Such a CUTE affordable store!…read more I braved the Black Friday crazies and made it to The Cheeky Bean and I was so happy that it was such a calm experience. Not only did I run into a famous reality star (Jordan from The Amazing Race and Big Brother winner), I was handed a mimosa when I walked in. YES...I love to Sip N Shop. Store is clean, open and organized well. Prices are affordable and pieces are trendy and cute. I liked that they had different items to offer and didn't carry the same pieces that the other surrounding boutiques carried. The only thing is that some of the items ran small on me. A large sweater didn't fit in length on my long arms. I still bought it, though, because I couldn't pass up the deal of 40% off...plus I'll just layer underneath. haha! They also need more selection in scarves. Maybe they were all snatched up by the time I got there at 9:30. Who knows. I like this store and will come here as often as my bank account allows. It's close to home, and located close to the other stores that I like to frequent. Perfect!

A few months back I received a sweater from the Cheeky Bean as a birthday present. The sweater was…read moretoo large so I went back to return it with the receipt within their 10 day notice policy for a store credit (which is the only thing they can give you anyway). The tag was removed since it was a gift. The VERY RUDE associates told me because the tag was no longer attached I could not return it. I had NEVER WORN THE SWEATER. I was only trying to exchange it for something else in the store as it was a $75 sweater that I had the receipt for! I was still planning on spending money in the store as only store credit is given. The associate was beyond rude & looked at the cash register then back at the sweater pretending like she was thinking about taking it then said "Because you don't have the tags we can't help you". From an upscale boutique in Ballantyne that I've shopped at before I was apauled that this is how they treat their customers. Let me also mention that NO ONE ELSE was even in the store shopping when I went to return it. I cannot express enough how rude the associates were to me. I will NOT recommend this store to anyone as a high class boutique as their quality of clothing can be found elsewhere where customers are appreciated and respected. VERY DISSAPOINTED.

As an old gal, I don't shop as much as I used to in my prime...but as an ex-shoppaholic, the urge…read moreto shop still hits me now and then. When it does, I have a few places that come to mind. Surprisingly, this place in Fort Mill has become one of those places in the past few years. Of course, I have other favorite boutiques in Charlotte, but this boutique is closest to my home. For a Fort Mill boutique, it's surprisingly lofty and cosmopolitan. I love how the store is so spacious, with plenty of walking space...with mirrors everywhere, so you can almost try on things (accessories!) without having to go into the dressing room (though their dressing rooms are nice and spacious as well). Their apparel and accessories are largely bohemian...casual chic. It reminds me of Boem, one of my fave boutiques in Southpark...though Broadcloth is a tad cheaper. Overall, the many cute items in this store are very affordable...which makes it super-fun. More than anything, I LOVE the accessories here. I always find something unique that catches my eye...whether it's a hat, sandals, or jewelry. Honestly, I shop more online than anything nowadays, but if I feel the need to shop in person, I usually make my rounds here, along with their younger sister store, Page, in Baxter Village (just a mile down the road). ANYWAY, it's been awhile since I did a review on a store/boutique, so I felt the need to work one up for one of my current faves.

Had the pleasure of visiting this shop this past Saturday and I will say that I'd love to come back…read moreat some point! The store is located in the Blakeny shopping area. It was REALLY congested that day as there was some kid event that caused major parking problems. I got a headache trying to find parking and trying to not cause majore traffic jams with the other impatient people trying to park. The store carries really trendy items...and at a mid-level price range. The cool thing about L.A. East is that the items that they stock are few...that way people aren't walking around with the same thing. I like that. Items are trendy, edgy, and some a bit pricey. Lots of jewelry to choose from at a really great prices. Wait. *does a double take* Is that beer on tap?? Yes, my fellow shoppers, L.A. East hands out beer while you shop. For free. All store should follow suit. I don't care if it's cheap beer or cheap wine.....That made me want to stay and it increased my shopping experience to great heights. It's nice to be appreciated and to feel welcomed into a place where you are potentially going to drop a lot of cash. Thank you L.A. East (aka L.A. Gear..hahah that's what I kept calling it) for a great shopping experience
