said, I had to wait longer than expected but nothing too drastic. I did end of switching providers though after one too many bad experiences that could not be coincidental. Saga as follows: -They switched dentists between my 2nd and 3rd cleaning here. During the second cleaning I was told I would need multiple fillings (which I kept procrastinating...) During the 3rd cleaning the new dentist said I did not need any... (to give benefit of the doubt, maybe every dentist is different...? But I felt like the previous dentist was just trying to get money out of me! -They were VERY hesitant to give a referral for a wisdom tooth extraction to anywhere but one specific place (which didn't take my insurance) Once I finally jumped through all the hoops for them to finally release my information to who I was asking them to, they only sent part of my record and I had to get X-rays redone at the place I was getting my wisdom teeth out because they "didn't have it" -During my 3rd cleaning they took the X-rays again because the "didn't have them" How do you misplace X-rays...? ‍ - the new dentist was really demeaning, mansplained EVERYTHING to me, even restated something I literally just said, and used my name every other second thinking he was "connecting with me." I did not like it! But I was thankful he retook the X-ray "for free" (not my fault they misplaced it though...) and did not lie about my filling so that was nice... mixed reviews on him -Nail in the coffin, my last appointment was 7/22 and i have not heard from them since (except to cancel a cleaning 1/23 because I decided not to continue with them...!) All of a sudden I get a collection notice in the mail saying I owe them money for my last cleaning.... I called to ask why I didn't get a bill or a call or anything. They claim they sent 8 bills before sending to collection but I did not get 1... Needless to say: proceed with caution. The people are not bad (also not the best...) but I had one too many bad experiences for it to be coincidence.

She is prejudice against people that she thinks does have insurance. I have insurance, but she didn't do her job until I got there. It took 48 minutes to finally verify that I had insurance. By then, it was time for the next patient. Autumn told me that they were not going to clean my teeth and that I had to leave. I drove 2 hours round trip for nothing. Autumn was rude, disrespectful, and talked down to me. She had a chip on her shoulder and a power trip. She should be fired immediately for how she treated me. I will never go back to this dentist office again because of Autumn. There are so many choices of dentists on Linglestowns Road that I don't need this one. I would not even give it one star. Actually it deserves zero stars because the customer service from the employees there is horrible. They are hiring low grade people that don't care about the clients. Autumn bullied and degraded me. She thought I didn't have insurance and treated me like I didn't deserve service. She literally told me to leave. She told the dental hygienist not to service me. She is a horrible person with a mean personality. She should not be working with customers. She is incompetent because I've always had insurance, but she didn't do her job correctly. She needs some customer service training. Also, she should do her job before the patient shows up instead of waiting till the last minute. Dr. Shirley and Dr. Ditty... you are hiring people that are giving your practice a horrible name. With all the competition around you, your employees should be giving top notch service to each and every client no matter what. The client is who pays your salary...just remember that. I tell everyone how horrible your place has gotten. I suggest you give your employees some training and fire employees like Autumn. I could go into detail how horrible Autumn was to me but it would take pages. AUTUMN NEEDS FIRED.

She explained what was going on & why it was a difficult procedure. She also made CERTAIN I was numb the entire time feeling NOTHING going on in my mouth. Dr. Patel gave me multiple breaks to rest my jaw and constantly wanted to make sure I was doing okay.
