I went back on a Monday and talked to Eric about their cigar selection. The have quite a selection but he said their Perdomo Bourbon Barrel aged cigars were their most popular. A mild smoke with good flavor and not harsh. Eric was great at walking me through all the options. A great experience all together and a place that I would highly recommend.

In fact they have all of the vitamins you're used to finding at the grocery store and then some you may have never heard of. They've got energy and protein bars, protein powders and shake mixes, serious lunch boxes for meal prep. They even have food and spices for folks with dietary restrictions like GF for example. The most surprising thing I found here was the entire kombucha bar. You can buy a growler or bring in your own and fill it up from the tap. The prices weren't so different from what I've seen at grocers and drugstores for the same stuff. That's surprising for a specialty store. And staff was well informed and super helpful.

I returned my scones because the bakery changed the recipe, and the woman actually went to the shelf to find another package and said open it and taste one to see if it was an issue just with the batch you got. Who does that?! Sprouts does! Again, just really love the staff and I found wild caught frozen halibut so that I could make it at home! I did take pictures of the homemade jalapeño focaccia bread, and it is phenomenal! This is also the only local grocery store where I could find organic sourdough bread and they have different flavors! If you're in Ballantyne, give them a shot. They have chocolate from Dubai and I love their organic dark chocolate with a hint of salt. There are tons of gluten-free options from pasta to bread and crackers. You name it. Before she took over my purchase, I clearly said to her that I do not want to be enrolled in any membership... Well, she started to type in the cashier, she told me she will help with some discounts, etc., from a total of $150 (Aprox), after she did some adjustments the final bill was about $107 or so. When I was about to paid, she saw my card and mentioned that only the ppl who has money has the contactless thingy in their cards. (What?!) I paid and then she started to offered and showed me other products, I did not want to buy more items that day, so we came back to the cashier station and she asked me to swipe my card again... I asked if the previous transaction did not get thru, and she did not responded. (My bad!) Meanwhile, I was in my phone activating the free rewards program and she told me that the app offers more coupons and I must download it. (I did not do it). She said me that I was a VIP customer, blah, blah, blah... I said thanks for your help and left with tons of points, a $10 coupon, and the feeling that something was not right but I had to go. Well, later on I realized that she DID enroll me on a PRO membership for $39.99 less a discount she managed on my ticket. She discounted the other items so I did not notice she added the membership there! She folded the ticket before she gave it to me. But that is not all, I got an email about my AUTOMATIC Pro membership RENEWAL for $39.99!!! Two young employees were there, apparently they did not know about what was happening. I called the VIP pro membership number, they apologized and cancelled the automatic renewal. The lady told me to expect a refund which until today the charges for the membership she enrolled me in an unethical and dishonest way were not retuned on my bank. But they do not even care about this unethical practices. Look online... it is a common thing and nobody does anything to fix it. Yes, I went back today to the store again and she was not there, I got my money back from one of the employees there. Shame on you lady! People be aware please! Aldi always has some interesting stuff in their "random" aisle. Today, it included bookshelves, flipflops and lawn seed spreaders. Odd but perhaps this is exactly what you need.
